The bottom line

BLVK’s Ello Plus 6000 disposables are easily some of the best new disposables to come out in 2023. The only negative thing that I have to say is that the airflow slider is stiff and doesn’t offer much of an adjustment range, but that’s really it.

Everything else about these gets a nod of approval; they’re small, attractive, and the flavors are excellent. The draw is superb, so much so that you might forget that you’re even using a disposable and not a refillable vape.

It’s hard for me to communicate just how good these are without sounding disingenuous, but believe me, they are truly that good. Even with the hundreds of vapes that I have at my disposal, I haven’t wanted to put these down — and that’s really saying something.

Because these are only available in 5% strength, lower strength vapers will undoubtedly have to pass on picking them up. They’re already very satisfying for a 5% vape, so I can only imagine that they will be way too much for those who aren’t used to vaping on high-strength disposables.

So what’s the verdict? If you’re looking for a new disposable vape to try, BLVK’s Ello Plus 6000 disposables should be at the top of your list. Give them a try and leave me a comment, I’m positive that you’ll like them as much as I did.

BLVK’s Ello Plus 6000 disposables are the new, larger capacity version of BLVK’s original Ello disposable vapes

As the name suggests, they offer 6000 puffs per device and come filled with 12ml of ejuice. These are rechargeable through the Type-C port located on the bottom of each Ello Plus.

Each device features an airflow switch which can be set for a mouth-to-lung or tight mouth-to-lung draw. At the moment they are only available in 5% (50mg/ml) nicotine strength. There are 12 flavors available.

BLVK are a brand that are known for their ejuices, but their disposables have been gaining similar traction among vapers. I’ve always been a fan of their nicotine salt eliquids so I was eager to test out their disposables. Now, after using them for a few weeks, I just can’t seem to put them down.

Should you pick yourself up a BLVK Ello Plus 6000 disposables? The short answer is yes, but I’ll give you all of the details in this review.

These devices were sent to me directly by BLVK for the purpose of this review. However, this does not in any way affect my thoughts or opinions.

Design & Build Quality

  • BLVK Ello Plus 6000 - 2

BLVK’s Ello Plus 6000 disposables are some of the nicest, most attractive disposables I’ve ever gotten my hands on. Rather than adopt the same design and form factor as 99% of disposables out there, these Ello Plus 6000 look very different and it’s all for the better.

Each one is 89mm tall, 38mm wide, and 19mm thick, so they’re quite small. They have a generally square shape, but with rounded sides and edges that make them feel even smaller than they really are.

The majority of the device is finished in a black, soft-touch coating, with a colored plastic top portion. The color of this plastic corresponds to the flavor of the device, with Kiwi Bang being green, Bubba Melon being pink, etc…

The front of each device has a large “Ello” logo, which is made to look like a smiling face. Underneath the logo is the flavor, nicotine strength (5%), and amount of puffs (6000).

BLVK Ello Plus 6000 - 10

The design is low-key and simple, but attractive. The colored plastic top gives a bit of vibrancy to the whole device and honestly, I really like how they look.

Portability is great. They only weigh around 50g each, so you can easily take two or three with you at a time. I’ve regularly been taking a couple of these wherever I go and the size and weight have not been a problem whatsoever.

Although they are small and light, they feel well-constructed and sturdy. I’ve dropped these a few times and apart from some scratches on the soft-touch body, they’re good as new. Overall, great build quality on these guys.

The bottom of the Ello Plus 6000 has the Type-C charging port, an airflow adjustment switch, and an LED light. This light is quite dim, so stealth vaping is perfectly possible.

Features

BLVK Ello Plus 6000 - 11

When you think of a disposable vape, you think of a simple device that you can pull out of the packaging and vape on and that’s exactly the experience that the Ello Plus 6000’s deliver. They’re no more complicated to use than any other disposable but these have the added bonus of being able to adjust your draw a bit.

The airflow switch on the bottom can be set for either a mouth to lung draw or for a tight mouth to lung draw. There’s really only two ways to set the airflow, with the switch up or down, as minor adjustments aren’t easy to do. The airflow switch is pretty stiff, so you’ll have a hard time fine-tuning the draw. Regardless, I like the two airflow settings and I usually left the switch in the more open position.

Each Ello Plus 6000 comes filled with 12ml of ejuice in 50mg/ml (5%) nicotine strength. This is the only strength available at the moment. Inside is a 650mAh battery which can be recharged with Type-C quick charging, so downtime is very minimal. Each Ello Plus is good for 6000 puffs per device and in my experience, this puff count rating is accurate.

After taking one out of the package and removing the sticker and silicone plug in the mouthpiece, all that you have to do to vape is inhale on the mouthpiece.

Flavors

BLVK Ello Plus 6000 - 3

At the time of writing this review there are twelve flavors available for the Ello Plus 6000. These include two tobacco flavors, seven fruit/ice flavors, and three dessert flavors. Where many disposable brands don’t even offer a single tobacco flavor, it’s nice to see two tobacco flavors offered.

You’ll notice that there are no ice-free fruit flavors but honestly, the ice in some of them are barely noticeable so don’t let that put you off from trying these.

The full list of available flavors is:

  • American Tobacco
  • Havana Tobacco
  • Blue Slushie
  • Bruce Chee
  • Icy Tundra
  • Cool Grapple
  • Bubba Melon
  • Kiwi Bang
  • Tropic Thunder
  • Coco Melo
  • Strawberry Swirlz
  • Vanilla Swirlz

I’m going to describe how each of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Havana Tobacco

This is a smooth tobacco flavor with a touch of sweetness. It has a sweet, cigar-like taste to it and an authentic tobacco flavor that is enjoyable to vape on all day. In my opinion, this is one of the best Ello Plus 6000 flavors and possibly one of the best tobacco flavors that I’ve tried.

American Tobacco

American Tobacco is sweeter than Havana Tobacco, with a creamy flavor to it that is good but not something that I can vape on too frequently. The tobacco flavor is less powerful than Havana Tobacco as well, so it’s a more mellow, sweet, and subtle tobacco vape.

Kiwi Bang

Kiwi Bang is orange and Kiwi with a touch of cooling to it. Despite the name, the orange flavor is stronger than the kiwi but I can taste both flavors throughout the inhale and exhale. It almost has a soda taste to it and the level of sweetness and cooling are at the perfect level.

Bubba Melon

Where has this flavor been my whole life? The bubblegum flavor is expertly and accurately recreated, with tones of watermelon adding positively to the whole flavor. Bubblegum is the main flavor but the watermelon adds another nice dimension to this vape. There’s a bit of cooling here but not much.

Icy Tundra

Spearmint and menthol come together for a refreshing and icy flavor that ice/menthol lovers will appreciate. The ice here is strong, but the spearmint adds that bit of sweetness that keeps me coming back for more.

Bruce Chee

An interesting name for a flavor, that’s for sure. You can tell off the inhale though that this is a lychee vape, slightly candied and with a touch of menthol. As far as lychee flavors go, it’s accurate and authentic and the little bit of candying sweetens it up just the right amount. Compared to other lychee flavors, this one doesn’t have that strong perfume-like taste to it and it isn’t overdone so it’s really pleasant and tasty.

Vanilla Swirlz

If you like dessert flavors, particularly custard, you will want to try this. The custard and vanilla are balanced to a tee, with the custard flavor coming in most strongly. The vanilla flavor is more subtle, but nicely complements the custard on the exhale. For a dessert flavor, this isn’t too sweet, and that makes it perfect for an all day vape.

Tropic Thunder

Even though I can’t put my finger on exactly which fruits I’m tasting, I absolutely love this flavor. I think that I’m tasting orange, mango, pineapple, and maybe papaya, but I can’t be sure. Regardless, it’s a very fruity and tropically refreshing flavor that I just can’t get enough of. This is certainly up there for my favorite Ello Plus flavor. The light hints of menthol add something to this flavor too, but they’re so subtle that even non-menthol vapers will still enjoy it.

Blue Slushie

Blue Slushie is essentially a blue razz ice flavor. The sweet blue raspberry flavor is part natural, part candied, with a touch of menthol to round it all off. This is one of the better blue raspberry flavors that I’ve tried, so I recommend trying it if you like blue razz vapes.

Strawberry Swirlz

The flavor description says frozen strawberries paired with vanilla ice cream, however what I taste is those little strawberry cream candies. It’s a creamy flavor with subtle sweetness that you can vape on all day. It’s not too powerful or overbearing. There’s supposed to be some ice in here, but I don’t taste it at all. Good flavor overall.

Coco Melo

This flavor smells so strongly that I didn’t think that I would like it, but after vaping on it I changed my mind. Coconut and vanilla come together to make a truly unique and tasty flavor. The flavor really pops on the exhale, and the coconut flavor lingers a bit after your puff is done. I don’t taste the ice here but that’s okay with me. This is a nice change from standard fruity options and definitely one to try.

Cool Grapple

Grape is the star of this flavor. There’s supposed to be some apple in here but I don’t taste it. For all intents and purposes, this is a grape flavor that is bold, strong, and punchy. It’s a dense flavor that hits your throat right away with intense flavor. It reminds me a lot of grape mix juice. This one is also sweeter than all of the other flavors, but if you like sweet then this is one to get.

How do they vape?

BLVK Ello Plus 6000 - 4

After reviewing so many disposable products, it’s hard to find a new one that I absolutely just want to vape all of the time. But somehow, BLVK’s Ello Plus 6000 disposables have done just that. It’s not often that I find a disposable that makes me forget about my refillable vapes, but these vape so well that it’s almost a refillable experience.

It’s not one single factor that makes these so good but rather the combination of everything. The draw is super smooth, while still being strong enough that it satisfies the nicotine craving and throat hit that I’m after from a vape.

The flavors certainly make it much easier to love these too. I can’t remember the last time that I tried an entire flavor range and liked all of the flavors, especially not a flavor range as diverse as this one. There’s a bit of something there for everyone, with tobacco flavor, fruit flavor, and dessert flavors, so no matter who you are you will probably like the options.

There’s not a huge range of airflow but what you do get is perfect. You can keep the airflow slider open for a MTL draw, or close it off for a tighter draw. There’s no way to get a loose mouth to lung but for me personally, I found the airflow to be just what I wanted.

A full charge lasts for a good two days of heavy vaping and that should be good enough battery life for most vapers. They charge quite quickly too, requiring only 30 minutes to get fully juiced up again.

Verdict

  • Thank you for the great info you provided about the ello + coco Melo. I have a question: How do I know when to recharge it? Do I have to wait until it doesn’t work at all or does it have a light indicator below? Thank you!

    • Hey Fabián. The Ello Plus has an LED indicator but it’s only in one color, white, so it doesn’t give any information about where the battery is at. That’s a minor con about this device as you will have to wait until it dies to know that it’s out of battery. My suggestion would be to charge it whenever is convenient for you so that you don’t end up with it dying on you out of nowhere.
