The bottom line
I really like the VINCI S, and if you’re a vaper looking for a simple MTL/RDL device with good battery life, I think that you’ll like it too. But you’ll want to pick up a pack of 0.6Ω pods if you really want to get the most out of this device.
With a higher-strength nicotine salt, the 0.8Ω pod might be okay, but for lower-strength nic salts (~20mg), the 0.6Ω pod is just better. It delivers better flavor, a better throat hit, and a more versatile draw from RDL to MTL. This pod single-handedly saves the VINCI S from mediocrity, and so I highly recommend picking some up if you’re thinking of getting this device.
Aside from that, the VINCI S could be improved further with faster charging. The 1A charging speed is disappointing to live with, especially since the battery lasts so well.
If you want a pod vape that is light, compact, and has a battery that lasts for days on a single charge, the VINCI S is a great pick. However, if you’re after a ton of user-adjustability and like the ability to manually set your wattage, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

Product Overview
The VINCI S is the latest pod vape in VOOPOO’s VINCI series of devices. Other recent VINCI series devices include the VINCI E120, VINCI Spark 220, and VINCI Spark100, to name a few. But while all of these devices were large and ultra-adjustable, the VINCI S takes a different approach.
It has a 2000mAh battery, but it’s surprisingly light and compact. It also features step-less airflow adjustment, but no other complicated or user-adjustable features. Instead, it automatically matches the power output for the pod that you’re using, outputting up to 40W of power.
The VINCI S comes with an all-new 0.8Ω VINCI S cartridge with a 4.5ml capacity. This pod uses VOOPOO’s latest ICOSM 2.0 tech, which VOOPOO says delivers a more consistent, longer-lasting experience.
Out of the box, this device can be used for MTL vaping with the included 0.8Ω pod, but there’s also a 0.6Ω pod available for RDL vapers. I’ve been using the VINCI S with both of these pods for nearly a month now, and I’m ready to give you the full, honest scoop on VOOPOO’s latest beginner-friendly pod vape.

Design & Build Quality
For having a 2000mAh built-in battery, the VINCI S is way lighter than you might think. It only weighs 69g with an empty pod, so it’s not a bother at all to carry around all day. It’s still a bit chunkier than your average MTL pod vape with its 106.2mm height, 30.2mm width, and 21.3mm depth, but it’s not large by any means.
The aluminum alloy body is a big part of why it’s so light. And aluminum alloy is strong too, so the VINCI S feels solid, with no flex in the body whatsoever. The satin/matte paint on my ‘Grey’ unit has held up admirably well and still looks brand new, resisting scratches and fingerprints alike.
There’s not a lot to see on this device, though; it’s very, very simple. There’s a textured portion on the front which contains a wide LED bar that lights up in multi-colors, and some minimal branding in the way of small VINCI and VOOPOO logos, but that’s it.
One side of the VINCI S has a step-less adjustable airflow slider, and the other has a Type-C charging port. As far as pod vapes go, the VINCI S has one of the most beginner-friendly designs you can find, albeit one that packs a massive battery.
Pods
The VINCI S is positioned as a device for both MTL and RDL, but out of the box, you’re really only going to be getting an MTL vape from it.
That’s because it only comes with one pod in a 0.8Ω resistance. Even with the airflow open, this pod delivers a loose mouth-to-lung draw. For RDL vaping, you’re going to want to pick up the 0.6Ω pod, which is sold separately. Luckily, I have one on hand for this review.
The 0.6Ω pod can go from RDL with the airflow open to MTL by closing the airflow down. It’s my favorite pod of the two, and I’ll go over why a bit later, but for now, I’ll just say: make sure you grab a pack of these pods.
Both pods are supported by VOOPOO’s ICOSM CODE 2.0 tech, which they claim guarantees 30 days of clean flavor, consistent smoothness, and a 100ml pod life. Those are some big claims to live up to, but VOOPOO has a track record of delivering.
These pods also have a huge 4.5ml capacity, and can be refilled without removing the pod from the device. The fill port is located just on the side of the pod, which is great, but it’s fiddly to remove. The rubber sits recessed into the side of the pod, and as a man who keeps his nails short, it can be frustrating to remove.
Equally difficult to remove is the pod itself. The magnets that hold it in the device are strong, maybe too strong. Pair this with the sloped, slippery design of the pod, and good luck getting it out. I’ve found it’s easiest if you grab the pod from the base at the sides, though.
It’s worth noting that, in addition to the two VINCI S cartridges, the VINCI S will work with pods for the VINCI E120, ARGUS E80, and ARGUS E40, but with a catch. I tried using the VINCI E120 pod with the 0.15Ω coil, and the VINCI S refused to fire. However, with the 0.3Ω coil, it vaped without a problem.
This means that while you can use the VINCI S with the E120 pod and choose from VOOPOO’s many PnP X coils, it won’t work with the lower-resistance ones. Since the 0.2Ω PnP X coil has a wattage rating of 40-60W, it probably won’t work with this one either; 0.3Ω and up.
Features
The VINCI S is far from the most adjustable or feature-rich pod vape on the market. As far as user-adjustable features go, it has only one: the airflow. The step-less airflow slider has two holes, one small and one large, which can be closed off completely or anywhere in between.
The wattage output goes up to 40W, but this is done automatically according to the pod that you’re using. The 0.6Ω pod fires at 18-23W, while the 0.8Ω pod fires from 12-16W.
If you’re a beginner vaper or just looking for a fill-and-go sort of device, this is great news. No settings to worry about, just pop in a pod and vape. On the other hand, if you like to play around with your wattage and dial in a draw that is just to your liking, the VINCI S does not offer that option.
The draw-activated firing is the only way to vape with the VINCI S, but luckily, the sensor works perfectly. I had no trouble getting it to activate, even with light draws when using the 0.6Ω pod with the airflow completely open.
Battery & Charging
A 2000mAh battery in a pod vape that only weighs 69g is amazing. The VINCI S doesn’t weigh you down in day-to-day errands, but it still lasts forever. Okay, not literally forever, but it does last a long time.
Using the 0.8Ω pod that comes with the kit, I easily vaped for two days before needing to charge it up. The 0.6Ω pod only allows the battery to last for a day, day and a half if I am lucky, but still reasonably good battery life from a lightweight pod vape.
Here’s the downside: it only supports 1A charging. A full charge takes an hour and ten minutes, which is about half an hour longer than it would take with 2A charging. Not the end of the world, but definitely a bit disappointing.
The LED bar on the front of the device lights up in multi-colors each time you take a draw, and afterwards, switches to a solid color to indicate the battery charge state. The colors and corresponding battery percentages are:
- Green: 100%-60%
- Blue: 60%-30%
- Red: 30%-0%
Performance
Remember earlier when I said that the 0.6Ω pod is my favorite of the two? That’s for a good reason—the 0.8Ω pod feels underpowered and underwhelming. Lucky for the VINCI S, the 0.6Ω pod is a bit of a ‘do all’ pod, usable for both MTL and DL, and for lower-strength nic salts or freebase e-juices. But it’s sold separately, which is one of my big gripes with the VINCI S. Why not include both pods?
Anyway, back to the 0.8Ω pod. Vaping with it feels like the battery is dying, even when it’s fresh off a charge. This is with a 20mg nicotine salt e-juice, which is admittedly on the lower end of nicotine strength for salts, but it’s a night-and-day difference when compared to the 0.6Ω pod.
The 0.6Ω pod with the same 20mg nicotine salt e-juice delivers a nice but not too strong draw and a great throat hit. The flavor is also better, and by a large margin. Honestly, putting these two pods side by side, it’s not even close.
Now, how about those claims that VOOPOO makes about these pods: 30 days of clean flavor, consistent smoothness, and a 100ml pod life.
At this point, I’m nearly a month into using these pods. I’ve used the 0.6Ω pod a lot more than the 0.8Ω one (see above for why), and only in the last few days have I noticed the flavor start to fade a little. For the majority of the last 30 days, it has been consistent and leak-free, so this pod gets a big thumbs up from me.
Verdict
I really like the VINCI S, and if you’re a vaper looking for a simple MTL/RDL device with good battery life, I think that you’ll like it too. But you’ll want to pick up a pack of 0.6Ω pods if you really want to get the most out of this device.
