The bottom line

The DOJO PUREX 60K is another great device from DOJO. Itโ€™s not the major step-up or improvement over the SPHERE S that I wanted to see, as it still packs the same 1000mAh battery, 1A charging, and still lacks an independent airflow slider, but itโ€™s still an improvement.

The INSTA-JUICED tech that keeps the e-juice fresh and prevents leaking is neat. None of the flavors I tried had any leaking issues, even after assembly, and they tasted fresh and enticing. Plus, being able to visually see the e-juice level is a great change, as I hate relying on (often wrong) e-juice indicators.

So, would I recommend the PUREX 60K? Yes, but only if you can live with the frequent charging and donโ€™t mind only having tight / slightly less tight MTL airflow modes. Otherwise, the PUREX 60K brings great flavors and a satisfying vaping experience, all in a simple and easy-to-use device.

Highly recommended.

Product Overview

In the world of disposable vapes, few brands have made an entry as impressive as DOJO. The brand first exploded onto the scene in mid-2024 with its Sphere X disposables, followed by the innovative iMate X 20K, the award-winning SPHERE S, and, most recently, the Blast 10K Fresh.

The DOJO PUREX 60K, which Iโ€™m reviewing today, seems like the natural successor to the SPHERE S. Itโ€™s similarly shaped and compact, but from the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell that this device was entirely different.

The PUREX 60K features DOJOโ€™s INSTA-JUICED tech, which keeps the e-liquid tank and device separate. Push them together when youโ€™re ready, and after a 10-second countdown, itโ€™s ready to vape. Each device comes with a 16ml e-juice tank, which DOJO claims can last for up to 60,000 puffs.

Other features include two output modes, a 1000mAh battery with 1A Type-C charging, and a battery percentage/mode display. The e-juice tank is also completely transparent, so you can visibly see how much e-juice you have left at a glance.

The DOJO PUREX 60K is available in 17 flavors at launch.

Getting Started

DOJO PUREX 60K - 3

The PUREX 60K is a little different from other disposable vapes, and youโ€™ll notice from the moment you take it out of the box. Other disposables might have a rubber stopper in the mouthpiece or a few stickers to remove, and then youโ€™re good to vape. But with the PUREX 60K, itโ€™s a bit different.

Once you take the device out of the wrapper, youโ€™ll see a plastic seal, like a clip, around the e-juice tank. Remove it. Next, push the tank into the device. This takes a bit of effort, but youโ€™ll feel and hear a click when the tank is fully seated.

Once the tank is pushed in, the screen will start a 10-second countdown. When it finishes, youโ€™re ready to vape.

DOJO PUREX 60K - 4

The whole process of setting up the DOJO PUREX 60K out of the box, including the 10-second countdown, takes less than 20 seconds, so itโ€™s super quick. Itโ€™s also straightforward: remove the clip, push the tank into the device, and wait 10 seconds.

Keeping the e-juice tank and device separate until youโ€™re ready to use it offers a few benefits. Firstly, freshness. The e-juice stays completely sealed and isn’t exposed to air until you start using the device, so it should taste fresher and better. Second, it wonโ€™t leak during transport, so you donโ€™t end up with less e-juice than you expected.

Design & Build Quality

DOJO PUREX 60K - 13

Once itโ€™s set up, the DOJO PUREX 60K looks just like a regular disposable, and you wouldnโ€™t be able to tell that it was ever a two-part device. It actually reminds me a lot of the DOJO SPHERE S, which I really liked, as itโ€™s a similar size and shape. Itโ€™s only around 91mm tall, 55mm wide, and 30mm thick, which is compact for a 60K puff disposable, but the 95g weight is about what I would expect for the 16ml of e-liquid that it holds.

The rounded sides and edges feel great in the hand, and a soft-touch finish adds to the feel. Itโ€™s an attractive device overall, with a more minimal aesthetic than the SPHERE S, but with its own unique appeal. I donโ€™t think a disposable vape needs lighting effects to look great, and the PUREX 60K’s simple design is right up my alley.

The mouthpiece has a rubber coating, which is a nice touch, and the branding is subtle and kept to a minimum. The e-juice tank is the most obvious design feature, and itโ€™s completely transparent for maximum visibility. I like that I donโ€™t have to guess how much e-juice I have left or rely on an indicator that may not be accurate; I can see the remaining e-juice with my own eyes.

DOJO PUREX 60K - 8

Positioned below the e-juice tank is a small, circular screen that displays your mode and battery percentage. Itโ€™s simple, with LED bands that light up around the display, but itโ€™s easy to read and serves its purpose. No need to overcomplicate a simple thing!

The bottom of the PUREX 60K has the mode selection switch, which also functions as the airflow control switch. Setting the device to ECO leaves two airflow holes open for a mouth-to-lung draw. Setting the switch to SMART mode opens an additional airflow hole, three in total, for a slightly looser MTL draw.

DOJO PUREX 60K - 6

Adjusting the mode and airflow at the same time keeps things simple and easy to use, which seems to be a theme with the PUREX 60K. The draw is relatively tight in ECO mode, which will suit even tight MTL vapers, and I think that the airflow and power output pair pretty well. I would still rather have independent airflow adjustment, but DOJO has done a good job with the two airflow settings.

Features

DOJO PUREX 60K - 11

Separating the e-juice tank from the device isnโ€™t a new concept for disposable vapes. Other brands, like NEXA, have been doing it for years. But what is particularly new and impressive about the PUREX 60K is its INSTA-JUICED tech, which gets the device ready to vape in just 10 seconds.

Once you push the e-juice tank into the device, a ten-second countdown appears on the display. Once the countdown is finished, you donโ€™t have to wait the typical 5-10 minutes for the wick to saturate; you can start vaping right away. I tested this on my devices, and each one delivered full flavor from the get-go, right after the countdown ended.ย

Another interesting feature is the PUREX 60Kโ€™s smart mode. This is the same feature that was on the SPHERE S, which DOJO says โ€œpersonalize(s) each puff for a fuller, richer vape experienceโ€. Thereโ€™s not much more information than that, but as far as I understand, SMART mode automatically and subtly adjusts the power output based on how strongly you inhale.

Itโ€™s hard to notice a real difference between puffs on the PUREX 60K, but itโ€™s definitely a strong and smooth draw in SMART mode.ย

Flavors

DOJO PUREX 60K - 12

At launch, there are 17 flavors available for the PUREX 60K in the USA. Interestingly, since Iโ€™m located in Canada, I received two flavors that appear to be exclusive to markets outside of the USA. The flavor selection for the PUREX 60K seems pretty standard: lots of fruit flavors, some ice options, a clear flavor, and a tobacco flavor. The flavors available for the USA are:

  • Blue Razz Ice
  • Cherry Lime
  • Citrus Bomb
  • Clear
  • Frozen Banana
  • Juicy Grape
  • Mango Pineapple
  • Mexico Mango
  • Miami Mint
  • Mint Green
  • Sour Apple Ice
  • Sour Fcuking Fab
  • Strawberry Ice
  • Strawberry Lychee Mix
  • Tobacco
  • Trio Berry
  • Watermelon Ice

Iโ€™m going to describe how four of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor, that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I donโ€™t like a flavor, this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Watermelon Dragon Fruit

This flavor doesnโ€™t appear to be made for the US market, which is a shame because itโ€™s so good. Thereโ€™s a noticeable amount of cooling, with a strong watermelon flavor and subtle but present dragon fruit notes. Itโ€™s a medium level of sweetness, with about the same amount of cooling.

Sour Guava

The cooling here is less strong than Watermelon Dragon Fruit, but the sweetness is a bit stronger. The guava flavor is super juicy, and the tartness is just right for a little tickle of sourness on the taste buds.

Sour Fcuking Fab

This is a flavor that has become a staple for disposable brands, and DOJO gets it right. Itโ€™s more tart than Sour Guava, and really zaps my taste buds. The sweetness is about a four out of five, with a great fruity flavor and minimal cooling.

Mexico Mango

This mango flavor is done right, with a good amount of sweetness, minimal cooling, and no tartness. Itโ€™s juicy and candied, which really hits the spot for an all-day disposable flavor. I couldnโ€™t get enough of this flavor, and if you try it, donโ€™t be surprised if you feel the same way!

How long do they last?

DOJO PUREX 60K - 15

The PUREX 60K packs a 1000mAh battery, which is a surprisingly low capacity for a device with so many other tech advancements. Battery life is still decent in SMART mode, and even good in ECO, but how long the battery lasts is going to depend on how often youโ€™re vaping.

For me, I could stretch the battery life to 3 days by using the PUREX 60K entirely in ECO mode, but it dropped to 2 days in SMART mode. Your mileage will vary, of course, but expect to charge frequently.

In addition to the rather small 1000mAh battery capacity, charging speed is rated at 1A. Luckily, 1000mAh doesnโ€™t take long to recharge, but it still took about an hour to go from 0% to 100% battery.

If DOJO releases a PUREX 60K successor in the future, a higher battery capacity and faster charging speeds are must-haves in my book.

As for actual e-juice usage, each full drain of the battery used just over a quarter of the e-juice in the tank, which means youโ€™ll be able to drain the battery around four times before needing a replacement device.

How do they vape?

DOJO PUREX 60K - 16

The PUREX 60K vapes a lot like the DOJO SPHERE S, which for a long time was rated as one of our top disposable vape picks. The PUREX 60K is basically the same experience, but with a slightly tighter draw, and I think that this small airflow change really elevates the experience.

ECO mode delivers a smooth but satisfying draw, and itโ€™s not too powerful or overwhelming with vapor. I still get a nice throat hit, but chain-vaping is no problem. The flavor is great, and I donโ€™t think that the flavors suffer much from the lower output.

Each draw still tastes great, which often isnโ€™t the case with a disposable’s low-output mode. The tight mouth-to-lung draw is also just right: not so tight that I struggle to draw, but tight enough for the restricted draw I enjoy.

SMART mode is a noticeably warmer, looser, and more powerful draw. Itโ€™s a definite step-up in draw strength from ECO, which is nice for those times when you want that little bit extra from your vape.

Also worth mentioning is that the draw stays strong and consistent, regardless of the battery charge level. Even when the battery is below 5%, the draw never dulls or gets weaker. The flavor and satisfaction stay the same right up until the device dies and refuses to activate.

Verdict
