The bottom line
Some will think that the starlight panel is silly, and I can’t fault them for that. But if you ask me, I think that it’s a great feature that looks really beautiful, especially now in the holiday season. If the lights really bother you, but you otherwise like the look and features of the VINCI Spark100, they can always be turned off so don’t let this prevent you from picking up the kit.
Light show aside, the VINCI Spark100 ticks all of the right boxes for a single battery mod kit. It’s small and compact enough to be carried around without weighing me down, it has ample power and airflow for direct-lung or restricted direct-lung vaping, and the flavor with the 0.3Ω coil is excellent.
The wide range of PnP X coils available for this kit make it an even more attractive buy. With three other coils to choose from, all with the same coil longevity and leak-resistance as the coils that the kit includes, you really can’t go wrong.
I’m just waiting to see if VOOPOO releases some different panels for the VINCI Spark100. Now that would be really cool!

The VINCI Spark100 is the first true vape mod in VOOPOO’s VINCI series. It’s a single 18650 battery mod that brings a bit more flair than your typical device with its unique ‘starlight panel’. This panel, located on the side of the device, lights up with three different LED animations, depending on how the device is being used.
If you’re not sold by the lighting, the VINCI Spark100 has some attractive specs worth taking into account. It has a full-metal body, made of aluminum-alloy. It also has a maximum wattage output of 100W, a 0.96” TFT screen, and three output modes (SMART, ECO, RBA).
At the time of writing this review, the Spark100 is only sold as a starter kit which includes the new UFORCE-X Nano Tank. This is a smaller and redesigned version of the UFORCE-X tank which comes with the DRAG 5. It has a 4.5ml ejuice capacity compared to the 5.5ml capacity of the UFORCE-X. It is also a top-airflow tank, which greatly reduces the chances of leaking. Like the UFORCE-X and UFORCE-L, the UFORCE-X Nano is compatible with all of VOOPOO’s PnP X coils.
VOOPOO has been absolutely killing it lately with their devices and it’s rare that they release a device that isn’t near the top, or at the absolute top, of its class. But does this hold true for the VINCI Spark100?

Design & Build Quality
Unlike VOOPOO’s other single battery mods like the M100S which has a rounded back, the VINCI Spark100 is the literal definition of a box mod. All six sides are flat for the most part, although there is slight beveling on the edges to keep it comfortable to hold. The corners are also rounded for this same reason.
It’s a boxy mod but the little bit of beveling and rounding helps to keep the look modern. It also feels great in the hand and the small size adds to this feeling. The VINCI Spark100 is extremely compact for a single battery mod with its height of 90mm, width of 33mm, and depth of 28mm. It’s also very light with a battery installed, weighing only 137g.
The all-metal, aluminum alloy body is rigid and well made. It’s finished with a mix of matte and glossy paint; matte for the large side panels and matte everywhere else, which looks great. The side panels feature a pattern of small triangles which is nicely understated and gives the device some grip.
The biggest design feature though is the aptly named ‘starlight panel’. This panel lights up with 144 LEDs when the screen is turned on, when vaping, or when charging. The lights are nicely spaced out and not overly bright or obnoxious. They can also be turned off completely. I’ll talk more about the starlight panel a little later in the “Features” section of this review.
This starlight panel is magnetic and can be removed, which opens up some interesting possibilities. For one, this means that you can swap the panel with another color. But perhaps VOOPOO has bigger plans – different sorts of panels with different lighting patterns maybe? We’ll have to wait and see.
The battery door panel, like the starlight panel, is also magnetic. Removing it reveals a compact battery compartment which is just big enough for a single 18650 battery. It’s a snug, but not too tight, fit and my battery fits in there without any trouble. There’s also a ribbon to make battery removal easy.
The front of the VINCI Spark100 has a large circular firing button which lights up with an LED ring. I really like this button as I think it makes the Spark100 look way more premium. Below the button is a 0.96” TFT display which shows remaining battery life with an icon and percentage, the output wattage, mode, lock status, coil resistance, a puff counter, and a puff timer. There’s a lot of information on the display but the UI is nice and it doesn’t look crammed.
Below the display are the adjustment buttons which unfortunately do not light up like the firing button. There’s also a physical locking switch which locks the entire device; something which I always appreciate having. Finally, there’s a Type-C charging/update port.
The top of the VINCI Spark100 has a centered 510 plate with a spring-loaded, gold pin. Atomizers up to 28mm can fit without overhang and the included UFORCE-X Nano tank sits just right atop the device.
Features & Functions: VINCI Spark100
The VINCI Spark100 is targeted at vapers looking for a compact, portable device that is still powerful and easy to use. This includes beginner vapers. With that said, it’s not hard to figure out how to use this device and it’s relatively straightforward to use all of the features that it offers.
The starlight display is the most obvious feature, as well as the biggest selling point, of the VINCI Spark100. The 144 LEDs are really crisp and don’t look cheap; the lighting actually seems very well made and thought out.
There are three different animations for the starlight display: when the screen is on, while vaping, and while charging:
- Screen on: The LEDs twinkle and dance, resembling a starry sky.
- During vaping: Shooting stars travel diagonally down and across the panel.
- While charging: Large, rhythmic arrows travel up the panel.
The VINCI Spark100 is a single 18650 battery mod so the maximum wattage output of 100W is pretty typical. It has three modes which are SMART, ECO, and RBA.
SMART mode identifies the best power output for the coil that you’re using and limits the wattage in order to prevent burning.
RBA unlocks this wattage limit and allows you to use any wattage that you like with your coils.
ECO apparently enters a power-saving mode to save battery life, but it doesn’t turn off the starry light panel or animations on the screen, which is odd. If you want to turn these off to save battery then you’ll have to do that manually in the menu options.
Changing the mode can be done after entering the main menu. This can be accessed by pressing the power button three times. In the menu, you’ll also find the option to change the theme of the UI (two options), turn the screen animation on or off (which displays either a spaceship or shooting stars when you vape depending on the theme), turn the starlight display on or off, or clear the puff counter.
The physical lock switch locks the entire device; the adjustment buttons and the firing button. There doesn’t appear to be a way to lock just the adjustment buttons.
UFORCE-X Nano Tank
The UFORCE-X Nano tank is a smaller and redesigned version of the UFORCE-X, which I reviewed with the VOOPOO DRAG 5.
It’s still a top airflow tank with two airflow slots; this hasn’t changed. But the UFORCE-X Nano is slightly smaller and has a slightly reduced ejuice capacity of 4.5ml (1ml smaller than the UFORCE-X).
The fill cap has also changed, with the UFORCE-X Nano featuring a twist-off top cap rather than a push-and-turn top cap.
The airflow slots feature markings from 1 to 3, which correspond to how restricted the airflow is. Wide open there are no markings visible. Slightly closing the airflow reveals the 3 marking, closing it more reveals the 2, and leaving it just slightly open reveals the 1. This allows for easier and more precise setting of your airflow, which is nice to have.
Included with the kit are a 0.60Ω PnP X coil and a 0.3Ω PnP X coil. These are the same coils used by the DRAG X2, DRAG S2, DRAG 5 kit, and Argus Pro 2 kit. These are also the same coils used by the UFORCE-X tank. The UFORCE-X Nano is compatible with all PnP X coils:
- 0.15Ω (60-80W)
- 0.20Ω (40-60W)
- 0.30Ω (32-40W)
- 0.45Ω (25-32W)
- 0.60Ω (18-23W)
- 0.80Ω (12-16W)
- 1.0Ω (10-13W)
This is a DL/RDL tank though so while it can be used with the 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω coils, VOOPOO does not recommend it.
These coils are rated by VOOPOO as being able to provide long-lasting coil life of up to 100ml of ejuice per coil. We’ve tested these claims in the reviews listed above and the coils held up pretty close to what they’re rated for (~80ml).
The base of the tank unscrews in order to insert or remove the coil. The base of the tank is also decently deep, allowing ejuice a place to collect if it leaks out of the coil. So far I haven’t found any ejuice in there but it’s a nice fail-safe to prevent leaking. The PnP-X coils push-fit into the tank and they sit nice and snug.
Performance
The VINCI Spark100 and UFORCE-X Nano tank are a great combo for DL/RDL vaping. The 0.30Ω coil excels at both restricted direct lung and direct lung vaping.
I wanted to like the 0.60Ω coil for RDL but the maximum wattage of 23W results in very cool vapor.
It isn’t as satisfying as the warm, full draw that I get from the 0.30Ω coil and so I didn’t use this coil as often.
The cool vapor from the 0.6Ω coil is even more apparent with the airflow open too, so direct lung vaping with this coil was out of the question for me.
The 0.3Ω coil wins when it comes to flavor too. The flavor is much more intense and full. The 0.6Ω coil just feels muted in comparison.
This 0.6Ω coil is the first PnP X coil that I’ve tried that I don’t like, which is a shocker. I think that it comes down to this being a direct lung tank though. With less airflow it might change the performance of the coil but I don’t love it with the UFORCE-X Nano.
Thankfully, the 0.3Ω coil saves this whole kit. Like I said, it’s good for both RDL and DL and the flavor is strong and intense. Using a 70% VG ejuice, I got the best results from this coil at 35-40W.
Neither of these coils leaked during my time with them. They also haven’t shown any signs of worsening flavor or performance but I didn’t use the 0.6Ω coil nearly as much as the 0.3Ω coil. I’ve gone through 9 refills with the 0.3Ω coil (~40ml of ejuice) and it’s still working perfectly. Based on our previous tests with these PnP X coils, it still has much more life to go too.
Verdict
Some will think that the starlight panel is silly, and I can’t fault them for that. But if you ask me, I think that it’s a great feature that looks really beautiful, especially now in the holiday season. If the lights really bother you, but you otherwise like the look and features of the VINCI Spark100, they can always be turned off so don’t let this prevent you from picking up the kit.
