The bottom line

On the surface, the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro may seem simple. But the technology behind the Vibe pods elevates these devices from average to truly special. Where else have you heard of a pod that changes resistances? Nowhere!

The two different resistances from a single pod make these devices incredibly versatile. Usually, you would need multiple pods to use a range of nicotine strengths, but the Vibe pods make this possible with just a single pod. Freebase ejuices or nicotine salt ejuices, just fill the pod and select the appropriate mode, and you’re in business.

The simplicity of a two-mode selection switch that covers airflow, wattage, and coil resistance makes the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro just as well suited for beginner vapers as they are for more experienced ones. While these devices lack independent wattage and airflow control, as an avid MTL vaper, I liked the MTL experience and different outputs.

Should you choose the Vibe or Vibe Nano Pro? If you like a lighter and slimmer device, the Vibe is the better choice. But the Vibe Nano Pro should be your pick if you value longer battery life and a nicer display at the expense of a bit of portability.

The Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro aren’t without their faults, but they’re overall solid, innovative, and excellent devices.

Highly recommended.

The Vibe and Vibe Nano are two devices from VAPORESSO’s all-new MTL series. These pod vapes use new dual mesh technology pods, which enhances the flavor and lifespan of the pods. According to VAPORESSO, they’re not only leak-proof but can last for 30+ refills (up to 50000 puffs).

The Vibe is a slim device with an 1100mAh battery and a 0.54” OLED screen. The Vibe Nano Pro is a larger device with a 1500mAh battery and a 0.96” TFT screen. Both devices have a maximum wattage output of 24W and come with a 4.5ml capacity, 1.0Ω dual mesh pod.

What’s really cool, though, is that this pod offers two experiences, depending on which mode you use. In ECO mode, the 1.0Ω pod will output 12W. But in Power mode, it outputs 20W with a 0.6Ω resistance.

The Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro have two output modes, Power and Eco, with two-mode airflow control that is tied to the mode selection. This simultaneous adjustment of power and airflow keeps things simple, which aligns with VAPORESSO’s slogan for these devices: “SUPER VIBE, EASY LIFE.”

But while these may seem like simple devices, is there more to the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro than meets the eye? Learn everything you need to know about the VAPORESSO Vibe and Vibe Nano in this review.

Design & Build Quality

  • VAPORESSO Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro - 1

The Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro come in eight color options, but there are two that stand out. The ‘Turbo Blue’ and ‘Racing Red’ colors are, for lack of better words, a vibe (don’t hate me). These colors have a racing stripe down the center, which makes them look a bit retro, and I think it’s cool.

The other six colors don’t have a racing stripe and consist of four solid colors and two gradient ones. Black and Silver are the most professional and neutral, but Sky Blue, Fresh Green, Cherry Pink, and Berry Purple are there for those who want some color but not the racing stripe decor.

The Vibe Nano Pro feels like a chunky device, but the overall dimensions aren’t too large. At 89.5mm tall, 50.5mm wide, and 21.3mm thick, it’s thicker than most small and square pod vapes. It’s also a little taller.

Its little brother, the Vibe, is a pen-style or stick-style pod vape. It’s 121.1mm tall, 25mm wide, and 16mm thick. This is similar in dimensions to other pod vapes of the same style.

As for weight, the Vibe Nano Pro is 94g, and the Vibe is 54g. At nearly half the weight, the Vibe feels much lighter. This makes it my pick for portability between the two, but I’ve been carrying both around, and neither is too large or heavy.

The simple design of the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro looks great. The shell is made of aluminum alloy and feels rigid and strong. The satin metallic finish over top is durable and has survived a few drops onto concrete without showing any signs of wear.

There are no buttons on the Vibe or Vibe Nano Pro, only a mode selection switch. The switch feels great and works as it should. There’s a bit more resistance to the switch on the Vibe, which I like, but both feel firm and decisive.

There’s an ejuice viewing window on the side of the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro, but I didn’t find it all that helpful, especially on the Vibe Nano Pro. The Vibe Nano Pro has a slightly frosted window, which impairs visibility of the pod. The Vibe has a cutout window with no insert.

The windows are small, and the pods are tinted (even if ever so slightly). I tried to use the window, but in the end, I found removing the pod easier than struggling.

Both devices have a display. The one on the Vibe Nano Pro is larger and nicer. It’s a 0.96”, full-color TFT screen. The Vibe has a smaller, black and white, 0.54” OLED screen. Both devices show the same information, such as battery life, mode, wattage output, and puffs.

Pods

VAPORESSO Vibe Nano Pro - 11

The Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro use all-new Vibe pods that are (currently) exclusive to these devices. In the future, more devices may use these pods. But for now, if you want to try them out, you’ll have to get the Vibe or Vibe Nano Pro.

These pods use dual mesh technology for stronger and richer flavor, which is great and all, but what I found more interesting was the cotton. According to VAPORESSO, the cotton is so absorbent that the pod can be filled and used after only 20 seconds. Each pod is also rated for 30+ refills, which is up to 50,000 puffs when the devices are used in ECO mode.

Included with the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro is a single 1.0Ω Vibe Series Dual Mesh Pod. There will also be a 0.8Ω pod available, which will be sold separately.

These pods are side-filled, and the port sits hidden in the device when inserted. You have to remove the pod to fill. Filling is easy and straightforward, and I had no trouble filling with standard 30ml nic salt ejuices.

Leaking is not something that I’ve experienced while using these pods.

Features

  • VAPORESSO Vibe Nano Pro - 13

The Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro seem like simple devices, and in terms of using them, they are. But the pods have a clever feature that makes these more than your average beginner pod vape.

But before I get into that, I have to go over the modes. There is a switch on the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro that is used to go between the two modes: Eco and Power mode.

On the Vibe Nano Pro, this switch is positioned on the bottom of the device. On the Vibe, it’s on the side. This switch also simultaneously changes the airflow between a MTL draw in Power mode, and a tighter MTL draw in Eco Mode.

  • VAPORESSO Vibe - 10

Here is where it gets interesting! The pods offer two experiences, depending on which mode you use. In ECO mode, the resistance of the pod stays the same. However, in Power mode, the resistance changes. The pods work as follows:

  • ECO: 14W, 0.8Ω – PWR: 24W, 0.4Ω
  • ECO: 12W, 1.0Ω – PWR: 20W, 0.6Ω

Out of the box, you essentially get 1.0Ω and 0.6Ω pod resistances from the single 1.0Ω pod, which is nuts. I can see a lot of uses for this, like switching between nic salts and freebase ejuices with the same pod. Just use ECO for nic salts and Power for freebase ejuices.

Battery life & Charging

VAPORESSO Vibe Nano Pro - 9

Since it’s a bit bulkier, you might have guessed that the Vibe Nano Pro has a larger capacity battery than the Vibe. If you did, you’re correct. The Vibe Nano Pro has a 1500mAh battery vs the 1100mAh battery in the Vibe.

For my testing, I used the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro with a mix of the 1.0Ω and 0.8Ω pods. I also frequently changed between ECO and Power modes. The Vibe Nano Pro lasted for over 250 puffs with this kind of usage, while the Vibe lasted for around 190 puffs.

With the changing resistance of the pod and the different power outputs, it’s difficult to say how long the battery is going to last you. For some vapers, the battery in the Vibe might not last you the day if you’re seriously vaping all day long.

In addition to having a larger capacity battery, the Vibe Nano Pro also has a 2A charging speed. The Vibe is limited to 1A charging. Because of this, the Vibe Nano Pro recharges more quickly than the Vibe, even with it’s larger capacity battery. A full charge with the Vibe Nano Pro takes only 41 minutes. The Vibe takes 50-55 minutes for a full charge.

Performance

VAPORESSO Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro - 2

I’ve been having an absolute blast testing out the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro. The pod resistance changing with the mode is a first-of-its-kind feature, and with that, there are a lot of possibilities for how these devices can be used for vaping.

But is there a difference between the Vibe and Vibe Nano Pro? No. The two devices vape exactly the same, with the same wattage outputs for each pod and the same airflow. Regardless of which one you choose, you’ll get the same overall vaping experience.

Even with their changing resistances, one thing that remains true for the 1.0Ω and 0.8Ω pods is that these are MTL pods. Although in Power Mode, the resistances change to 0.6Ω and 0.4Ω, respectively, they don’t provide a DL or even a RDL vape. Mouth-to-lung vaping is what you’ll get out of these pods, so although the resistance change might lead you to believe otherwise, don’t expect anything but a MTL draw.

The flavor from these pods is intense. The flavor from their previous device pods was already excellent, so it’s surprising that there was room for improvement. The 0.8Ω pod is a shade more intense than the 1.0Ω pod, and this is most noticeable in Power mode, where it’s a 24W output vs 20W.

Nicotine salts of all strengths work out just fine with these pods when they are used in ECO mode. The draw gets a bit too strong with high-strength nicotine salts (>35mg/ml)  in power mode, but medium-strength nicotine salts (20-30mg/ml) are doable. But where the changing resistance is most useful is for freebase ejuices, which are perfect when paired with these pods in Power mode.
