VOOPOO VRIZZ 2 Review: Can It Replace Your Disposables?

The VRIZZ 2 is a pretty big device. But when you consider just how big disposable vapes have gotten recently, it’s not much larger than those, especially considering that the VRIZZ 2 is meant to be a disposable alternative.

At 101.5mm tall, 53mm wide, and 25.5mm thick, it’s a handful for sure. This is a similar size to the original VRIZZ, just slightly larger. It’s not a bad size for having a 15ml capacity pod, though. The 100g weight is noticeable, but less than I expected for a device of this size.

While the original VRIZZ was mostly made of aluminum alloy, the VRIZZ 2 is almost entirely made of plastic, which makes it feel less premium than the original. While I wouldn’t say that it feels cheap, the all-plastic construction definitely won’t win any awards in the design department.

To its credit, though, the VRIZZ 2 is durable. It doesn’t scratch or scuff like some other plastic devices I’ve used, and it’s quite wear-resistant overall. Even the “leather” grip that spans around the sides and back of the device is still in good condition after a few weeks of use.

There’s no lanyard included in the box, but the VRIZZ 2 does have a lanyard anchor spot if you want to use one. The way it’s integrated into the front side of the device looks odd, and I think the device would have looked better without it, but if you like using lanyards, you’ll be glad that it’s there.

The huge 15ml capacity pod sits nearly completely concealed inside the device, but there’s a viewport on the side that allows you to check your e-juice level without removing it. The pod is only lightly tinted, so it’s pretty easy to see how much e-juice is left through this window.

The screen on the VRIZZ 2 is nice but simple. There’s a huge battery percentage display front and center, an atomizer indicator which lets you know if you’re using the pod in alternating or dual mesh mode (more on this later), and the mode selection display. Using the button below the display allows you to change between the three modes.

The bottom of the VRIZZ 2 has an airflow control slider and a Type-C charging port.

Features

The most interesting feature of the VRIZZ 2 is the dual-resistance, dual mesh VRIZZ V2 pod, which changes resistance depending on your mode. In Turbo and Normal mode, both mesh coils work simultaneously at a resistance of 0.4Ω. In ECO mode, the two meshes alternate and work at a resistance of 0.7Ω.

The display shows which mode you’re in and whether you’re in simultaneous or alternating mesh mode. When in Turbo or Normal modes, there are blue and red icons around the word “Atomizer” on the display, which means you’re in simultaneous mesh mode. If using ECO mode, only a blue icon is around the word, which means you’re in alternating mesh mode.

The VRIZZ 2 can output up to 30W and works at the following wattages:

• Turbo: 30W
• Normal: 22W
• Eco: 15W

The V2 dual-resistance pod is only compatible with the VRIZZ 2 and is not backward compatible with the original VRIZZ. However, VOOPOO has also released two other VRIZZ V2 pods, which are static resistances, 0.7Ω and 0.4Ω, and are compatible with the original VRIZZ.

This pod is rated to last through four refills of ejuice–60ml in total. Not only that, but VOOPOO says it’s good for 80,000 puffs if used in ECO mode. That’s way more puffs than even the highest puff disposables offer, so it’s certainly an attractive selling point for eco and budget-conscious vapers.

Additionally, VOOPOO has added a large cotton buffer surrounding the coil, which creates two separate zones inside. The zone where the actual vaporizing happens is kept in a vacuum, and this prevents leaking.

It seems to be pretty effective too, and working as intended, because I haven’t had any leaking at all during my time with the VRIZZ 2. The bottom of the pod and connection area have remained completely dry, with not even a drop leaking out.

Airflow

The airflow slider on the VRIZZ 2 offers more precise control than the original, with eight airflow holes arranged in four rows of two holes. The airflow holes can be closed off two at a time, which essentially gives four different modes of airflow.

Leaving the airflow wide open provides a ‘regular’ mouth-to-lung draw that is not too tight or too loose. Closing down the airflow makes the draw progressively tighter, until it reaches a very tight MTL draw with only two holes open.

Battery Life & Charging

The VRIZZ 2 has a 1350mAh battery, which is a 550mAh increase over the original VRIZZ. A 15ml pod capacity is great, but if you’re recharging all the time, it makes the experience less smooth, so the larger battery is a welcome upgrade.

The VRIZZ 2 lasts for around a third of a pod on a single charge, and this is while switching between the three modes, giving them all about equal use. The average vaper can expect to get at least a couple of days without having to recharge, and probably around a week before having to refill.

Charging speed is listed as 1.2A. That’s disappointing for a device released in 2025 where I’m expecting a 2A charge speed from every device that comes out. Charging takes an hour and twenty minutes for a full charge, and the display stays on with the battery percentage for the duration of the charge.

The VRIZZ 2 has pass-through charging, so it can be used while it recharges.

Performance

The VRIZZ 2 is supposed to be an alternative to disposable vapes, so I had some expectations in mind: it has to deliver good flavor, remain easy to use, and be hassle-free. 

For my testing, I used two different e-juices: a 20mg/ml nicotine salt e-juice and a 6mg/ml freebase e-juice. I tested both e-juices with all three modes to experience the performance with the alternating coil setup (ECO mode) and the simultaneous coil setup (Turbo and Normal modes).

With nicotine salts, the VRIZZ 2 delivers a pretty powerful draw if used in Turbo or Normal modes. Normal is still usable, but I couldn’t take more than a draw or two in Turbo mode. It’s a real nicotine rush, which makes sense because Turbo and Normal modes work at a resistance of 0.4Ω with the two mesh coils working simultaneously. Freebase e-juice works much better for Turbo mode, with a 6mg e-juice vaping just right in this mode.

ECO was my preferred mode for nicotine salts. The 0.7Ω resistance and 15W output feel most similar to a disposable experience, and I especially liked the range of airflow adjustment because it allowed me to get the draw down to my ideal semi-tight MTL.

As a side note, the VRIZZ 2 took a few milliliters of e-juice to get going, and before it did, I was disappointed. But once the pod broke in, the flavor of my e-juices came out much better, and I started to enjoy the experience. If you don’t get good flavor right away, just stick with it for a few milliliters!

VOOPOO seems to have perfected the VRIZZ 2’s leak resistance. It remained leak-free for the entirety of my testing, which is impressive due to the large pod and airflow hole on its underside. 

Pod life has also been good. I’ve vaped about two full pods, 30ml of ejuice, and there’s been no change in the leak resistance, wicking, or flavor. Will it last for 60ml? I’m not sure, but I think 30ml is a pretty good early indication that these pods are made to last.

Verdict

If I were a disposable vaper looking to switch to a refillable vape, the VRIZZ 2 would be a good device to do it with. The 15ml pod capacity is a main reason why, allowing you to fill it and forget it for days, maybe even weeks, depending on how much you vape.

The leak resistance is also something that makes the VRIZZ 2 extremely attractive. Disposable vapes don’t leak, so if you’re switching to a refillable, you won’t want to deal with leaking either, and in this aspect, the VRIZZ 2 doesn’t disappoint.

The dual-resistance pod is a really nice inclusion. It adds versatility to the VRIZZ 2, allowing it to be used with nicotine salts and freebase e-juices, all without changing the pod. Pair this with the wide range of adjustable airflow, and getting a different vaping experience is as easy as pressing the button to change the mode.

So, who is the VRIZZ 2 for? Vapers looking to switch from disposables, MTL vapers, and vapers who want a device that they can fill and forget for a couple of days will get the most out of this device. However, if you’re looking for an RDL vape that recharges quickly for minimal downtime, or a device that looks and feels very premium, you may want to pass on the VRIZZ 2.
