The bottom line

PIXI Pro disposables are yet another great brand that you should think of adding to your collection. They’re not for everyone though and I only recommend them to vapers who currently vape on 50mg/ml disposables.

Even then, I suggest taking it easy and not vaping too much on them until you get used to the strength. They’re smooth and the nicotine will hit you like a ton of bricks if you aren’t exercising caution.

I enjoyed all of the five flavors that I tried and wouldn’t change much about them. Blue Razz Grape Ice might be better with a reduction in the grape and a boost to the blue razz but that’s about it. Papaya Guava Moon is so good that it’s going to be vaped to empty (it’s nearly there), that much I can guarantee!

Overall, the PIXI Pro is a great disposable for high-strength nicotine vapers and I can easily give them my recommendation.

The PIXI Pro is a disposable vape that offers a bit more nicotine satisfaction than your typical 5% disposables. It’s the first disposable that I’ve reviewed that comes filled with 6% (60mg/ml) nicotine salt ejuice, making it one of the highest nicotine strength disposables out there.

Like other disposable vapes, the PIXI Pro requires no maintenance or refilling. It comes filled with 14ml of ejuice and it’s draw-activated for easy use. Each one offers 8000 puffs per disposable thanks to the rechargeable 550mAh battery. The PIXI Pro recharges with Type-C charging.

In addition to the high nicotine content, some other noteworthy features include an ejuice and battery level display indicator, as well as a ceramic mesh coil that vaporizes the ejuice inside.

User reviews of the PIXI Pro have been overwhelmingly favorable, but does the PIXI Pro hold up during rigorous testing? You’ll find out everything that you need to know in this review.

Design & Build Quality

  • PIXI Pro Disposables - 2

PIXI Pro disposables are entirely made of plastic. They don’t feel cheap though because the body is solid and does not have any flex whatsoever. It’s a simple design that looks good and it’s comfortable to hold too.

Another factor that brings up the quality is the soft-touch panel that wraps around nearly the entire device. It has a two-tone gradient that matches with the color of the case and it adds a nice look to the PIXI Pro. It feels great and gives the PIXI Pro a bit of grip too.

Each flavor comes in a different color. All of the options are bright and vibrant so you’ll have a hard time flying under the radar when you’re vaping with one of these. But regardless of the attention-grabbing factor, the colors are attractive and give the PIXI Pro a fun look that complements the simple design.

In addition to the different colors, the flavor of each device is clearly printed on the plastic bezel so it’s easy to know which flavor you’re picking up.

  • PIXI Pro Disposables - 11

In terms of size, the PIXI Pro is tall and rather fat but it feels smaller in the hand than it really is. The rounded, pen-style shape is very comfortable to hold, so the large size doesn’t feel like a big deal. If you’re looking for exact measurements, the PIXI Pro is 99mm tall, 33mm wide, and 26mm thick.

Portability is good but not great. If you’re a vaper who uses one disposable vape at a time, then the PIXI Pro will be perfectly fine and portable. It’s easy enough to put one of these in your pocket or purse and forget that it’s there.

However, if you like to use multiple vapes at a time then you’ll have a problem. These weigh around 67g each so you can feel the weight in your pocket if you carry more than one at a time. Plus, they take up a decent amount of space in your bag or purse. At the most I would carry two of these out of the house; you’ll be encumbered by carrying any more than that.

The mouthpiece is built into the top of the plastic case and it’s made of the same plastic as the rest of the device. It’s sloped and of a medium-size so it’s comfortable to vape on. The mouthpiece hole is a bit large though, so beware of lint and dust getting trapped inside of it.

Features

PIXI Pro Disposables - 14

The main feature that makes the PIXI Pro different from other disposables is the nicotine content. It’s one of the highest nicotine strength disposables that I’ve seen, containing 60mg/ml nicotine salt ejuice.

You might expect that it would be harsh or hit a lot stronger than 50mg/ml disposables, however I didn’t find that to be the case. It’s still smooth and pleasant, but you can tell that it’s a little stronger than a 50mg/ml disposable.

Another factor that adds to the smoothness is the ceramic mesh coil that these contain. It definitely makes the draw smoother and more flavorful and I think that it’s also the reason why the 60mg/ml strength doesn’t vape too harshly.

Each PIXI Pro is filled with 14ml of ejuice from the factory and comes with a 550mAh rechargeable battery which charges with Type-C charging (the charging port is on the bottom of the device). You can get up to 8000 puffs per device, which is good and reasonable for the size.

PIXI Pro Disposables - 13

Like many new disposables that are coming out these days, the PIXI Pro has a battery and ejuice level indicator. The one here is a little different than others though.

Instead of LED lights that change color to indicate the level, there’s a small display that shows your battery life in 5% increments (95%, 90%, 85%, etc) and a small droplet icon. This droplet has four sections in it which disappear as the ejuice is used up.

The display looks cool, I’ll give it that, and the battery life indicator is really useful. The ejuice indicator on the other hand is less informative than a percentage based indicator or a color based indicator, because it’s not clear what your actual level is from the sections in the droplet.

It’s better than no ejuice indicator though, because at least it gives you an idea of how quickly the ejuice is being used up. When the droplet is nearly empty, you’ll know that it’s time to get a new disposable.

Like pretty much every other disposable vape, the PIXI Pro is draw-activated. There are no buttons at all. To vape, inhale on the mouthpiece. It’s very simple to use and basically as easy as it gets to vape.

Flavors

PIXI Pro Disposables - 7

There are 11 flavors available for the PIXI Pro. That’s not nearly as much choice in flavor as I’m used to, with most brands offering at least 15 flavors. The options are basically limited to fruit flavors, with a Clear and Cool Mint option as well. There are no candy flavors, no dessert flavors, and no tobacco flavors.

If you like fruit flavors then you will probably find something that you like. But if you’re into trying new and interesting flavor mixes, you won’t find that here (other than maybe Matcha Berry Ice). The available flavors are:

  • Cool Mint
  • Blue Razz Grape Ice
  • Blueberry Melon
  • Clear
  • Lush Lemonade
  • Matcha Berry Ice
  • OG Banana Ice
  • Orange Mango Melon
  • Papaya Guava Moon
  • Passion Fruit Honey
  • Watermelon Mint

I’m going to describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

OG Banana Ice

If you like banana flavors but not ones that taste like candy, this flavor will be what you’re looking for. There’s a healthy blast of ice which complements the natural and authentic banana flavor. It’s just as sweet as an actual banana would be, without any sugary taste or candy flavor added in.

Watermelon Mint

Strong, juicy watermelon comes through immediately on the inhale, followed closely by a sharp mint that lingers through to the exhale. I like how the watermelon tastes here and overall I think that this is a tasty flavor for mint vapers. It’s subtle sweetness at its finest with a mint twist to seal the deal.

Blue Razz Grape Ice

While I like this flavor, the blue razz part of the flavor is really overpowered by grape. It’s hard to taste the blue razz unless you really focus because the grape flavor is so strong and powerful. The ice is at a medium level and I only taste it near the end of the exhale. Like I said, I like this flavor, but hardcore blue razz fans might wish that the grape was toned down.

Papaya Guava Moon

Papaya and guava are a fruit combo made in heaven and this PIXI Pro flavor takes me there. This is easily the most enjoyable flavor for me, bringing more sweetness and fruity flavor than the other options. The papaya and guava flavors are equally strong and potent, delivering a pleasant and tasty vape all throughout the inhale and exhale.

Matcha Berry Ice

If you’re unsure of what this flavor is, the best way that I can describe it is green tea with berry flavors. The green tea flavor is strongest and the subtle berry flavors add an extra dimension to the flavor profile. This and Papaya Guava Moon saw the heaviest usage during my time reviewing the PIXI Pro’s so this is a flavor that I can easily recommend that you try.

How do they vape?

PIXI Pro Disposables - 6

Because these are 6% nicotine strength, you’ll want to take it slow and not overdo the vaping. It’s easy to get carried away with a few big puffs because they hit so smoothly that you don’t initially notice the high nicotine content. But believe me, you’ll feel the effects of those large puffs nearly immediately and if you’re not used to high nicotine content vapes, you’ll regret it.

I found the PIXI Pro’s to be great for those times when I didn’t have a lot of time to vape; between meetings, quickly stepping out for a vape, or on quick work breaks. Because the nicotine content is so high, you don’t need to take as many puffs to feel satisfied as you would have to from a 50% device.

On the other hand, consistently vaping on these guys is just not something that I was able to do. They’re best as “here and there” vapes, not as all day devices. At least not for me.

The ceramic mesh coil is definitely a contributing factor to the smoothness of the vapor. It also delivers really good flavor that is immediately bold and tasty and which lasts throughout the inhale and exhale, with some flavors lingering after you’re done.

I personally like a tight mouth to lung draw and the PIXI Pro hits just right for a vaper like myself. It’s a tight draw that has you put some effort into it but it’s not like sucking through a blocked straw or anything. It’s just right for tight MTL vaping.

If you’re an average vaper who vapes a few hundred puffs a day then you’ll find yourself charging up about every other day. The 550mAh battery has some lasting power but if you’re a vaper who vapes heavily then I recommend charging each night so that you’re not stuck with a dead disposable midway through your day.

The battery level indicator comes in clutch for knowing where you’re at and it has been really useful for me during my testing. It has been accurate on all of my five devices and goes down in 5% increments, so you’ll know exactly where the battery level is sitting at all times.

The ejuice level indicator is a bit more mysterious but it’s better than nothing at all. When you notice the ejuice droplet icon is nearly empty, that’s when you should be looking for another vape.
