The bottom line

While I enjoyed vaping these, itโ€™s hard to ignore the โ€˜budgetโ€™ e-juice taste that these have. They arenโ€™t as full-flavored and bold as an e-juice from a premium brand like Vapetasia, but that doesnโ€™t make them bad. Theyโ€™re just at a different price and quality range, and for some, that more budget-friendly price will be worth it.

As far as cheaper e-juice brands go, though, Cloud Nurdz is one of the best that Iโ€™ve tried. The flavors are tasty and as satisfying as you would expect from any e-juice. If you want to save some money on e-juice, Cloud Nurdz might just be the way to go. However, those of you who like ice flavors will want to be aware of the very subtle cooling, as it will probably not be intense enough for your liking.

Product Overview

Iโ€™m back with another e-juice review, and this time itโ€™s Cloud Nurdz! For a long time, Cloud Nurdz has been one of my go-to e-juice brands, simply because it is widely and easily available, and the flavors taste great. These e-juices are also extremely affordable. A 100ml bottle of freebase or a 30ml bottle of nic salts can be found for right around $10 USD, so they’re a go-to for vapers looking for a good, cheap e-juice.ย

Cloud Nurdz offers 22 flavors in both freebase and nicotine salt forms, and offers โ€œIcedโ€ versions of many of their fruit flavors as well.

In this review, Iโ€™m going to go over three nicotine salt e-juices from Cloud Nurdz: Apple Grape, Iced Strawberry Lemon, and Iced Blue Raspberry Peach. Iโ€™ll go over how they taste, how harsh they are on coils, and how satisfying they are to vape.

About Cloud Nurdz

Cloud Nurdz was founded in 2016 by two friends looking to make a splash in the e-juice world, and from the moment these e-juices hit the market, they were a success. Something about the sweet flavors and how they are mixed clearly hit the sweet spot for vapers, and Cloud Nurdz easily gained a loyal following. Also worth noting is that Cloud Nurdz has submitted flavors for PMTA review.

Cloud Nurdz: What to Expect

Cloud Nurdz is best known for its โ€˜standardโ€™ line of e-juices, which are available as both freebase and nicotine salt e-juices. These 13 flavors are mostly fruit-centric, but include a clear and a flavorless option as well. The 11 fruit flavors are also available in an โ€œIcedโ€ version in either freebase or nicotine salt format.

Recently, Cloud Nurdz expanded its flavor offerings with two new lines of e-juices: Tobacco Edition (four flavors) and Mint Nurdz (five flavors). All of these new flavors are available as freebase or nicotine salt e-juices.

Cloud Nurdz e-juices are available in 100ml bottles and in 0mg, 3mg, or 6mg nicotine strength for their freebase e-juices, or in 30ml bottles and in 25mg, 30mg, or 50mg nicotine strength for their nicotine salt e-juices.

Unfortunately, I couldnโ€™t find the VG/PG ratios of their e-juices as this information is not listed on their website or on the packaging. But more likely than not, they are 50/50 to 60VG for their nic salts, and 70VG for their freebase e-juices.

How do the flavors taste?

I picked up three flavors for this review, all from their original lineup. However, two of these are the โ€˜Icedโ€™ version. The flavors that Iโ€™ve been testing are Apple Grape, Strawberry Lemon (Iced), and their most popular flavor, Blue Raspberry Peach (Iced). All three of these are nicotine salt e-juices in 25mg/ml nicotine strength.

Since nicotine salts are best used with low-powered pod vapes, thatโ€™s exactly the type of device I used to test them. OXVA makes some really good, flavorful pods, so Iโ€™ve been running these e-juices through the new NeXLIM 2 and its 0.8ฮฉ pod.

Iโ€™m going to describe how they taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I donโ€™t like a flavor, this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Blue Raspberry Peach (Iced)

Cloud Nurdz Blue Raspberry Peach Iced Nic Salt E-Juice 500x500

I can see why this is Cloud Nurdz’s most popular flavor. The candied blue raspberry taste is quite good, with very subtle notes of peach that just slightly enhance the flavor. The iced component is weak, so I donโ€™t think that it will truly satisfy those looking for an icy vape. It also has more of a menthol taste, which isnโ€™t what I was expecting. Overall, good flavor, but itโ€™s not quite as intense or flavorful as what you would get from premium e-juice brands.

Apple Grape

The grape part of that flavor comes through very heavily, with the apple flavor taking a backseat. Itโ€™s more intense and flavorful than Blue Raspberry Peach, and sweeter too. Iโ€™d place this flavor at the top of the three I tried, although it still has a more โ€˜budgetโ€™ e-juice taste to it. Itโ€™s certainly an e-juice I would vape without a problem, and it tastes good, but donโ€™t expect a complex, nuanced flavor.

Strawberry Lemon (Iced)

Like Blue Raspberry Peach, the ice part of this flavor is really a menthol taste, with little icy cooling to speak of. Also, similarly, the lemon part of this flavor is the one that I taste the most, with strawberry being a background flavor. If you like lemonade-style e-juices, then youโ€™ll like what this flavor offers, but you shouldnโ€™t expect a fruity flavor. Once again, it has a โ€˜budgetโ€™ flavor to it, but is still perfectly vapeable and has a good enough taste that I would vape it again.

How do they vape?

Cloud Nurdz is affordably priced, and for the price point that these e-juices sell for, itโ€™s hard to beat the experience they deliver.

They are smooth and taste good, with a nice throat hit to boot. As I mentioned in the previous section, they are sweet, but to a point. The flavors donโ€™t just blast you with sweetness, but instead deliver a softer and more understated vape that still tastes good.

I found apple grape to be a bit harsher than the other two flavors that I tried, as it has more of a kick to the flavor that tickles my throat a bit. All three flavors are very satisfying in terms of the nicotine delivery, even at a 25mg/ml nicotine content.ย

Verdict

While I enjoyed vaping these, itโ€™s hard to ignore the โ€˜budgetโ€™ e-juice taste that these have. They arenโ€™t as full-flavored and bold as an e-juice from a premium brand like Vapetasia, but that doesnโ€™t make them bad. • They make a Banana Dragonberry I like. The banana dominates the scent while the dragonberry comes through in the flavor profile. The banana flavor is accurate and not too sweet. I tried their Grape Apple and found it smells and tastes like Grape soda, which I don’t like as much as I thought I would. The Banana Dragonberry however is about to get purchased again.
