The bottom line
The Dinner Lady Galax isnโt perfect, but few disposable vapes are. Thereโs room for improvement in the design, but these are otherwise good disposable vapes that I enjoyed testing and using.
The main things that Iโd like to see on a โGalaxy V2โ are a more accurate/responsive dial, a visible e-juice tank or an e-juice level indicator, and a smaller/lighter body. A higher capacity battery would also be great, but I don’t want to ask for too much here.
But thereโs a lot to like about the Galax as it is. Great flavors, as you would expect from a brand like Dinner Lady, consistency, and a great draw once the settings are dialed in. I donโt think that a 30W maximum output is necessary on a 50mg/ml vape, but maybe super heavy smokers trying to make the switch to vaping will find it helps.ย
So are these disposables as good as their e-juices? Thatโs kind of like comparing apples to oranges. But to frame it another way, Iโll put it like this: Dinner Lady makes top-tier e-juices, but their disposables still have room for improvement. This doesnโt mean theyโre bad; theyโre just not in my top 5 disposables like their e-juices are in my top 5 e-juice brands.

Product Overview
Dinner Lady is a brand best known for its tasty confectionery e-juices. The most popular flavor is definitely โLemon Tartโ, but โStrawberry Macaroonโ, โWatermelon Slicesโ, and โApple Crumbleโ are just a few other fan favorites.
Given how successful the brand has been, Dinner Lady clearly knows how to make good e-juice. And whatโs the next step for a successful e-juice brand? Disposable vapes, of course!
Dinner Lady isnโt new to disposables, but Iโm certainly new to their disposables. The Galax is one of their most popular devices, and from looking at the specs, I can see why. It comes prefilled with 24ml of e-juice for up to 60,000 puffs, features wattage adjustment from 16 to 30W, and comes in over 10 delicious-sounding flavors. Other specs include adjustable airflow, a digital display, and a 1000mAh battery with Type-C charging.
I got my hands on three Galax flavors, and Iโve been using and testing them for over two weeks. Are these disposables as good as their e-juices? Thatโs what I set out to find out.

Design & Build Quality
The Galax is a big disposable. The 50mm width is pretty standard, but the height of 106mm and thickness of 31.5mm make it noticeably bigger than most other disposables. It feels gigantic to hold, and even in my relatively large hands, thereโs no concealing this thing for a few sneaky puffs.
Add to this a weight of 107g, and the Galax isnโt going to win any awards for the lightest or most portable disposable vape. The rounded sides and edges make it comfortable to hold, though, so maybe it can win an award for that.
So where is all this weight coming from? Itโs not from the entirely plastic body, which should be pretty lightweight. Looking at the specs, the weight is definitely due to the 24ml of e-juice the Galax comes filled with.
One thing that stands out on the Galax is the large dial on its front. This dial is used to adjust the wattage. If Iโm honest, it doesnโt feel great, and itโs not very accurate either. Spinning it too fast either does nothing or adjusts the wattage in the opposite direction. You have to twist it slowly and deliberately for it to work properly. Thereโs also no lock, so unintentional pocket adjustments are unfortunately a thing.ย
The display is a simple backlit image of a spaceship and planets, along with a wattage readout at the top and a battery percentage readout near the bottom. Like the rest of the device, the display is nothing too fancy.ย
Missing from the display is an e-juice readout, which is odd because the Galax does not have a visible e-juice tank. Youโre just kind of left in the dark with this device as to how much e-juice is left, until you inevitably get a dry hit, letting you know that the e-juice is finished. This alone puts the Galax far behind my favorite disposables, but maybe the performance and flavors will make up for it.
Features
The Dinner Lady Galax has some strong specs, but itโs not all that feature-rich. It comes prefilled with 24ml of e-juice for a claimed 60,000 puffs, but who knows how accurate that really is.
Using the wattage adjustment dial, the output can be set from 16-30W. This is a 50mg/ml vape, so I feel that 30W would absolutely decimate me if I dared vape it that high. In fact, Iโm not sure who could vape a 50mg vape at 30W. The Hulk? Superman? I recommend being careful and starting with a low wattage, then working your way up to an output youโre comfortable with.
The bottom of the device has an airflow control slider with a decent range of adjustment. Wide open, youโre going to get a restricted direct lung draw, which, like the wattage range, is a bit odd for such a high-strength disposable. Closing the airflow as far down as it will go gets the draw to a MTL draw that isnโt very tight, but which isnโt too loose either. As an MTL vaper, this is how I preferred it.
Located next to the airflow slider is a Type-C charging port. The 1000mAh battery lasts for around 2 days of use and takes about 55 minutes for a full charge.
Flavors
From what I can find, the Galax is currently available in 11 flavors. Thatโs less than I’d like to see, because 11 flavors doesnโt leave much room for variety. As expected, thereโs no tobacco flavor and no ice flavors, but there is a solo mint flavor. The flavors are:
- Berry Candyย
- Berry Cherry Lime
- California Cherry
- Fab Blackberry
- Grape Bubblegumย
- Miami Mint
- Sour Apple B-Pop
- Sour Mango Pineapple
- Sour Pink Dust
- Strawberry B-Pop
- Ultimate Melon
As always, Iโm going to describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I donโt like a flavor, it doesnโt mean you wonโt like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.
Strawberry B-Pop
This flavor tastes a lot like the Strawberry B Pop flavor from the Geekbar Pulse. Thereโs a candied strawberry flavor, light notes of bubble gum, and a bit of a lollipop taste, too. Itโs sweet, but just enough without being sickly sweet.
Ultimate Melon
This is a sweet but rather light-tasting watermelon flavor. Thereโs maybe a bit of cantaloupe and honeydew too, but itโs hard to tell. If youโre a watermelon flavor fan, then youโll definitely like this!ย
Sour Mango Pineapple
I saved the best for last. The mango and pineapple flavors come through equally, with maybe a little edge to mango. Despite the name, I didnโt find this flavor to be all that sour, just a hint of tartness on the exhale. The flavor mix is expertly done, making for a very tasty flavor all around.
How do they vape?
The Galax can provide a really good vape, but itโs all about how you set it up. For me, I disliked the draw with the airflow open. The restricted direct lung draw feels too airy, and the flavor takes a hit, too. Setting the wattage too high is also an issue, as it makes the draw overwhelming due to the 50mg/ml nicotine strength.
The best settings for the Dinner Lady Galax, at least for me, are the wattage set at 18-20W, and the airflow closed down as far as it will go. This makes the draw smooth and warm without being too strong, and itโs still very satisfying. It also takes the draw down to a medium mouth-to-lung draw, which is how I prefer to vape on these higher-strength disposable vapes.
