The bottom line

It’s been nice to use these Pyro 6000 disposables without having to think or worry about charging. They’ve provided rock-solid performance in the two-weeks that I’ve been using them and they’re still vaping like I just took them out of the box.

It’s impressive what advances in technology can do, even for vaping devices, and I’m excited to see how far this tech can go. Today, the Pyro 6000 offers 6000 puffs, but in the future I wouldn’t be surprised to see devices offering 10,000 puffs without needing to be recharged. This TOPOWER and Power Alpha tech is crazy good; you really can’t beat the convenience.

In addition to the impressive battery life and consistency, the flavor and wicking is similarly good. I only wish that I had the opportunity to try out a few more flavors, as the three that I received just weren’t enough to give good feedback on the flavor range as a whole.

For a device that doesn’t need charging, the Pyro 6000 is the longest-lasting option on the market right now. If convenience and portability are important to you, you’ll be very happy with what these disposables bring to the table. Highly recommended.

With the amount of disposable vapes being released every day, it should come as no surprise that I’m back with yet another disposable review. This time, I’m reviewing a disposable by a company called Pyro and, interestingly enough, it’s a bit different from other disposables out there right now.

Pyro’s 6000 disposables use a host of new tech that was recently unveiled by SMOORE (the parent company of VAPORESSO and FEELM); Power Alpha, TOPOWER, and Corex heating tech. But what does all of this mean?

To give it to you short and sweet, the Pyro 6000 comes filled with 13ml of ejuice and offers 6000 puffs per device — without needing to be recharged. The device is also quite compact, but packs a 2000mAh battery inside. At the moment, there are 31 flavors available.

If you’re looking for a long-lasting disposable that doesn’t need to be recharged, is the Pyro 6000 a device to get? I tested them to find out.

Design & Build Quality

  • Pyro 6000 Disposables - 2

The Pyro 6000 is much smaller than I expected for the battery size and amount of ejuice inside. With 13ml of ejuice and a 2000mAh battery, I was expecting a large disposable that sacrificed portability for convenience and puffs, but that’s not the case here.

Each device is surprisingly small at 86mm tall, 46mm wide, and 26mm thick. If I didn’t know the specs, but knew that they were not rechargeable, I would think that these disposables had a 500-800mAh battery and offered ~2500-3000 puffs.  However, if you look at the specs listed earlier, you’ll see that this is far from the case.

The box shaped body is rounded off to give it a nice feel in the hand. I can easily palm one of these to get a few discreet draws off without anyone being the wiser, which I like. You can easily take two or three of these out of the house with you at a time without being too overburdened by the size or weight.

The top portion of each Pyro 6000 is made of a shiny plastic that matches the color of the device. The mouthpiece is a wide oval that feels nice and natural to vape on, and it’s also tall enough that I can hold it with only my lips.

Pyro 6000 Disposables - 10

The body of each one is finished in a soft-touch coating that adds grip, as well as a nice texture. Like other soft-touch finishes, the body can get dirty pretty easily if your hands aren’t completely clean. Because these are meant to last for 6000 puffs, you will want to wipe them down from time to time to keep them looking fresh.

Most of the flavors are a different color, although some flavors share the same shade. Although I didn’t receive these specific flavors, some of the flavors like Cola Ice and Coffee have a patterned finish with bubbles and coffee beans. From what I can see, it looks pretty cool, but I have no idea what the texture/finish of these devices is like.

The only branding that is present on these devices is a large PYRO logo in matte silver lettering. Right next to the logo is the amount of puffs (6000), nicotine strength, and flavor.

The bottom portion of the Pyro 6000, like the top, is finished in shiny plastic. There are two holes on the bottom which are the airflow hole and the LED light. The LED is white and reasonably bright without being a searchlight.

Features

Pyro 6000 Disposables - 9

This is where we get into the real meat and potatoes of the Pyro 6000. These disposables use a host of tech that was recently unveiled by SMOORE, the parent company of VAPORESSO. These are Power Alpha and TOPOWER.

I don’t want to bore you with too much technical jargon, so it basically boils down to this; this tech means that the battery inside of the Pyro 6000 is a 2000mAh battery that is the same physical size as a 950mAh battery. It also allows the Pyro 6000 to use less power, and thus less ejuice, to provide the vaping experience that you would expect. Last but not least, the battery doesn’t discharge as quickly, so even if you don’t use the device, the battery isn’t going to drain and die.

When you add all of this up, you get a 2000mAh battery device that doesn’t need to be recharged, with 13ml of ejuice that can achieve 6000 puffs, all in the size of a 3000 puff device. It’s impressive stuff, really, and rather convenient too.

In addition to the Power Alpha and TOPOWER tech, the Pyro 6000 uses COREX mesh inside for better flavor and wicking capabilities. I’ve previously reviewed devices that use COREX mesh and the flavor was really good. It’s no different with these guys, with bold flavor and just the right level of warmth.

Pyro 6000 disposables are currently available only in 50mg/ml (5%) nicotine strength. For vapers who are used to lower strengths like 20mg/ml, you’ll have to look elsewhere as these will probably be too strong.

Flavors

Pyro 6000 Disposables - 1

Pyro’s 6000 puff disposables are seemingly coming out of the gates hot, with 31 flavors available at launch. Disappointingly, I was only sent three flavors to review, but the options look good for fruit lovers. There are a bunch of fruit mixes, along with some mint options, a tobacco flavor, a coffee flavor, and some drink flavors. There’s a variety of flavors available, so most vapers should be able to find one that interests them. The full list of available flavors is:

  • America Tobacco
  • Apple Strawberry Watermelon
  • Banana Melon
  • Cherry Raspberry Strawberry
  • Clear (No Flavor)
  • Coconut Milk
  • Coffee
  • Cola Ice
  • Cool Mint
  • Flavorless
  • Fresh Menthol
  • Grape Mangosteen
  • Green Apple Rainbow Blast
  • Kiwi Passion Fruit Guava
  • Mint Madness
  • Pineapple Apple Pear
  • Pineapple Orange
  • Pop Soda
  • Quad Apple
  • Raspberry Watermelon Ice
  • Red Apple
  • Smooth Mint
  • Strawberry Kiwi
  • Strawberry Mango
  • Strawberry Passion Fruit Apple
  • Strawberry Watermelon
  • Super Sour
  • Watermelon Bear Candy
  • Watermelon Cucumber
  • Watermelon Lush Ice
  • Watermelon Mint

For this review, I was sent Banana Melon, Watermelon Lush Ice, and Apple Strawberry Watermelon. I would have liked to try more of the flavors, so it sucks that I only received three. I’m always interested in the tobacco flavors that a company offers, so perhaps I’ll get to try that out in the future. If I do, I will update this review!

I’m going to describe how these three flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Watermelon Lush Ice

A good lush flavor is mandatory if you’re a disposable brand. After all, if you can’t nail one of the most popular flavors, what am I to expect from your other flavors? Thankfully, that’s not an issue here as this Watermelon Lush Ice flavor is super flavorful, accurate, and pleasant to vape on. It’s not candied, but instead features a natural watermelon flavor that is soft but sweet. There’s not a lot of ice here though, and I think it could be a bit more intense.

Banana Melon

I don’t think that I’ve ever tried this flavor mix before. It’s a bit weird to have these flavor together, but it’s actually good. It tastes like a straightforward banana flavor at first, but the exhale brings out the melon flavor which isn’t very strong, but adds something nice to the banana. It’s hard to taste the melon unless you’re aware that it’s there, but overall it’s a very good, subtle, and mellow flavor.

Apple Strawberry Watermelon

Three of the best fruits in one flavor; what’s not to love? All three flavors come together as one and it’s hard to taste the individual fruit flavors, but it’s very good. Strawberry seems to come through the most, with notes of watermelon and apple mixing in all throughout the inhale and exhale. This was the best of the three flavors that I tried, at least for me. It’s not too sweet, but rather just enough for a flavorful and fruity vape.

Performance

Pyro 6000 Disposables - 4

I received all three of my Pyro 6000 disposables in 5% nicotine strength. This is the only strength available, so unfortunately those who are used to using lower strength disposables will have to look elsewhere. These provide a smooth draw and are very satisfying, so they will certainly be too strong for anyone who isn’t used to vaping on 50mg/ml strength disposables.

I recently used another disposable by FEELM that features TOPOWER tech, and I have to say that it’s a similar experience. The FEELM devices that I tried were all ‘ice’ flavors, so that definitely affects the draw, whereas the ice in these flavors is non-existent, even in the Watermelon Lush Ice flavor. That said, the vapor feels warmer from these and even smoother. There’s a lot of flavor from each one, with a very smooth draw that I really like.

Like the FEELM disposables that I tried, these devices are consistent as anything. I’ve been puffing away on these for over two weeks now and they’re vaping as if I had just pulled them out of the box. At this point, I’ve definitely vaped a few thousand puffs on my Apple Strawberry Watermelon device and there’s no noticeable difference in the draw.

Adding on to this, I would have definitely had to charge these if they were any other disposable, so the TOPOWER tech is definitely doing something for longevity.

Long draws aren’t a problem for the COREX mesh coil and I never had any issues with dry hits. I’ve taken long draws one after another and still, no change in the taste, draw, or performance. The coil inside definitely wicks and vaporizes ejuice well and efficiently.

In addition to the good flavor and smooth draw, the restriction is perfect. It’s a tight MTL draw but it’s not hard to get them to activate. Simply pulling naturally on the mouthpiece is enough to get them going, while still providing a nice, tight draw.

Verdict

It’s been nice to use these Pyro 6000 disposables without having to think or worry about charging. They’ve provided rock-solid performance in the two-weeks that I’ve been using them and they’re still vaping like I just took them out of the box.
