The bottom line

The NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition is a magical little device. While I don’t know the exact science behind the cloud-free functionality, I do know that it works. The lack of clouds takes some getting used to, but otherwise, the vaping experience is unchanged from the cloud-producing NEXA Ultra 50000.

I also like that NEXA included a dark mode on this device because it shows that they really thought about how they could make the device as discreet as possible. After all, what use is a cloud-free device if it lights up the room and attracts everyone’s attention?

Paired together, dark mode and the cloud-free functionality make the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition the most stealthy and discreet vaping device ever. It also brings everything that I love about the NEXA Ultra 50000, such as a high puff count, a sturdy design, and great flavor.

If you liked the NEXA Ultra 50000 but wish that it was a bit more discreet, the InvisaCloud Edition is the answer.

Not too long ago, I reviewed the NEXA Ultra 50000, a disposable vape that I really loved. It had a nice design, different modes, adjustable airflow, and fifteen great flavors. But one thing that I didn’t like was the discreetness—or rather, the lack thereof. The techno animations were cool, but couldn’t be turned off, and this attracted a lot of attention whenever I used it.

Enter the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition. This device keeps everything that I loved about the Nexa Ultra 50000 but with an added focus on discreetness. The new “Dark mode” turns off the animations, leaving a minimal and stealthy display.

But NEXA didn’t release a new device just for a stealthy display. In addition to dark mode, the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition goes a step further to be unobtrusive with its ‘Cloud-free’ function. Inhale deeply for two to three seconds, and there’s no vapor at all.

Other noteworthy specs include a clear e-liquid tank, two vaping modes, and a percentage battery life readout. The NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition has an 800mAh battery that recharges with 2A Type-C charging.

If you liked the NEXA Ultra 50000 but wanted something a bit more discreet, is the InvisaCloud Edition the right pick? Let’s find out.

Getting Started

  • NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 1

Once you open the box, you’ll notice that the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition has some unique packaging compared to other disposable vapes.

The battery and e-juice tank are separately packaged, requiring assembly before use. But don’t worry, it’s a simple and straightforward process that only takes about 30 seconds, and there are several benefits to keeping the battery and e-juice separate.

Firstly, it prevents any potential leaks within the box. Secondly, it ensures that the eliquid and wick stay fresh until you start using the device.

Setting up the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition is easy. Begin by removing the rubber cap from the battery’s side and the silicone plug from the mouthpiece. Then, align the foil-covered hole of the ejuice tank with the wick protruding from the battery side and push firmly until you hear a ‘click.’ Make sure that the tank is sitting flush with the battery, and you’re good to go.

While the instructions don’t mention waiting before using the device, I strongly advise doing so. I left my devices to sit for at least 10 minutes for the wick to soak up the ejuice, just to be safe and avoid any potential burning.

Design & Build Quality

  • NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 7

After the battery and ejuice tank are put together, the Nexa Ultra InvisaCloud Edition is pretty much what you would expect from a disposable vape. It’s 100mm tall, 53mm wide, and 28mm deep, and it weighs 94g. This is about in line with other large, high puff count vapes, but this one offers up to 50,000 puffs. With that in mind, it’s smaller than I would expect and it feels great in the hand.

Although I can’t completely conceal it in my palm (and unless you’re a giant, you probably can’t either), this is the device to stealth vape with. You might not think so at first due to the light show that erupts every time you draw, but this can be turned off by holding the button for 3 seconds.

When the lighting is turned on, each draw lights the device up with a circuit board theme that dances around the device. A chip socket sort of icon also lights up around the front of the device with the battery percentage displayed in the middle.

  • NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 16

When the lighting is turned off, only the battery percentage and mode light up, which makes it much more discreet and stealthy. Plus, the cloud-free feature makes it look like you’re not even vaping in the first place, which is pretty cool.

Like the NEXA Ultra 50000, the ejuice tank on the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition is clear. This eliminates the need for an ejuice readout on the display because your remaining ejuice is clearly visible from a quick glance at the tank. I prefer the clear tank over an ejuice indicator because you can physically see your remaining ejuice and don’t have to rely on a readout that may or may not be accurate.

Branding is kept to a minimum, with a small NEXA logo on the front of the device. The flavor is printed just above the logo.

While the device is a little large, I like the design overall. It feels solid once assembled, and the ejuice tank stays firmly attached. If you didn’t know that the two pieces were user-assembled, you probably wouldn’t guess it from the solid feel.

Features

NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 15

The NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition has the exact same features and specs as the NEXA Ultra 50000, but with the addition of two new features: dark mode and the cloud-free functionality.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the NEXA Ultra 50000 and this device, here’s the rundown. This is an ultra high puff count disposable vape, offering more puffs than most other disposables on the market today.

You might think that it accomplishes this by simply having more ejuice, but that’s not that case. While the 15ml of ejuice that it comes with is a fair amount, there are other disposables on the market that come with more ejuice. However, those devices don’t offer up to 50,000 puffs. So how can this be?

It all has to do with the eliquid tank. You see, most disposable vapes have a large piece of cotton (wick) that surrounds the coil and all of the ejuice is held by this cotton. As you vape, the cotton slowly dries out until ejuice is no longer saturating near the coil. At this point, you get a burnt taste and the vape is done for. But there’s still ejuice left in the cotton; it’s just dispersed throughout the cotton and unable to concentrate near the coil.

The NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition solves this problem by keeping a short wick that leads directly from the ejuice tank to the coil. There’s no large piece of cotton holding all of the ejuice and so the device is able to use and vaporize all of the ejuice in the tank. The way that this device uses ejuice is more similar to refillable devices like tanks and pod vapes.

So while another disposable vape might come prefilled with 15ml of ejuice, you might only get to use 12ml. The NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition comes with 15ml of ejuice, and you can use all of it – and that’s how it achieves more puffs than other disposables on the market today.

The NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition features two modes: normal and TURBO. It’s rated for 50,000 puffs in normal mode and 30,000 puffs in TURBO mode. If you want to get the most puffs, then you’ll want to keep it in normal mode. The mode can be switched by pressing the button on the front of the device.

Dark Mode

NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 17

Dark mode is one of the new features that sets the InvisaCloud Edition apart from the regular Ultra 50000. The inability to turn off the lighting was one of my main complaints about the NEXA Ultra 50000, so I’m glad to see that NEXA has included this feature with the InvisaCloud Edition.

By pressing and holding the button for three seconds, the lighting effects can be turned off for a stealthier and more discreet appearance.

Cloud-Free Functionality

Want to know what’s even stealthier than turning off the lighting? Vaping with no clouds, and that’s exactly what this device does!

The main new feature of the InvisaCloud Edition is the ability to vape cloud-free by deeply inhaling for two to three seconds. Cool, right? But how is this possible?

While I don’t have the details (and I don’t think NEXA will be releasing this information either), I’m assuming that the ejuice is a high PG (propylene glycol) ratio rather than high VG (vegetable glycerin) like most ejuices.

Since VG is the ingredient that produces clouds, a low amount of VG would make the device cloud-free. This doesn’t explain how clouds are still produced when lightly inhaled, but that’s all that I could come up with.

Regardless, the whole cloud-free thing is like magic. Inhale deeply and there are no clouds whatsoever. Inhale lightly and quickly and it’s like any other disposable vape.

This functionality makes the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud the perfect companion for stealthy vaping and there’s nothing else like it on the market right now. Really cool!

Airflow

NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 14

At the bottom of the device, you’ll find an adjustable airflow slider. Keeping it open allows for a mouth-to-lung draw with moderate restriction, while closing it down progressively tightens the draw all the way down to a very restricted MTL draw with little airflow.

I prefer the airflow wide open or only slightly closed because closing the slider too much makes drawing difficult and diminishes flavor. The airflow slider has a solid feel, is easy to adjust, and provides an excellent range for fine-tuning the mouth-to-lung draw.

How long do they last?

NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 19

Like the NEXA Ultra 50000, the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition comes with a built-in 8000mAh battery, and it supports 2A charging for quick recharge times.

I would have liked a larger battery for a device that offers this many puffs, like 1000mAh, just to reduce the number of overall charges. But the 800mAh battery is good for a couple of days of use per charge, which is not too bad.

I clocked the charging time from dead to fully charged, and it took a little over an hour to complete.

The first charge left me about halfway to the first notch on the ejuice tank. The second charge left me just at the first notch. Each subsequent charge after this used about one notch of ejuice on the tank.

Considering this, you can anticipate getting approximately six complete charges from each device before the ejuice tank runs out. For heavy vapers like myself, this translates to nearly two weeks of usage per device, which is quite good.

Flavors

NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition Flavors

A downside of the NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition compared to the NEXA Ultra 50000 is the lack of flavor choices. While the Ultra has over fifteen flavors available, there are only five available for the InvisaCloud Edition. These flavors are:

  • Berry Siren
  • Blue Wizard
  • Mint Mancer
  • Peach Luna
  • Watermelon Phantom

I’m going to describe how two of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor, that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor, this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Blue Wizard

This is a sweet blend of blueberries and raspberries with a very wet flavor and vapor. It leaves a sweet and noticeable aftertaste with each draw which I don’t mind and actually kind of like. There’s a bit of tartness here but not like you would get from a typical blue razz flavor.

Watermelon Phantom

This watermelon flavor has a bit of a candy, jolly-rancher taste to it. There’s also a slight hint of cooling too, which is nice. Like Blue Wizard, it tastes wet and it’s sweet, leaving a nice aftertaste one I’m done exhaling. The ice isn’t going to blow you away, but it’s a nice addition to the flavor.

Note: Due to the limited availability of samples, I was only sent two flavors to test out. I’ll try to get my hands on the other three flavors in the future. If I do, I will update this review.

How do they vape?

NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition - 6

The NEXA Ultra InvisaCloud Edition is offered exclusively in a nicotine strength of 50mg/ml, making it a great choice for heavy vapers or former smokers who are accustomed to higher nicotine levels. While it might be a bit intense for anyone not familiar with high-nicotine disposables, it’s just right for those who already enjoy 5% disposables.

As a 2% vaper myself, it took some time to adjust. At first, normal mode felt too strong, but after vaping on them for a while it ended up feeling just right. I gave TURBO mode a try a few times, but it turned out to be a bit too strong for me, and I didn’t enjoy the experience.

In normal mode, the draw is fantastic! I get plenty of flavor along with lots of vapor. I love being able to take a few draws here and there and feel satisfied, without having to overdo it puffing away.

The lack of vapor takes some getting used to. Throughout my time testing, I was constantly expecting to see a bunch of vapor come out whenever I exhaled, so it was weird to see nothing come out. It’s working as intended though, and it really is a cloud-free experience if you just hold in the vapor for just two to three seconds.

The flavor has remained consistent across both of my devices, even after several charges. I haven’t completely finished one yet, but I’m down to the last notch on my Blue Wizard device and the flavor and overall vaping experience are just as good as when I first started using it.

Verdict
