Disposable vapes, or disposable e-cigs, are becoming increasingly popular among vapers. They’re small, portable, easy to use, and deliver a satisfying draw. These qualities make them especially attractive to those looking to quit smoking, and many are turning to disposable vapes to make the transition into vaping.
Most disposables on the market are filled with between 1-2ml of eliquid and will get you through only a couple of days of vaping before you have to throw them out. This short usage life is a frustrating drawback for some vapers who are looking for a longer lasting disposable with the same ease of use and similar portability.
Thankfully, vape companies have been listening to the wants of vapers and are starting to release disposable vapes that pack larger batteries and that are filled with much more eliquid.
One of these companies is Dinner Lady, an ejuice brand known for their popular and award winning flavors like Lemon Tart and Blackberry Crumble. Their Vape Pen Max disposables come prefilled with 6.5ml of nicotine salt ejuice in either 30mg or 50mg strengths and pack a 1000mAh battery to ensure that they’ll last.
Dinner Lady claims that these disposables will last for over 1500 puffs — more than 4 times the puffs that you would get from an average disposable ecig. They certainly look good, but how do they perform? I spent a few weeks vaping them to find out.
These disposables were sent to me by Vapor4Life for the purpose of this review.

Design & Build Quality
Each Dinner Lady Vape Pen Max disposable comes packaged in a nice cardboard box that features a glossy picture of the disposable. The box is labeled with the nicotine strength, ejuice capacity and flavor, and features raised glossy print for certain words. Dinner Lady is known as a premium ejuice brand and even their packaging lives up to their premium reputation.
Inside the box, each disposable is sealed in plastic/foil packaging with silicone caps over each end of the device. This packaging ensures that the disposable remains fresh and the silicone caps ensure that there’s no leaking during transport.
Once all of the packaging is removed we get to the star of this review: the Vape Pen Max disposable. It’s about 100mm tall, around the same height as most other disposables, and it has a rounded tube shape. It’s a chunky device that reminds me more of a pod vape than a disposable, but that’s to be expected when you take into account the 6.5ml eliquid capacity and 1000mAh battery.
Even with the girth, it’s still a very portable device. The aluminum casing keeps it quite light and it’s still easy to throw a couple of these in your pocket and go. The rounded shape is ergonomic and due to the circumference it fits comfortably in my hand.
Each disposable has a simple and minimalistic design that still manages to look premium and attractive. A Dinner Lady logo is featured near the top of each disposable and each one is finished with anodized metallic paint. The color of the metallic paint is representative of the flavor, however a few of the flavors are nearly the same color so it’s difficult to tell them apart until you vape them.
The plastic mouthpiece is concave on each side and has a “duckbill” shape. It’s quite a substantial mouthpiece compared to other disposables and I like it a lot. It’s not only comfortable, but ensures that you won’t draw on the wrong end of the disposable.
At the bottom side of the disposable is an LED that lights up upon taking a draw. It’s bright but not too bright. However, if you’re trying to be stealthy about your vaping you can’t just cover it up because this is also where the airflow hole is located.
For a disposable device these are well constructed. They’re meant to be thrown away when you’re done but still look and feel like a reusable device. Overall I’m very happy with the design and build quality of Dinner Lady’s Vape Pen Max disposables.
These disposables come in 9 flavors, most of which have a cooling sensation to them. Some of these are the same flavors that Dinner Lady sells as ejuices, and some of these are new and exclusive to these disposables.
I was sent six of their flavors: Strawberry Mac, Mango Ice, Citrus Ice, Banana Ice, Bubblegum Ice, and Lemon Sherbets Ice. Unfortunately, I was not sent their Lemon Tart or Fruit Mix flavors which sound like two of the tastier flavor choices.
This is a strawberry macaroon flavor that will appeal to any dessert flavor lover. For those who don’t know, macaroons are a small treat that have a cookie like flavor that is infused with coconut and almonds. This disposable has a strong dessert bakery flavor, with a subtle but present strawberry flavor mixed in. On the exhale I can taste a very subtle almond flavor. I think that with stronger strawberry notes this flavor would be perfect but as-is it’s still a very nice vape.
An unmistakable bubble gum flavor that makes me just want to keep on vaping it. There’s a slight cooling, but it’s so light that I think even non-menthol vapers will likely enjoy it. There’s a light strawberry banana flavor here that makes it that much better. This candied bubble gum flavor makes a great all-day-vape and it’s definitely one of my favorite flavors of the bunch.
Like Bubblegum Ice, Citrus Ice doesn’t have a very strong cooling effect. This is good news for non-menthol vapers but those seeking a super icy draw will be disappointed. This disposable is like a citrus drink. The citrusy notes are tart and tasty, with strong notes of lemon, lime, and orange.
This is a strong candied banana flavor with a subtle blast of cooling. The banana is strong and sweet, with a little bit of cooling coming through on the exhale. Again, non-menthol vapers will probably still enjoy this flavor. It reminds me of those small banana hard candies that you would get as a child from a vending machine. Super tasty.
I can smell and taste that there’s mango in this flavor, but it’s rather subtle and not as powerful as I would like. This flavor is a bit muddled as the flavor doesn’t stand out like you would expect. The cooling is stronger than the previously mentioned flavors, with a light slightly tropical taste. This is my least favorite of the flavors and, in my opinion, it could do with a reworking.
Lemon Sherbets Ice
If you like lemon flavors but aren’t a fan of the dessert aspect of Dinner Lady’s Lemon Tart, this is the flavor for you. Strong, tart lemon flavor and a smooth cooling sensation make this disposable a must-try for citrus lovers.
I opened up one of these disposables to check the internal workings and what Dinner Lady has done is pretty neat. There’s stacks of thick cotton that hold all of the ejuice. That means that the cotton is always wicked and greatly reduces the chances of getting a dry hit. This is a change from other disposables that are smaller and thus mostly use thinner cotton.
The main selling point for Dinner Lady’s Vape Pen Max disposables are that they last much longer than other disposables — 1500+ puffs. At the time of writing this review, I haven’t reached over 1500 puffs on any of these yet, but I have gotten well over 1000 puffs on some of them and they’re still going strong. Opening up the casing to look at the cotton still shows that there’s plenty of ejuice left which makes me believe that these could indeed reach over 1500 puffs.
These are available in both 30mg and 50mg strengths. The 50mg disposables will offer a strong throat hit with enough nicotine that even heavy smokers/vapers will be satisfied by. The 30mg strength is still quite strong, but will offer a lighter throat hit that is more suited for lighter smokers trying to make the transition to vaping or for average vapers looking for an easier to use alternative to pod devices and vape mod kits.
I’ve been using these disposables heavily for the last few weeks and I’ve had no performance issues during this time. The draw activation has worked flawlessly on each of these devices and they haven’t malfunctioned in any way. They also haven’t leaked at all, even after being left on their sides overnight.
Dinner Lady are not just a premium ejuice brand anymore; they’re also a premium brand for disposable vapes. Their Vape Pen Max disposables are a great alternative to other disposable vapes that only last for a few days before having to be thrown away. These disposables taste great and will last you more than 4 times as long as other disposables while not costing anywhere near 4 times as much.
On the whole, I liked all of the flavors with the exception of the Mango Ice. The rest are very well done and super tasty. I think they could all qualify as an all day vape, it just depends on which flavors you’re partial to.
