The bottom line
The Flonq Max is a nice (if unexceptional) disposable vape. It doesn’t have some of the more advanced features, like digital displays or liquid level indicators, that are becoming more common in modern disposables, but if you want a well-built and simple device, this hits the mark.
The design is great, especially if you’re tired of brightly-colored, cheap-looking disposables and want something more grown-up and discreet. There’s clearly been some thought put into the shape and the sculpted drip tip to make it comfortable to hold and use all day.
The flavors are good and there is a nice mix of different flavor profiles. Most are the standard slightly sweeter style favored in disposable vapes, but there are a few exceptions, such as Mint Chill. There is even a “Clear” flavor, basically flavorless vape juice with a bit of cooling.
Battery life is nothing amazing, but it does the job and should last the average vaper a full day. And if the battery does run low, recharging is fast and efficient.
The Flonq Max might not be setting the world on fire in terms of advanced features, but if you want a good-looking, reliable, and great-tasting disposable, it’s a decent option.
It seems like hardly a day goes by without a new disposable vape hitting the stores. There are thousands of different devices from which to choose, from hundreds of new and established vape brands. Perhaps in an effort to stand out, several brands have come up with unusual designs.
And that brings me to the Flonq Max, one of the newest devices in the Flonq vape family and one of the most uniquely designed. This 8000-puff disposable looks nothing like your average Elf Bar or Flum vape, that’s for sure.
But is the Flonq Max all about the design, or is there more to this high-capacity device than meets the eye? After a couple of weeks of testing out several of the available flavors, here are my thoughts on the vape experience and whether this is a case of form over function.

Design & Build Quality
The design of the Flonq Max disposables is the first thing that stands out. Where most disposable vapes are brightly colored, these have a more grown-up look, resembling something you’d keep your AirPods in more than a vape.
The shiny white body is accented with a strip of color on the flattened side. The color gives a clue to the flavor inside the vape, but even this is low-key and classy-looking. If the color clue isn’t enough (and it won’t be in most cases,) the flavor is also printed on this flat section. The vape design is finished off by a metallic silver band running around the whole thing.
The drip tip is also nicely designed and is formed from the body rather than looking like it’s been stuck on the top as an afterthought. It has a slightly flattened shape that’s somewhere between duck-bill and cylindrical. It’s very comfortable to use for prolonged periods and even comes with a little silicone cap that you can use to keep fluff and dust out of the mouthpiece.
Overall, the build quality is good. The device feels much more solid than some other well-known high-capacity vapes. Even the USB port feels secure and holds the USB plug tightly, something that isn’t always assured with disposables.
Features
The Flonq Max disposables are fairly simple devices, with none of the fancy digital displays or adjustment controls starting to appear more often on similar large-capacity vapes. Depending on what you’re after from a disposable, that could be either a good or bad thing.
Hidden inside the shiny white body is a 650mAh rechargeable battery that can be topped up through the USB Type-C port on the bottom. Well, I say bottom, but perhaps “end” would be a better word to use, because the flattened side of the Flonq Max acts as a more natural base when standing the vape on a table or desk.
The coil appears to be of the standard mesh type found in most disposables nowadays. I couldn’t find any more detailed information, but it seemed to work well enough for the ten or more days I used the vape.
That mesh coil is used to vaporize the generous 14ml of e-liquid inside the Flonq Max. It is suggested that this will provide up to 8000 puffs. That estimated puff count will, as always, vary depending on how heavy you draw on the vape, but I have no reason to think it isn’t accurate.
As far as I can see, the Flonq Max is only available in 35mg/ml nicotine strength, although this may vary in regions that limit nicotine content (such as the UK and Europe.)
Flavors
You don’t have the range of flavors some disposable brands provide, but there are still 14 to choose from, and the lineup includes a nice mix of sweet, fruit, and cooling combinations. I got to check out five of the total available, and I have to say, it was an interesting but slightly mixed bag.
The full range includes:
- Banana Milkshake
- Strawberry Ice Cream
- Clear
- Mint Chill
- Tobacco
- Watermelon Ice
- Yummy Bear
- Pink Lemonade
- Blue Lemonade
Alongside those are the ones I was lucky enough to test out, which included:
Aloe Grape
I generally like grape e-liquids and this was no different. I’m not exactly sure what the aloe adds to the experience apart from a slight (and not unpleasant) earthy flavor. It isn’t overly sweet, perhaps also due to the aloe, which suits my tastes but might not be for everyone.
Mix Berries
Possibly my favorite of the flavors I got to try. A very fruity mixed berry taste, combined with just enough sweetness and a cooling blast on the exhale. If you have tried and enjoyed mixed berries flavors elsewhere, this one will also hit the spot.
Cherry Peach Lemon
Peach isn’t a flavor I enjoy in vape juice, but found it quite enjoyable in this combination. It adds a sweetness to the cherry but is offset by the slight citrus hit of the lemon (or lemonade, as I have also seen this flavor described.) This was probably my second favorite of the flavors I tested.
Milk Chocolate
To say I found this flavor strange would be an understatement. I was expecting the sweetness and richness implied by milk chocolate, and it supplied that in spades. The part I wasn’t ready for was the cooling hit that came straight after. It isn’t a winner for me, but it was an ‘interesting’ vape experience nonetheless.
Strawberry Watermelon
As the now almost classic disposable vape flavor, strawberry watermelon rarely fails to hit the spot with disposable vape users. It can sometimes be a little too sweet for me, but this one was pleasant, with enough fruity freshness to keep me coming back for more.
How do they vape?
The Flonq Max is designed as an MTL vape, as almost all disposables are. The draw is on the loose side of medium, and the lack of adjustable airflow means there is little you can do to change that.
I found that the flavors I tested provided a decent throat hit for the most part. The vape fires quickly and seems to get up to temperature quickly, providing a good amount of vapor with each puff. I only experienced a firing delay a few times, and only when the device battery needed some juice.
Although I can’t verify they will last for the suggested 8000 puffs, it must be up around that figure. I used the Mix Berries vape for well over a week before it ran out. A good result for a vape you can pick up for 15 bucks. Some sort of juice level indicator would have been nice, but it’s fairly easy to tell that the Flonq Max is reaching the very end of its life.
The flavors hold up well, although there is an almost inevitable drop-off in flavor consistency when the device is nearing empty, or if the battery level is low. A full charge of the pretty standard 650mAh battery should give most users a full day of vaping but don’t expect much more than that. Thankfully, the USB Type-C port means that recharging is fast.
The device is very low-key, with no overly bright LEDs or colors to give you away if some stealth vaping is called for. Although it might be a bit too chunky to be completely concealed in your palm, it’s still possible to use the Flonq Max discreetly.
