Our Verdict

Freeton has impressed me with these disposables. It seems like all I’m reviewing these days are disposable vapes, so it can get quite monotonous when they’re all the same, but Freeton has managed to make the F-Resin Pro and F-Resin Max stand out in a good way. The black and white resin design is subtle but classy, and the build quality is excellent. These are just really nice looking disposables that you’ll feel bad having to throw away when you’re done.

The performance is also excellent. Everything from the flavors, to the draw, to the flawless functioning is exactly what you hope for when you purchase a disposable that is supposed to be hassle free and easy to use and that’s exactly what these disposables deliver.

A few things to keep in mind are the size and the scratching that the gloss resin finish picks up. But if you’re okay with a larger, bulkier disposable in order to get a lot of puffs and a nice device, the performance and flavors are well worth it.

When it comes to disposable vapes, I can easily and confidently recommend Freeton’s F-Resin Pro and F-Resin Max disposables.

Freeton is a vaping manufacturer that specializes in disposable vapes. They currently offer over 20 different disposable vapes, each with a different shape and design. They have large capacity disposables, small and portable ones, and even a disposable that takes an external 18650 battery. No matter what you’re looking for, they likely have a disposable that will fit your needs.

I have two of their latest disposables with me for review today, the F-Resin Pro and the F-Resin Max. As the name suggests, these are resin disposables which is something different from other disposable vapes on the market. The F-Resin Pro contains 12ml of 2% nic salt ejuice for up to 4500 puffs, while the F-Resin Max contains 18ml of 2% nic salt ejuice for up to 5000 puffs. There are 10 flavors available.

They look good, but does their performance live up to their appearance?

These disposables were sent to me directly by Freeton for the purpose of this review.

Design & Build Quality

  • Freeton F-Resin Pro F-Resin Max - 2

The F-Resin Max and F-Resin Pro are hands-down some of the nicest disposables that I’ve used. Firstly, they are made of resin, which is unheard of for a disposable vape. At first I wasn’t sure if they were made of real resin or not, mostly because they have a gloss finish that feels like plastic. But after a close look at each individual disposable, they all have a different pattern so I’m now confident that they are made of real resin. Although these don’t have the resin texture and feel that I’m used to, the gloss finish looks really nice and the different patterns are really cool.

Both the F-Resin Max and F-Resin Pro are made of black resin with white resin swirls. This is the same for all the flavors. I would have liked to see different colored resin for each different flavor but the black and white resin look is classy. Plus, the Freeton logo and flavor are printed in gold which further adds to the classy, prestigious look.

The F-Resin Max and F-Resin Pro are very similar disposables, both in the way they look and in the way that they function. The biggest visual difference between them is their size. The F-Resin Max is just a little taller than the F-Resin Pro at 109mm vs 97mm tall. Otherwise, the dimensions are the same and both devices are 24.12mm thick and 32.69mm wide.

The size definitely makes these feel more like pod vapes than disposables, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind. These are the types of disposables where you’ll take one with you out of the house at a time because carrying any more at once will bulk you up and weigh you down.

The large size is due in part to the large amount of ejuice that these hold. The F-Resin Max comes with 18ml of ejuice, while the F-Resin Pro comes with 12ml. All of the units that I received are filled with 2% nicotine salt ejuice, but I believe that Freeton is also offering 5% strength as well. The F-Resin Max will deliver up to 5000 puffs, while the F-Resin Pro is good for up to 4500.

Freeton F-Resin Pro F-Resin Max - 7

Even though they’re big, I like the rectangular shape and beveled edges. It literally feels like a pod vape and most of the time I forgot that I was even holding a disposable. While the F-Resin Max is only a bit taller than the F-Resin Pro, it feels much larger when you’re holding it and I preferred the smaller size of the F-Resin Pro.

The drip tips on these are like a thin and wide pyramid with sloped sides. There are 4 distinct sides but you don’t notice this at all when you’re taking a puff. It’s actually very nice to vape on. The drip tips are tinted with a dark black tint to match the black resin and this gives a nice uniform appearance. I wanted to list this as a con because dark tint prevents you from seeing your ejuice level when you’re using a pod vape, but I realized that these are disposable vapes. That’s how similar these look and feel to a pod vape!

On the bottom of both devices there is a Type-C charging port and a white LED.

On the whole, both the F-Resin Max and F-Resin Pro are very nicely designed disposables. The resin look is special and the gold print just gives it another level of class. The only knocks to the design/build quality are the facts that the gloss finish seems to scuff and scratch quite easily, and that the size is quite large and bulky. The scratching is something that you won’t notice unless you’re looking at them in the sun or bright light, so it’s not too major. However, there’s nothing you can do about the size.

Airflow

Freeton F-Resin Pro F-Resin Max - 8

Both the F-Resin Max and F-Resin Pro feature an adjustable airflow switch on the bottom of the devices. This airflow consists of two small holes and one large hole.

The draw for both of these disposables is the same. With the airflow completely open they deliver a nice MTL draw that isn’t loose or tight. It’s a ‘medium’ MTL draw. Closing the airflow down progressively makes the draw tighter until it’s down to a tight MTL draw “fully closed”. I say fully closed in quotes because the airflow does not allow you to close off all three holes and stops you at the last hole so you’re forced to keep one hole open.

Flavors

Freeton F-Resin Pro F-Resin Max - 1

The F-Resin Max and F-Resin Pro are available in 10 flavors and both devices share the same flavor pool. This means that you can get the F-Resin Max in the same flavors that you can get the F-Resin Pro. They are available in both 2% and 5% nicotine salt strengths. For this review I was sent 8 of the flavors for both the F-Resin Pro and F-Resin Max.

I’m going to describe how each flavor tastes to me and what I think of them. Keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it, and vice-versa. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Rose Litchi

This is a very sweet and floral flavor that I don’t think that everybody will like, but I enjoy vaping on it. It’s a great combination of two flavors that go together well because both are floral tasting. You can taste both flavors at the same time on the inhale and the exhale and the balance is perfect with just the right amount of sweetness.

Energy Drink

This tastes like an energy drink, no doubt, I just don’t think it tastes like the energy drink that they were going for. It almost tastes like Red Bull but not quite. It’s an odd flavor but I’m a sucker for weird and interesting vape juices so I didn’t mind vaping this one at all. It’s heavy, slightly sour and sweet, and has that energy drink ‘kick’ to it.

Aloe Grape

The addition of aloe to grape makes for an interesting and flavorful combination here. It’s still primarily a sweet grape flavor, but the aloe adds another dimension to the taste that I’m a fan of. This is a great all day vape that is mellow and tasty and that I keep picking up for more.

Strawberry Banana

Ah yes, the tried-and-true strawberry banana flavor. This isn’t any better than any other strawberry banana that I’ve tried, but it’s certainly not any worse. It’s what you would expect; sweet strawberry and slightly candied banana. The combination is very ‘standard’ as far as I’m concerned and there’s nothing inherently special about this one. It’s a good strawberry banana vape though.

Cool Mint

Minty fresh but not so minty that you get a brain freeze. It’s not too sweet either and to me that makes it a great mint flavor. It’s really like chewing on a stick of mint gum because it has that same mint ‘bite’ to it. I like the balance of sweetness and mint and overall it’s a good mint flavor.

Gummy Bear

The name of this flavor says it all. Sweet gummy bears/gummy worms with an accurately recreated flavor. Vaping on this is like grabbing a handful of gummy bears. It’s very sweet, but only as sweet as the real thing would be. If you have a sweet tooth then you’ll like this flavor.

Pink Lemonade

This is one of the best lemonade flavors that I’ve tried because it is just so accurate. The lemonade flavor is recreated really well and tastes so good. You can taste the raspberry flavored lemonade instantly and there’s no question about what you’re vaping. If you handed someone this vape to try, they would know right away.

Blue Razz

Blue Razz is another staple flavor for disposable manufacturers and Freeton’s version is top-shelf. I’ve tried a lot of blue razz flavors so I don’t say this lightly, but this is definitely in my top 5 for blue razz flavors. It’s sweet, tasty, candied just the right amount, and all around just perfect. If you like your blue razz vapes then you should definitely give this one a try.

How do they vape?

Freeton F-Resin Pro F-Resin Max - 4

In a nutshell, these vape great. I mentioned in the design and build quality section that they feel more like pod vapes than disposables and that same sentiment carries over to how they vape. Vaping on these is more like vaping on a pod vape than anything else, and that’s high praise for a disposable device. Both the F-Resin Max and F-Resin Pro perform identically, so everything in this section applies to both devices.

I like the draw with the airflow open because it’s just right for MTL vaping. With the airflow open, I get warm vapor that is just right and dense draws that deliver a lot of vapor. Even though these are only 2%, I find them just as satisfying to vape on as 5% disposables. The satisfaction is there for sure, as is the throat hit. With that said, you might feel the same way as me so if you’re a 5% vaper, you might want to try the 2% strength.

The performance has honestly been flawless. The draw activation works so well that I didn’t even give it so much as a second thought. I pick these up, draw normally, and they start producing vapor. The draw activation is tuned appropriately so all it takes is drawing on them normally to get them to work.

I also have nothing but good things to say about the leak-resistance. I have not had any leaking from any of my 16 units, and I haven’t had them malfunction or fire by themselves. They’ve been well behaved for the whole time that I’ve used them, which at this point is close to a full month. They also last for a very long time on a single charge and charge quite quickly too.

One con to mention is that the draw starts to get noticeably weaker as the battery dies. When you notice that the draw isn’t as strong as it used to be, just charge it up and it will vape as good as new.
