The bottom line
The XLIM GO isn’t as adjustable as the XLIM PRO. It’s also not as feature-rich as the voice controlled XLIM SE 2 Voice Edition. But it’s definitely more beginner-friendly than either of those devices, even if only slightly. You don’t have to worry about much to get a good experience from the XLIM GO; fill the pod, pop it in, and adjust the airflow to your liking.
The main downside to the XLIM GO is that it only comes with one pod. It would have been better if it came with the 0.6Ω pod as well for RDL vapers to use, or even the 0.4Ω pod. Aside from this though, the XLIM GO is a really solid choice for a simple, beginner vape.
The XLIM GO doesn’t break any new ground in terms of the specs or features, but the average specs make for an extraordinarily easy to use vape that is flavorful and which brings many good pod options.

The XLIM GO is the latest pod system by OXVA. It joins a host of other XLIM series devices by the company, such as the XLIM SE 2 Voice, XLIM SQ PRO, and XLIM PRO, all of which are positioned as simple and beginner-friendly, pod vapes.
Compared to OXVA’s other most recent releases, the XLIM GO doesn’t have a screen or adjustable wattage, but it does have adjustable airflow, a large 1000mAh battery, and an auto-adjusting 30W maximum output. This makes the XLIM GO easier to use than its predecessors while still offering a comparable vaping experience.
In this review, I’ll break down the specs and features of the XLIM GO. I’ll also go over the design, flavor, and how it performs.
- 1 x XLIM GO Device
- 1 x Top Fill Cartridge 0.8Ω
- 1 x User Manual
- Size: 113.7mm x 26mm x 14.6mm
- Pod Capacity: 2ml
- Button & Draw activated
- RDL to MTL draw
- Battery Size: 1000mAh
- Output Wattage: 5-30W (non-adjustable)
- Adjustable Airflow Slider
- Charging: 1A Type-C
Design & Build Quality
Having used some of OXVA’s other XLIM devices in the past, the XLIM GO feels super familiar. At 113.7mm tall, 26mm wide, and 14.6mm deep, it’s very similar in size to other XLIM devices like the XLIM SE 2 Voice, XLIM CRC, XLIM PRO, and XLIM V2. It’s a great size for a pod vape and very light as well.
The tall and slim shape (or shall I say, XLIM shape) is just like the XLIM SE 2, with rounded corners and sides that make it comfortable and nice to hold.
The XLIM GO comes in 8 colors, all of which are finished in what OXVA calls “skin-pasting tech”. It’s a weird (and a bit creepy) name but it’s basically a semi-squishy, rubbery layer that feels a bit different than traditional soft-touch coatings. It also seems to be a bit thicker.
Creepy name aside though, it feels really great and adds a lot of grip to the XLIM GO. There’s a diamond pattern debossed into the rubber too so it looks finished and high quality.
Separating the front, back, and top of the XLIM GO is a satin silver band that houses the airflow adjustment slider on one side, and the Type-C charging port on the other.
The airflow slider is just like the ones on OXVA’s other XLIM pod vapes and it consists of a small, round silver knob and three airflow slots. The slider is not too loose or too tight and it’s easy to adjust.
On the bottom of the XLIM GO there is a rubber pad with some regulatory symbols, as well as the battery capacity (1000mAh) listed.
Pods
The XLIM GO only comes with one pod, a 0.8Ω Top Fill Cartridge. But there are three other pod resistances available which are 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, and 1.2Ω. The XLIM GO is compatible with all of OXVA’s XLIM pods (Top Fill Cartridges, XLIM V2 Cartridges, prefilled cartridges), but not with the XLIM C pod which uses replaceable coils.
The pods that are compatible with the XLIM GO all come with the coil built into the pod and it cannot be removed or replaced. This is good news if you don’t like fiddling around with coils, or if you’re new to vaping and want an experience that is as simple as can be. Once you’re done with the pod, you just throw it away and replace it with a new one.
The 0.8Ω pod that comes with the XLIM GO can be used with either freebase nicotine ejuices or nicotine salt ejuices, however OXVA recommends nic salts. It’s also recommended as being for MTL vaping on OXVA’s website.
If you’re more into RDL vaping and/or freebase nicotine ejuices, the 0.4Ω or 0.6Ω pods are better suited for these purposes and can be purchased separately.
The pods have a dark tint and so it’s not the easiest to see into the pod to check on my ejuice. I have to hold it up to the light in order to see into it. Filling is straightforward and can be done without removing the pod from the device. The fill port is located on the side of the pod and all you have to do is remove the rubber stopper, fill it up, and replace the stopper.
Features
If you’re hoping for a feature-rich and ultra customizable pod vape then you won’t get that from the XLIM GO. If, however, you’re after a simple pod vape with good pod options and airflow control, then the XLIM GO fits the bill.
OXVA already has a few devices that allow you to manually adjust the wattage and the XLIM GO does not. But even though you can’t set the wattage yourself, the XLIM GO automatically adjusts the wattage to the right output for the pod that you’re using. This takes away the guesswork of wondering if you’re using the correct wattage and that’s especially helpful and convenient for beginners. The XLIM GO will output anywhere from 5-30W depending on which pod you use.
Battery Life & Charging
The XLIM GO has a pretty standard 1000mAh battery which recharges with 1A type-c charging. 1000mAh is about the average for a pod vape these days so it’s neither a small nor a large capacity battery. Consequently, battery life is also average and when using the included 0.8Ω pod I consistently reached two days of vaping per charge – about two pods of ejuice.
The OXVA ‘X’ logo on the front of the XLIM GO lights up every time that you vape and it lights up in one of three colors, depending on your battery level:
- Green: 60-100%
- Blue: 20-60%
- Red: 0-20%
Using a wall charger and a standard type-c cable, the XLIM GO recharges in an hour. The LED indicator will change through the colors, from red to green, as it charges up and will turn off completely when completed. The XLIM GO supports pass-through charging so you can still vape while it charges.
Performance
The XLIM GO only comes with one pod, the 0.8Ω pod, so that’s what I’ll be going over in this section. However, if you’re interested to know how the 0.6Ω pod performs, we’ve gone over that in a few other reviews on OXVA’s other XLIM devices like the XLIM SE 2, XLIM SQ PRO, and XLIM PRO.
OXVA recommends using the 0.8Ω pod with nicotine salt ejuices and for MTL vaping. I used a 25mg/ml nicotine salt ejuice during my time with the XLIM GO. This was a 50/50 PG and VG ejuice.
First and foremost, the XLIM GO did not leak even one bit while I used it. OXVA’s Top Fill pods seem pretty good in this department because I didn’t have any leaking with the XLIM SQ PRO either when I reviewed it.
The 0.8Ω pod and the XLIM GO performed nearly identically to what I remember from the XLIM SQ PRO. Great flavor and an excellent range of airflow for a fine tuned mouth to lung draw. You can even get a RDL draw by keeping your lips loose while you draw but that isn’t the best way to use this pod. Anywhere from a normal mouth to lung draw to a tight MTL vape is possible just by changing the airflow.
The strength of the draw is strong but smooth with the 0.8Ω pod. I don’t know the exact wattage that it fires at but it feels right for the pod.
Verdict
The XLIM GO isn’t as adjustable as the XLIM PRO. It’s also not as feature-rich as the voice controlled XLIM SE 2 Voice Edition. But it’s definitely more beginner-friendly than either of those devices, even if only slightly. You don’t have to worry about much to get a good experience from the XLIM GO; fill the pod, pop it in, and adjust the airflow to your liking.
