Wotofo Mega Disposable Review: A “True” Disposable Vape

Yes, you read that right, another Wotofo disposable device. They have been focusing on the disposable device market lately and this is the fourth device we have been sent to review in the past few months. The three others we have reviewed are: the Wafer, Mini+ and the Airy. 

The Wotofo Mega is their flagship disposable. It is about the size of a standard highlighter and contains 5ml of ejuice. You can count on getting around 1500 puffs out of each one. There are a whopping 13 different flavor options and two different nicotine strengths – 20mg or 50mg.

It’s a super simple device, there is no adjustable airflow, nor is the device rechargeable. It packs a 980mAh battery which should last you more than long enough to reach the max puff count. When the battery dies you just dispose of it in an electronics waste bin. I don’t think it gets more simple than that.

Design & Build Quality

The Wotofo Mega is a nice sized disposable. It’s a little wider, but shorter than your standard highlighter. This device has a height of 105mm and a diameter of 20mm, making the device super portable.

At the top of the device you will find a small bore plastic mouthpiece. I did not find any wiggle with the mouthpiece. I tried to pull on it and move it around and that thing is on there securely. 

Just below the mouthpiece, where it connects to the body of the disposable, there is a honeycomb texture. This adds a little bit of design to the Wotofo Mega because there isn’t a whole lot going on. The body of the Wotofo Mega is all black and has a soft touch matte finish. The body also has the Wotofo brand name and the device name, as well as the flavor at the bottom. The soft touch finish gives the device a little bit of grip. 

At the base of the Wotofo Mega is a clear piece of plastic. It is the same color as the writing on the device and it lights up when you inhale. The LED light shines fairly bright and illuminates the clear plastic nicely. Directly at the bottom is a very small airflow hole. 

The Wotofo Mega’s soft matte finish throughout the body makes it very nice to hold. It also gives a little bit of grip. This device is small enough to fit in a pocket or small purse without taking up too much room. I found the mouthpiece to be very nice as well and had no issue with it wiggling or rattling. 

The device comes with a 980mAh battery which should be more than large enough to reach the advertised 1500 puff count before it dies. The battery that comes with the Wotofo Mega is not rechargeable.

The Wotofo Mega comes prefilled with 5ml of ejuice. This is a  little above average but lately companies have been increasing the amount of ejuice in disposable devices. I have seen some with as much as 15ml. However, without a rechargeable battery, I don’t think that so much ejuice is needed for this specific device. You can purchase the Wotofo Mega in two different nicotine strengths – 20mg or 50mg of nicotine salt. This is nice as all vapers have different needs and this caters to a wider audience. 

The Wotofo Mega is made of SS304 (stainless steel 304) and Food Grade PC (plastic). All of the Mega devices come in all black and feature one of five colors. The colors are used for the writing of the brand name and device name as well as an icon of a chemical compound on the device. The same color is used for the LED light indicator cover. At the bottom of the device you will find the flavor name written in silver.

I found the device to be very well made. The Wotofo Mega passed all of my drop tests (no, they weren’t all done on purpose). I had zero issues with the device cracking or breaking. Another thing to note was that there was no paint peeling either. The 4 Wotofo Megas I used for this review also had zero leakage. 

The puff indicator is located at the bottom and lights up when inhaling. The LED light shines through the colored clear plastic cover without any issue. I would say the light is fairly bright making it hard to conceal. I had no issues with the light on any of the devices I used for this review.

For the purpose of this review Wotofo sent us 4 flavors: Pineapple Coconut, Blueberry Raspberry Ice, Grape Ice and Guava Kiwi Passion Fruit. 

They offer 13 different flavor options – from fruit to desert flavors. They also offer mint and non-mint options which is a big deal as most disposables being released have some type of mint or menthol to every flavor. The Wotofo Mega does come in a standard mint flavor, however they do not have a tobacco flavor option. 

I’m going to describe how each flavor tastes to me and what I think of them. Keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it, and vice-versa. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Pineapple Coconut

This flavor has a strong coconut flavor with light hints of pineapple. It is fairly sweet also and reminds me of a drink I would like to have while hanging out on the beach taking in the rays. There is a strong menthol flavor that hits the throat immediately causing a cooling effect. I found it to be a very smooth vape and this was without a doubt my favorite. 

Blueberry Raspberry Ice
The Blueberry Raspberry Ice is also very nice. Upon inhaling you immediately taste the blueberry-raspberry mix. I don’t think I would consider this to be an ice-flavored device as there is pretty much no cooling effect. This is a very smooth vape though and isn’t too sweet either. 

Grape Ice
Purple freeze pop anyone? This is the perfect summer vape. The grape flavor is top notch and so accurate. Some grape flavors can taste pretty artificial but Wotofo did not disappoint here. The Ice-flavor is also very subtle, like the Blueberry Raspberry Ice. My brain keeps playing tricks on me though. The freeze pop flavor keeps making me think it has a cooling effect but it does not. It’s a very smooth flavor and hits the throat just right. 

Guava Kiwi Passion Fruit

As soon as you inhale this flavor you can taste the Guava right away. Then it leads to a passion fruit flavor. I don’t really taste the kiwi until the flavor has been sitting in my mouth for a while. There is no menthol or cooling effect with this flavor which is so nice to see. Again, the flavor is smooth and isn’t too harsh on the throat.

How Do They Vape?

I really enjoyed reviewing the Wotofo Mega. The overall look of the device is nice and it’s super simple to use. The flavors are good and the draw is smooth. The mouthpiece is also very nice and the airflow hole, even as small as it is, delivers a MTL that is just right. I don’t really have anything bad to say about these. 

The Wotofo Mega’s provide a nice draw without being too aggressive. I reviewed these in the 20mg strength and would have liked to try the 50mg strength as I was finding myself vaping a little more than normal. 

I’ve had zero leakage with the Wotofo Mega and using the device is super easy. I’ve had no dry hits and found the flavor to be the same throughout my use. I didn’t have any issues with the draw activation either. 

Verdict

The Wotofo Mega is a simple device, especially for someone new to vaping. With companies turning disposables into more complex devices with adjustable airflow, larger eliquid capacities and rechargeable batteries, the Wotofo Mega is a “true” disposable. It doesn’t pack a ton of ejuice but you can count on reaching the 1500 puff count before the 980mAh battery dies. 

With the many changes to disposables, many of them are also getting quite large. That is not the case with the Wotofo Mega. It is a great device to take on the go and I had no issue carrying more than one device around with me while I was out of the house.

The real question comes down to will you like this device? If you are looking for a longer lasting device with a rechargeable battery and a larger ejuice capacity, I would say no. However, if you are looking for an easy to use device that you can just take out of the box, use, and dispose of, then I can definitely recommend them.
