Aloha Sun TFN Disposable Review: A Tropical Delight

Aloha Sun is a vape brand that currently produces only one product, their signature Aloha Sun disposables. These disposables offer 3000 puffs per device and come filled with 8ml of tobacco-free nicotine ejuice in 5% (50mg) strength. Each device has a built-in 1000mAh battery, which cannot be recharged.

They offer 16 flavors, most of which are fruit flavors, like Blueberry Peach, Aloe Grape Ice, and Guava Nectar. Their flavors offer more than just your typical “Strawberry” or “Apple”, and instead are unique mixes of multiple fruits, which is interesting to see.

Design & Build Quality

Each Aloha Sun disposable is a medium-large sized device that stands 106mm tall, with a 23mm diameter. They aren’t too large, so you can still easily carry around one or two in your pocket at a time, but they also aren’t exactly small. Each one has a tube shape that feels good to grip and use, and overall I like the simple shape.

Each disposable comes filled with 8ml of ejuice and houses a 1000mAh battery. This is good for around 3000 puffs per device. These are not rechargeable, so all you have to do is vape on them until they die out and then properly dispose of them. No maintenance of any kind is required. 

Aloha Sun disposables have a glossy sticker around the entire body, and on this sticker is where you find most of the design elements of these disposables. Although it’s a sticker and not a finish on the actual body, it’s held up well with day-to-day use and has not peeled, gotten nicked, or scratched. It seems like a good-quality sticker.

Each device has the same general design, with nods to the Hawaiian lifestyle. There are small waves which border the top and bottom of the body, along with subtle flowers, turtles, and other tribal elements in the background.

The ALOHA SUN logo is printed right at the top, with the flavor printed right below it. There’s also an image below the flavor which makes it even easier to tell what the flavor is at a glance. For instance, the Passion Orange flavor has a picture of oranges, and Cookie Butter has a picture of cookes. All of the art on these disposables is in the style of an old-school painting, which is pretty neat.

I like how these disposable have a fair bit of design that has gone into the sticker on the main body, but they don’t look too busy or overdone. They definitely stand out a fair bit more than a plain disposable, but they do look cool. Around the base of the mouthpiece there are embossed flowers, for a further little bit of design.

On the bottom is where you’ll find six airflow holes, arranged to look like a flower. There’s also an LED light here that lights up whenever you take a draw. The light isn’t too bright so it doesn’t attract too much attention, even in a darkly lit room.

Flavors

Aloha Sun disposables come in quite a bit of flavor options; 16 flavors to be exact. These are mostly tropical fruit mixes, but they also offer two non-fruit flavors with their Cookie Butter and White Gummy Ice disposables.

I was sent five of their flavors for this review: Blueberry Peach, Lilikoi Passion, Cookie Butter, Passion Orange, and White Gummy Ice. I’m going to describe how each of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. Keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it, and vice-versa. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Lilikoi Passion

If you are unaware, lilikoi is another name for passion fruit. This is a true and legit passion fruit flavor with light floral notes and a balanced amount of sweetness. It has a nice taste that is pure passion fruit, and it makes a great all-day vape if you like floral flavors.

White Gummy Ice

White Gummy Ice is a nice candy flavor because it’s sweet, but doesn’t blast you with too much of a sugar taste that you feel sick. It’s a more subtle sweetness that tastes identical to eating a gummy bear, with a little bit of cooling too. Candy and ice lovers will definitely enjoy this flavor.

Cookie Butter

This definitely has a cookie taste, but it’s not one that I’m fond of. It’s very rich, strong, and too overpowering for my liking. I also get a not-so-pleasant aftertaste that starts on the exhale. This is my least favorite of the five flavors that I tried.

Passion Orange

This is among the best orange flavors that I’ve tried. It has a strong and authentic orange flavor, with a sharp, almost sour, orange juice flavor on the exhale. I can also taste a less intense, but still noticeable passion fruit flavor in here, and the two flavors mesh together in a nice way. 

Blueberry Peach

This is hands-down my favorite flavor that I was sent. Blueberry and peach come together at once and deliver a sweet and fruity taste that I can’t get enough of. This is a really great flavor for any fruit lover, and I can almost guarantee that you won’t be disappointed if you try it. It’s just so good. The sweetness is just right and the mixing of these two fruit flavors is spot-on.

How do they vape?

Aloha Sun disposables are currently available in only one nicotine strength, which is 5% (50mg per ml). They are made with tobacco-free nicotine, meaning that they use synthetic nicotine instead of nicotine that is extracted from tobacco leaves.

I get a strong and smooth draw from these disposables, and the level of satisfaction is just right. I can take a few puffs and feel completely satisfied (although with some of the flavors, like Blueberry Peach, I want to keep puffing). These will be perfectly suited for heavy smokers looking to quit, or for heavier vapers who currently use 5% disposables or nic salt ejuices.

The draw from these is on the side of a looser mouth to lung draw, but the draw activation works right away even with just a light pull. The draw is something to make note of if you’re looking for an experience that is close to that of a cigarette, because the loose draw from these is much different.

When it comes to user-friendliness, these are about as easy to use as disposables come. There’s no airflow adjustment, and no need to recharge them, so you just use them until they die. No maintenance required. 

The downside to the lack of charging ability is that I noticed the draw getting progressively weaker as they died, which is typical of a non-rechargeable disposable. Oddly enough, some of the ones that I vaped more had a stronger draw than some of the flavors that I vaped the least. So, battery discharge aside, there’s some difference in the strength of the draw to begin with.

Verdict

Aloha Sun disposables offer refreshing and tasty fruit mixes that are straight out of the tropics. I liked the majority of the flavors that I tried, although their Cookie Butter was not for me. The draw from each one is smooth, with satisfying vapor that even heavy smokers or vapers will be happy with. The loose MTL draw is far from mimicking the draw of a cigarette though, so keep that in mind if that’s what you’re looking for.

Would I recommend these disposables? Well, if you enjoy a loose MTL draw, you’re a heavy smoker or vaper, and want to try some different fruit mixes, then yes. Those transitioning from smoking to vaping will also find these super easy to use, so Aloha Sun disposable are a prime choice in this case as well.
