I like that OXVA has been constantly improving its devices, not just releasing devices that are different in design but the same or marginally better in performance. The NeXLIM shows that OXVA is doing what it takes to earn the trust and money of vapers.
If given the choice between the NeXLIM and the XLIM Pro 2, the NeXLIM is an easy choice. You get a higher wattage output, a larger battery, and an overall more polished design and experience. Even when compared to other pod vapes out there, the NeXLIM is one of the best options that you can get.
Highly recommended.

Product Overview
The NeXLIM is the latest pod system in OXVA’s long line of “XLIM” series devices. The NeXLIM joins the XLIM Pro 2, XLIM GO, and XLIM SE 2, and it’s positioned as a simple and beginner-friendly pod vape.
So, what’s different about the NeXLIM? Compared to previous XLIM series devices, the NeXLIM is the most powerful and full-featured device yet. It has a large 4ml capacity pod, two output modes, three themes, and adjustable wattage up to 40W. It also has a 0.85” color display and a 1500mAh capacity battery.
If all of that wasn’t enough to sell you on the NeXLIM, there’s more. This device comes with two new NeXLIM pods that use OXVA’s new Dual Mesh Technology. According to OXVA, these pods deliver 200% more flavor and a 200% longer lifespan than their previous pods.
I spent two weeks using the NeXLIM to find out how OXVA’s latest pod vape performs, and to find out if it’s worth recommending to our readers.

Design & Build Quality
The best way to describe the NeXLIM is as a more polished version of the XLIM Pro 2. The two devices’ designs share more similarities than differences, so the NeXLIM looks and feels familiar. However, the small changes make it feel more modern and premium.
The NeXLIM has a curved front and back, which is a change from the flat face of the XLIM Pro 2. As a result, the circular display is also curved, which gives it a cool look. This display is 0.85 inches in size, full color, and high definition.
Other small design changes include slightly indented sides, a smaller front panel area, and room for the larger NeXLIM pod.
The device is made of mostly zinc alloy, with a choice of colors and panels available. There are many leather panels, a few PCTG panels, and two carbon-fiber panels (although I can’t say if it’s real carbon fiber).
As a whole, the device feels solid and premium. I know a high-quality device when I see it; holding and using it only confirms this feeling.
The NeXLIM is slightly larger than the XLIM Pro 2 at 122mm tall, 28.5mm wide, and 17.5mm deep (XLIM Pro 2 dimensions: 114.5mm x 25mm x 15mm), but it still feels like a compact and slim pod vape. It’s also a bit heavier at 85g vs 67g, but this only adds to the solid feel and doesn’t make it any less portable, at least not for me.
One side of the device has a small, flat adjustment button, which changes modes, the wattage, and more. The other side has a small airflow adjustment slider. Lastly, you’ll find the Type-C charging port at the bottom of the device. I’ll get into detail on all of these features a little later.
Pods
Although the NeXLIM is a part of OXVA’s “XLIM” family of devices, it does not use XLIM cartridges as standard. Instead, OXVA has introduced entirely new pods for the NeXLIM called NeXLIM Cartridges.
These new cartridges use OXVA’s “UniTech 2.0, ” their latest pod and wick technology. In layman’s terms, these pods have a unique structure that has been created specifically to enhance flavor, increase pod life, and prevent leaking.
The main highlight of these pods is the dual mesh coil. This is two single mesh coils stacked above one another, which OXVA says delivers 200% more flavor and a 200% longer lifespan than their previous pods
These NeXLIM cartridges also have a larger 4ml capacity and come in three resistances: 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, and 1.2Ω. These pods are physically larger than the XLIM pods, so they cannot be used with older XLIM devices.
However, using an adapter, XLIM top fill pods can be used with the NeXLIM. This adapter is sold separately. This opens up the possibility of using the 0.4Ω XLIM pod, but you’ll be sacrificing 2ml in pod capacity if you do so.
Aside from the increased capacity, the NeXLIM cartridges look similar to the XLIM pods. They have a slight tint, are filled from the side, and sit in the NeXLIM in a way that leaves all the pod contents visible without needing to be removed from the device.
The fill port on the NeXLIM is accessible with the pod inserted, so it can be filled without removing the pod. The silicone bung sits on the pod’s side, plugging a rather large fill port. The bung does a good job of sealing the fill port, and I haven’t had any leaks, either from the fill port or the pod, in the few weeks I’ve been using the NeXLIM.
Features
OXVA has always been known for simple yet beginner-friendly devices. That’s still the case with the NeXLIM, but it has more features than previous XLIM pod vapes. The key here is that the NeXLIM is controlled entirely by a single button. The functions are as follows:
- 1 Click: Wake screen.
- 2 Clicks: Change modes between BOOST/ECO.
- 3 Clicks: Adjust wattage.
- 4 Clicks: Change between the three themes.
- 5 Clicks: Power on or off.
- 7 Clicks: Clear puffs.
- Long press button: Operating guide.
As you’ll see from the above, the power button is not used to fire the device, which is disappointing. When I first started using the NeXLIM, I found myself instinctively pressing the button to draw, but I wised up after a few days of using it.
Power output is good for a compact and slim pod vape. The NeXLIM can output 40W, which is 10W higher than the XLIM Pro 2. The wattage is changed by pressing the power button three times and then clicking or holding the power button to adjust the wattage.
Modes
There are two modes on the NeXLIM: Boost and ECO. Each mode restricts the wattage to a different range for the pod resistance and uses the dual mesh coils differently. The mode is changed by pressing the power button twice.
Boost mode: The pod can be used at the full recommended wattage range. This mode uses the dual mesh coils simultaneously for the most flavor and vapor.
- Wattage range in Boost mode 0.6Ω: 10-40W
- Wattage range in Boost mode 0.8Ω: 10-32W
ECO mode: The pod is restricted to a lower wattage range to preserve battery life. This mode alternates the use of the dual mesh coils for lower power consumption and maximum efficiency.
- Wattage range in ECO mode 0.6Ω: 5-25W
- Wattage range in ECO mode 0.8Ω: 5-18W
Display & Themes
- Cyberpunk Theme
- Robot Theme
- Classic Theme
The 0.85” screen is a nice size for a slim pod vape, and it’s a direct upgrade over the 0.56” display on the XLIM Pro 2. It’s full-color and in high-definition, and the curve makes it look more high-end.
The information displayed on the screen depends entirely on which of the three themes you use: Classic, Robot, or Cyberpunk. The theme is changed by pressing the power button four times.
Classic: This theme is green and displays your mode, wattage output, battery life, puff count, and pod resistance. Battery life is displayed as 10 notches, with no exact battery percentage. The screen is turned off while vaping and this mode does not play any screen animations. The LED under the display lights up green, blue, or red according to the battery charge.
Robot: This theme is simple and fun. It displays a robot character face that animates when you puff. This mode displays your output wattage and a fire icon when in Boost mode. The LED under the display lights up green, blue, or red according to the battery charge.
Cyberpunk: This theme is blue and displays your mode, wattage output, battery life, puff count, and pod resistance. Battery life is displayed as a percentage. The screen plays an animation when you vape. The LED under the display lights up multicolor when you vape, and does not correspond to the battery charge.
Airflow Adjustment
The airflow adjustment slider on the NeXLIM is one large airflow slot that can be closed down by moving the slider upwards. With the slider open, you can achieve a nice RDL draw with both pods. By closing the slider, you can achieve a progressively tighter MTL draw.
The draw only gets down to a medium-MTL draw and not a tight MTL draw like some vapers, including myself, might desire. There’s some whistling with the airflow closed nearly all the way.
Generally, the 0.6Ω pod is better for RDL vaping and freebase ejuices, while the 0.8Ω pod is better for MTL vaping and nicotine salts. This isn’t the only way to use them, but this was my experience of how they performed at their best.
Battery Life & Charging
The NeXLIM gets a nice upgrade in battery capacity from the XLIM Pro 2 with a 1500mAh battery versus the 1300mAh battery of its predecessor. The larger battery is much needed with the power demands of the dual mesh NeXLIM pods, the 4ml capacity, and the higher maximum wattage output of the NeXLIM.
I’ve been getting excellent battery life from the device. Each charge lasts for nearly two complete pods of ejuice, so somewhere around 8ml per charge. That’s more than enough to get through a day with, so I can’t complain about battery life like this.
With 2A charging, the NeXLIM only takes 40 minutes to charge, which is impressive. Most other devices with a similar battery capacity take upwards of an hour. This makes the NeXLIM one of the fastest charging devices that I’ve used recently. It also has pass-thru charging so it can be used while it charges.
Performance
The NeXLIM isn’t just a slightly improved Xlim Pro 2. Since it uses all-new NeXLIM pods, which use OXVA’s UniTech 2.0 dual mesh coils, the experience is bound to be different – and it is. I found these pods to be a little more flavorful than the Xlim pods, and their longevity is just as good. Considering that the Xlim pods were already good, the NeXLIM is a real winner.
The 0.6Ω pod is the choice for RDL vaping. I used this pod with a 70VG, 6mg freebase ejuice, and the flavor is impressive. Around 35W seems to be the sweet spot for this pod with the ejuice that I used. A MTL draw is possible by closing the airflow, but this pod works best for RDL.
The 0.8Ω pod is as good of a MTL experience as I’ve had with any of OXVA’s other pod vapes. I used a 50/50 nicotine salt ejuice with this pod and flavor production is excellent. Admittedly, I would have liked the draw to be a little more restricted, but the medium MTL that it provides is nice enough.
Having gone through 5 refills with the 0.8Ω pod, I can confidently say that these pods last. There’s no change in the flavor or wicking, and I have not had any leaking either.
OXVA NeXLIM vs XLIM Pro 2
Compared to the XLIM Pro 2, the NeXLIM has been upgraded in about every way that you can think of. To make the differences more easily understandable and comparable, we’ve created this easy reference chart below.
