The bottom line

VOOPOO has always made great mods, and the VINCI Spark220 is another notch on their belt. The starlight panel is something that I really like, but if you hate it, don’t let that stop you from getting this mod because it can be turned off completely. And the starlight panel is definitely not the only reason to consider the VINCI Spark220.

The lightweight design is awesome, and the rounded sides and edges make it look high-end and feel comfortable. It’s a great looking mod and the performance is equally as impressive.

While I like the click wheel controls, it doesn’t always work as it’s supposed to, which can be frustrating at times. However, I wouldn’t let this minor issue stop you from getting what is in all other ways a great dual battery mod.

For those of you who are considering the kit, the UFORCE-X and PnP X coils are excellent and provide a vaping experience that is as good as it gets in 2025. Flavor, coil life, and a good RDL/DL draw are all highlights of this tank, and I’m certain you won’t be disappointed with the performance.

Recently, I reviewed the VINCI Spark100, the first vape mod in VOOPOO’s VINCI series of devices. Now, just a few months later, I’m back with the dual battery version of the Spark100, the VINCI Spark220.

Like its little brother, the VINCI Spark 100, the VINCI Spark220 has a ‘starlight panel’ that lights up with four different LED animations, depending on how the device is being used. But cool lighting isn’t the only reason to check out the VINCI Spark220. It’s also extremely light, with a full aluminum alloy body that only weighs 108g. This places it amongst the lightest dual-battery vape mods on the market.

The VINCI Spark220 can fire at up to 220W and features a multifunctional click wheel, a 1.47” TFT screen, multiple different modes, and three different themes.

The kit includes the UFORCE-X subohm tank, which has a 5.5ml ejuice capacity and is compatible with all of VOOPOO’s PnP X coils. This top airflow tank features fully adjustable airflow and a push-to-slide top cap.

  • 1 x VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 Device

Design & Build Quality

  • VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 - 1

The VINCI Spark220 is a dual battery box mod, but with all the rounding on the sides and corners, it might qualify as the world’s first oval mod! Just kidding, but it’s a very rounded device. There’s also slight beveling on the front and back of the mod to make it even more comfortable to hold.

The shape and design of this mod is unique and makes it look ultra-modern. I can’t remember another mod with this type of shape, and after holding it, I can’t imagine why. It’s functional and beautiful, bringing the best of both worlds in looks and comfort.

It’s also extremely light for a dual battery mod. Most other dual battery mods (without batteries installed) weigh between 150-200g, but the VINCI Spark220 weighs only 110g, making this one of the lightest dual battery mods available. I can easily notice the weight (or lack thereof) when I pick it up.

With a height of 95mm, a width of 44mm, and a depth of 29mm, it’s an excellent size for a dual battery mod. It’s not ultra-compact, but it’s certainly no giant.

The all-aluminum alloy body looks and feels excellent. It’s strong and rigid, with no flex when tightly gripped.

The mix of paint finishes on the device is also rather neat. The back of the device is matte, with glossy trails that resemble the tails of shooting stars. This is the battery panel, which is magnetically attached.

Removing it reveals a compact battery compartment which is just big enough for two 18650 batteries. It’s a snug, but not too tight, fit and my batteries fit in there without any trouble. There’s also a ribbon to make battery removal easy.

VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 - 14

The front features a brushed aluminum finish and a small glossy panel with a diamond pattern (this is where the starlight LEDs are located). The rest of the device has a satin finish.

I loved the starlight panel on the VINCI Spark100 and the VINCI Spark220 features something similar, only it’s on a smaller area of the device and doesn’t feature as many LEDs.

The starlight panel here on the VINCI Spark220 has 84 LED lights compared to the 144 LEDs on the VINCI Spark100. These LEDs light up and twinkle, and also animate depending on how you’re using the device.

The LEDs look crisp and they’re quite bright, but not too bright to the point where they’re obnoxious. If the lighting isn’t to your liking, it can be turned off entirely in the settings menu, but I’ll get more into the lighting in the ‘Features’ section of this review.

Above the starlight panel is the screen. It’s 1.44 inches and it’s a high-resolution, full-color TFT display.

VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 - 20

Vaping and adjusting the wattage is done with the multifunctional click wheel on the side of the VINCI Spark220. Rotate it to adjust, and click it in to select or fire. It features knurling, which makes it easier to turn, and it makes a satisfying click when rotated.

Unfortunately, it’s not perfect, and sometimes it doesn’t make a click or give the same resistance when turned. This results in accidental extra turns, making me overshoot the menu option that I wanted to select or set the wattage higher than I wanted.

This issue happens most often when switching directions with the click wheel, but it still happens when rotating in only a single direction.

Despite the issue, I like the click wheel because it’s simple and intuitive to use.

On the other side of the VINCI Spark220 is the Type-C charging port and a physical locking switch. This switch can be slid down to lock or up to unlock. The function can be changed in the settings menu, allowing it to lock all buttons or only the wattage adjustment.

The top of the VINCI Spark220 has a centered 510 plate with a spring-loaded gold pin. Because of the beveling, atomizers larger than 23mm will overhang a little, including the UFORCE-X tank that comes with the kit. It’s not very noticeable, but you might be bothered if you like to have a completely flush look.

Features & Functions: VINCI Spark220

VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 - 19

The VINCI Spark220 has many features that make it a great mod, but before I get to that, I should go over the boring, standard specs that you might be wondering about.

The VINCI Spark220 can fire at up to 220W, and if you haven’t noticed by now, it takes dual 18650 batteries.

The starlight display is similar, but not the same, as the one on the VINCI Spark100. Instead of 144 LEDs, there are 84, and instead of taking up the entire panel, it only takes up the bottom half of the panel on the VINCI Spark220.

The LEDs are crisp and don’t look cheap at all. They light up when the firing button is pressed and also light up in four different animations: when the screen is on, while vaping in SMART mode, while vaping in RBA & TC mode, and while charging.

  • Screen on: The LEDs twinkle and dance, resembling a starry sky.
  • During vaping (SMART): Shooting stars travel diagonally down and across the panel.
  • During vaping (RBA & TC): Multiple shooting stars travel diagonally down and across the panel.
  • While charging: Large, rhythmic arrows travel up the panel.

As mentioned above, the VINCI Spark220 has three modes: SMART, RBA, and TC.

SMART mode identifies the best power output for the coil that you’re using and limits the wattage in order to prevent burning.

RBA unlocks this wattage limit and allows you to use any wattage that you like with your coils.

TC mode supports four TC materials: NI200, TI, SS-316, and SS-430. While the mode is called “TC-TCR”, there doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust the TCR value. I looked in the manual and played around with the device myself, but to no avail. If you ask me, it’s a bit misleading to call it TCR when you can’t adjust the TCR value.

Pressing the click wheel three times will open up the menu. Here, you’ll find options for changing the mode, changing the theme (three options), changing the function of the lock switch, turning the screen animations on or off, turning the starlight panel on or off, clearing the puffs, a battery evaluator, and device info.

All three themes are very nice, but I prefer using themes one or three. They’re the cleanest and I think that they look the best, but take a look through them to find the one you like most.

The battery evaluator is neat and simply checks the health of your batteries, but only when using the 0.15Ω coil. I’m not sure how it works or even if it’s accurate, but I got green check marks for my batteries, at least.

UFORCE-X Tank

  • VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 - 12

The UFORCE-X is VOOPOO’s flagship tank and it takes their latest series of coils, their PnP X coils. It’s a top airflow tank, which reduces the chances of leaking, and there are two large and fully adjustable airflow slots.

An important note is that the UFORCE-X is compatible with only PnP X Coils and will not work with PnP coils.

The VINCI Spark220 kit includes two coils: a PnP X 0.15Ω coil and a PnP X 0.3Ω coil. These are the same coils that come with the DRAG X2, DRAG S2, DRAG 5 kit and Argus Pro 2 kit. In total, there are seven PnP X coils available:

  • 0.15Ω (60-80W)
  • 0.20Ω (40-60W)
  • 0.30Ω (32-40W)
  • 0.45Ω (25-32W)
  • 0.60Ω (18-23W)
  • 0.80Ω (12-16W)
  • 1.0Ω (10-13W)

Since this is a DL/RDL tank, VOOPOO recommends using the 0.15Ω, 0.20Ω, and 0.30Ω coils with the UFORCE-X.

VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 - 18

Something special about these coils is how long they last. They’re rated for 100ml of ejuice per coil, and we’ve tested these claims out in the reviews listed above. They’ve lasted for nearly as long as they are rated for, which means plenty of vaping out of just a single coil.

The UFORCE-X has a 5.5ml tank capacity out of the box, but the spare bubble glass is 6.5ml so I suggest switching it on.

The top cap has an arrow that indicates where to push it back to reveal the fill port. The fill port is lined with silicone and has a hole with a self-closing slit to prevent leaking. If you break the bubble glass, the kit includes a spare.

Installing coils is straightforward. The base of the tank unscrews, and you simply push-fit a coil into the tank. I like how deep the base of the tank is because it leaves a place for ejuice to collect if any happens to leak out of the coil. In my time with the UFORCE-X, I haven’t had any leaking, but it’s nice that it’s there, just in case.

Performance

VOOPOO VINCI Spark220 - 10

I’ve used the UFORCE-X and these same PnP X coils before, so I’m very familiar with their performance. Spoiler alert: this is one of the best and most flavorful sub-ohm tanks for RDL and DL vaping.

The main difference between the 0.15Ω and 0.30Ω coils is the style of vaping that they’re better for. While both coils can be used for restricted direct lung or direct lung vaping, the 0.3Ω coil provides a slightly tighter draw that feels like a better RDL vape, while the 0.15Ω coil is looser and works better for DL vaping.

Both coils are great for flavor, so you really can’t go wrong with either, but the 0.15Ω coil is the one that I like best. The higher wattage requirements and airy draw are just what I look for from a mod kit, and at 75-80W the vape is heavenly.

The VINCI Spark220 mod does a great job making the most out of the UFORCE-X tank. It has been solid and dependable the whole time and fires pretty well instantly.

I’ve put more than 50ml of ejuice through each coil during my testing of the VINCI Spark220, and there hasn’t been any flavor drop or other performance change. I haven’t had any leaking either, so the UFORCE-X is solid in that regard too.

Verdict
