Geek Bar Meloso Disposable Review: Light Device, Heavy Flavor

Geek Bar has been releasing lots of different disposable vapes suited for all different types of vapers. From color, to size and even shape, they have something for every type of vaper. When it comes to flavors, they have one of the largest selections of flavors of any of the major disposable brands. Some of their devices come in up to 30 flavors such as the Geek Bar B5000. 

Today, I will be reviewing and telling you about the Geek Bar Meloso. The Meloso is available in 10 different flavors, however it is very possible that they may release more in the future. It comes filled with 2ml of ejuice which will get you up to 600 puffs. It is only available in 20mg (2%).

The Geek Bar Meloso comes with a 500mAh battery that is not rechargeable, but I don’t believe there is a need for a rechargeable battery with such a small amount of ejuice and low puff count.

Design & Build Quality

The Geek Bar Meloso is a beautiful device that doesn’t have too much going on, but its simplicity is what shines. The device is made of two separate pieces and materials. The entire mouthpiece and body, made of plastic, are all one piece and create a very seamless transition from the mouthpiece to the body. Near the bottom of the device is a metal base that is less than 0.5mm thick. 

The duck-billed mouthpiece is very comfortable to use and allows for a secure draw. The opening of the mouthpiece does trap quite a bit of lint, so be cautious of that and keep it clean. 

The body is made of a very shiny plastic which can be a little slippery. The color of each device is made of a gradient mix of two colors. One of my favorite design aspects of this device is that the metal cap at the base of the device actually matches up with the bottom color of the gradient. For example, if the device is green on the top portion of the device and pink on the bottom, the metal cap at the base is also pink.

The logos printed on the Meloso are made using a soft touch material that acts as somewhat of a grip for the device. On the front of the device there is a large Geek Bar logo that is spread out throughout the entire front of the device. This leaves just enough room at the bottom for a small Meloso logo printed in all lowercase letters in white.

The back of the Geek Bar Meloso has a lot more going on. There is a small GB logo at the top, the flavor is printed in the middle, and the bottom of the device has a bunch of regulatory symbols which are all quite large to be honest and could have been printed maybe a little smaller. 

While still looking at the back of the Meloso, near the bottom of the device and just above the metal cap, you can see a small airflow hole. I am so used to airflow holes being on the bottom of the device and not on the back of a disposable, and so I found myself accidentally covering the hole quite frequently. 

On the bottom of the Meloso there are three holes in the metal cap. These are three small LED’s and in my opinion they are very easily concealable. 

Flavors

The Geek Bar Meloso is available in 10 flavors at the moment. Geek Bar is known for having some of the largest flavor selections amongst disposable brands, so it is possible that there may be more flavors to come. I can only hope for this to be the case as the flavors that I’ve tried have been amazing.

A lot of the flavors in this lineup have the word “ice” in their name. While some devices have a very strong cooling that significantly affects the warmth of the vapor and can even cool the vapor down too much, this is not the case with the Geek Bar Meloso. Most of the flavors have a subtle to medium strength cooling effect and the “ice” is not too overpowering. 

The Meloso seems to be going with a theme for this lineup – beverages. From fruity flavors including Strawberry Ice, Mango Ice, Blueberry Ice to even a Pink Lemonade and Cola Ice flavor there is something for all beverage lovers out there. The entire lineup of flavors are:

Of these, I received eight of the ten options. After trying these flavors, I wish I had received all of them as I am sure the Sour Apple and the Blueberry Sour Raspberry flavors are just as delicious as the rest.

I’m going to describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Watermelon Ice

I found the Watermelon Ice flavor to be one of the more subtle flavors. I suppose that is to be expected with a natural watermelon flavor. It is not overly sweet and the ice flavor cools down the vapor nicely. 

Mango Ice

This Mango Ice flavor offers a sweet, organic taste. It does have one of the stronger cooling sensations of the line. A great option for any mango fans out there.

Geek Juice

If you like juicy orange and sweet maraschino cherries, this is the vape for you. Geek Juice is a truly unique mix of flavors that is sure to surprise even the most versed vaper.

Blueberry Ice

I’m sensing a theme here with a truly natural-tasting line of disposables and this blueberry ice does not disappoint. Fresh picked blueberries with a very light cooling effect. I had a hard time putting this one down. 

Peach Ice

Delicious peach taste that is truly natural tasting. A tad sweet but very natural. The ice is very subtle in this one. If you love a good peach vape, I suggest picking up the Peach Ice flavor, you won’t be disappointed. 

How do they vape?

The Geek Bar Meloso is a relatively small device that packs a big punch. The dual mesh coils deliver a warm vapor that is enjoyable with each draw. I personally enjoy a warm draw which can be hard to find in disposables, but the draw from the Meloso is right there and more similar to that of a pod vape than to your usual disposables.

The flavor lineup is also really good. Out of the eight flavors I tried, all of the flavors were true and strong. There was no flavor drop in any of the ones I used and found the flavor to be as good at the end as it was in the beginning.

The tight MTL draw delivered by the Meloso is also just right and even as someone who prefers a looser draw, this device surprised me. 

Verdict

Geek Bar has outdone themselves with the Meloso. Thanks to the use of their dual mesh coils you can expect to get a tight MTL draw that is flavorful, warm, and satisfying. 

The Meloso is available in 10 different flavors. The flavor remains top notch from the first time you draw on the device, up to the very end of its battery life. 

The Geek Bar Meloso comes prefilled with 2ml of ejuice that will get you around 600 puffs. It has a built-in 500mAh battery that is not rechargeable. When the device runs out of battery, you just simply dispose of it.

I have nothing but positive things to say about the Meloso and truly enjoyed using them. The only thing wrong with the Meloso is that it doesn’t last forever! 

If you are looking for an easy to use device that delivers excellent flavor and warm vapor then I suggest picking up a few Meloso’s because one will not be enough.
