The bottom line
Doozy DZ5000 disposables are perfect for vapers with a sweet tooth. Although some of them are overwhelmingly too sweet for me, the flavor mixes are done well and the flavor options are vast. Fruit vape lovers will definitely find a flavor that they like but there’s really not any other flavor categories to choose from. I would have liked to see a tobacco, pop, or pure mint flavor among the choices.
The small size and nice design are also pros for the DZ5000. They’re easily portable, pocketable, and concealable in the hand for stealth vaping. They also feel smaller than they really are and I like the hand feel a lot. The rubberized mouthpiece is certainly a nice touch as well and it feels nice to vape on time and time again.
The performance is equally pleasing, with a nice medium mouth to lung draw that you don’t have to struggle to vape on, along with excellent nicotine satisfaction even from their 20mg/ml strength option.
There are a few cons like the draw getting much weaker as the battery dies, shorter than expected battery life, and a lack of pass thru charging, but it will be up for you to decide if you can live with these flaws.
I’m of the opinion that for vapers with a sweet tooth, the DZ5000 is a choice that you should look into.
Another day, another disposable vape to review! Today I have with me the DZ5000 disposable by Doozy. Doozy is a brand that is owned by MR FOG, who themselves are a major brand in the disposable vaping space.
The Doozy DZ5000 comes with 10ml of ejuice and is available in two nicotine strengths, either 20mg/ml or 50mg/ml. It uses a mesh coil to vaporize the ejuice inside and is rechargeable with Type-C charging. There are 24 different flavors to choose from.
With so many disposable vapes to choose from, is it worth choosing the Doozy DZ5000? If you like sweeter flavors, then yes, but I’ll give you all of the details in this review.

Design & Build Quality
Doozy’s DZ5000 disposables are pretty tiny. Taking a look at the size, they’re 81mm tall, 42mm wide, and 20mm thick but they feel smaller than they really are. They have a rectangular shape with rounded sides and edges and this gives them the illusion that they are tinier than their actual size.
When holding them in my hand they are easily concealable and comfortable to hold. The case features a metallic gradient finish, with the colors depending on the flavor. They’re slippery for sure, but the finish feels nice and it has also held up well in my day to day use. There’s no chipping or scratching on the metallic finish, even after being in and out of my pockets and dropped a few times.
The mouthpiece area features a unique rubberized material. It’s rather firm but it can still be manipulated a bit. The drip tip being rubberized feels great on the lips and I like the appearance that it gives to the device. Like the gradient body, the color of the rubberized top portion depends on the flavor that you get.
There’s a large, graffiti-style Doozy logo on the front of the device, along with the model (DZ5000), and flavor. Otherwise, there’s no other logos or branding and this keeps the DZ5000 looking clean. The graffiti-style logo and colorful body makes these stand out in a crowd though.
I’ve been taking two or three of these with me wherever I go and I haven’t had an issue with portability at all. My biggest issue has been misplacing them, as they’re small enough that they can easily fall into the cracks in my couch or get lost in my car.
On the bottom of the Doozy DZ5000 there is an LED indicator light, the Type-C charging port, and some airflow holes. The LED light is rather dim so it’s hard to see in the daytime, however this makes it perfect for using at night because it does not attract much attention.
Features
The specs for the Doozy DZ5000 are good for the small size. Each one comes with 10ml of ejuice and a rechargeable battery which will get you around 5000 puffs. I can’t find the exact capacity of the battery listed anywhere (not even on Doozy’s website), but I would estimate that it’s a 500-650mAh battery.
You can get these disposables in either 20mg/ml or 50mg/ml strength. Here in Canada, the maximum nicotine strength is restricted to 20mg/ml, so that is what I have here for this review. For 20mg disposables, they’re satisfying and deliver a good draw.
There’s no adjustable airflow on the DZ5000 but the draw is a nice, medium mouth to lung draw. It only takes light pressure to activate but enough that I haven’t had these accidentally activate in my pocket.
In order to use these you just take them out of the box and packaging, remove the sticker and silicone mouthpiece plug, and inhale to vape. They’re as simple to use as you would expect a disposable vape to be, with no settings to worry about or adjust.
Flavors
Doozy’s flavor options are one of the most attractive features of the DZ5000. The majority of the options are fruit mixes and all of them are quite sweet. This means that if you’re a fruit flavor lover and you like your disposable vapes on the sweeter side, these could be an option for you.
In total there are 24 flavors that Doozy offers for the DZ5000. The complete list of flavors is:
- Apple Peach
- Black Ice
- Blue Razz Lemon
- Cherry Peach
- Cranberry Grape
- Mango Peach Apricot
- Peach Berry
- Peach Blue Razz
- Peach Ice
- Peach Lemon Mint
- Peach Mango
- Peach Sakura Grape
- Pineapple Mango
- Pineapple Strawnana
- Rainbow Candy
- Raspberry Peach
- Raspberry Watermelon
- Sour Apple
- Strawberry Banana
- Strawberry Kiwi
- Triple Berry Ice
- Tropical Rainbow
- Watermelon Cherry
- White Gummy
I’m going to describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.
Triple Berry Ice
I taste a strong strawberry flavor, along with lighter notes of blueberry and raspberry. The three berries come together really well. I like that strawberry is the strongest here as I’m a fan of strawberry flavors and it’s natural tasting instead of candied. There’s light cooling on the inhale and exhale but nothing too intense.
Rainbow Candy
This flavor is candied and very sweet with fruit undertones that make it hard to place exactly which candy it is. I actually don’t think that Doozy was going for any one candy in particular, but rather for a general candy taste. In that respect, I think the flavor is very tasty as long as you like a sweet vape.
Pineapple Mango
This is one of the best pineapple and mango mixes that I’ve had. It has a natural taste that is authentic and true to the fruits. Pineapple is strongest on the inhale, with the mango flavors mixing in throughout the rest of the draw. The blend of these two fruit flavors is extremely well done and I rank this as my favorite of the DZ5000 flavors.
Peach Lemon Mint
This is a weird flavor for me because I taste the peach very strongly but the lemon and mint flavors are nowhere to be found. There’s a bit of mint at the end of the exhale but it’s nowhere near as strong as it needs to be. I would have also liked the lemon flavor to be more pronounced. The peach flavor is quite strong and sweet though, which is nice.
Raspberry Watermelon
Another really great flavor here. The raspberry and watermelon flavors are equal and both express themselves all throughout the inhale and exhale. Like their other flavors, it’s quite sweet though. There’s a little bit of candying going on with the watermelon flavor but it leans more towards the natural side. All around a tasty, but sweet, flavor.
How do they vape?
Doozy’s DZ5000 disposables are really quite good. However, I’ll reiterate something that I’ve said a few times in this review which is that the flavors are all on the sweeter side. This is great if you have a sweet tooth and want more of a ‘pop’ from your vape each time you inhale.
However, if you prefer more mellow flavors then you’re going to be overwhelmed by the sheer flavor and sweetness that these provide.
I’ve been using these in 20mg/ml strength and they’re strong enough to leave me feeling satisfied, but not so strong as to overwhelm me. I unfortunately didn’t have the chance to try these in the 50mg/ml strength that is offered but I can only imagine that those will be very powerful.
My suggestion is to go with the 20mg/ml if you’re a moderate vaper. Only heavy smokers or those used to vaping 50mg/ml should try that nicotine strength.
The mouth to lung draw from these is a medium MTL draw. It’s going more towards a loose MTL than to a tight MTL, so there’s no struggle to draw. It feels natural to inhale and I get a decent amount of vapor with each puff. The draw activation works perfectly too and I’ve had no issues with getting these to activate.
One quality to point out about the DZ5000 is that the draw gets much weaker as the battery dies, at which point it will just stop firing altogether when the battery runs out. There’s no pass-thru charging either so you have to wait for it to charge before being able to use it again.
A full charge with a DZ5000 lasted me for a day and then some. It’s a good idea to keep a couple of these on the go to extend the usage times and so that you don’t get stuck with a dead disposable when you need it the most.
Verdict
