Wotofo Skuare 6000 Review: A More Eco Friendly Disposable

Wotofo is a major brand when it comes to the vape world. If you have been vaping for a while, then you have probably either tried something from them, or at least heard of their name. They have been focusing a lot on disposables lately and you can tell that they are trying to cater to a wider audience by creating interesting takes on disposable devices. 

In the past, we have reviewed quite a few disposables from Wotofo, and they all offer something different. Most recently, we reviewed the Wotofo Refillo which is a disposable that does not come prefilled. Instead you must refill it yourself and once the coil burns out, you dispose of the device.

Today, I will be reviewing the Wotofo Skuare 6000 which is another super interesting concept for a disposable vape. This is a beginner level disposable that still performs like a high-end device. It is also the first disposable we have tried that comes with a removable 18650 battery. With the amount of disposables out there, I always wondered if there was some way that we could have the simplicity of a disposable but use our own batteries because this could have a huge impact on the environment, in a positive way.

The Wotofo Skuare 6000 comes pre-filled with 15ml of ejuice in either 20mg or 50mg nicotine strength and can deliver up to 6000 puffs. It has a removable 18650 battery that can be recharged with the Type-C charging port, or by using an external battery charger. The Skuare 6000 can be purchased either with or without the battery.

Design & Build Quality

The shape of the Wotofo Skuare 6000 is quite different from your standard tall and slender disposable. The Skuare 6000 has a box-mod style shape and it’s just that — shaped like a box. It feels very comfortable to hold the device and it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. It’s a good size with a height of 94.2mm, a width of 45mm, and a depth of 22mm.

It is made of food grade polycarbonate which makes the device sturdy and durable, while also remaining very lightweight. Even with the battery installed, the Skuare 6000 is still really light. 

The Skuare is translucent and this makes it easy to see the ejuice level through the device. This also allows the battery to be visible through the entire device as well. These are available in six bright colors: neon yellow, neon pink, neon orange, neon green, dark purple and dark green. These six colors correspond to the flavor that is inside of the device.

The design of the Skuare 6000 is pretty out there and in-your-face. Along with the brightly colored plastic, the front panel features a large ‘W’ in a cube-shaped outline, and ‘SKUARE 6000’ in large white font. It also has the words “Designed and manufactured by Wotofo” and “Powered by nexM Technology”. Near the bottom of the front panel you can also find the flavor. To put it simply, they have packed a lot of information on one panel and it looks crammed. All of the other sides of the device have no printing, so they could have made it look less cluttered by putting some of the writing on the other sides.

The front panel of the device (which is the printed side) is removable and allows you to access the battery compartment. To remove the battery cover, you can use the indented section at the bottom of the cover and use your fingernail to pop the cover off. The cover is magnetic and does wiggle a little bit but it will not come off on its own. 

The batteries may be a little tricky to get out but I found using my nail to get under the battery worked for me. You can also smack the device on your palm to get the battery to pop out. The positive terminal is spring loaded which ensures a good connection with the battery, while also preventing any ripping of the battery sleeve.

Along the top and bottom of the Skuare 6000 there is a carbon fiber design embossed in the plastic. This gives it a neat look while also adding a little bit of grip to the device. It would have been even better if this carbon fiber design was also on the sides of the device for even more grip. 

The mouthpiece is removable and located at the top of the device. The flat oval mouthpiece is comfortable to use and due to it being removable can also be easy to clean. You can also turn the mouthpiece for even more comfortability and ease of use. If you feel more comfortable holding the Skuare 6000 sideways to vape, you can orient the drip tip appropriately. The same goes for if you want to vape on it while holding it with the front facing you.

The right side of the Skuare 6000 is where you will find the charging port. When you are on-the-go, you can quickly recharge your device using the Type-C charging port. However, I strongly suggest not using this unless you absolutely have to. I strongly suggest that you use an external battery charger to recharge your batteries.

There is a small white LED located inside of the device that will light up when you draw on the device or insert a battery. It also blinks as the battery is almost dead, letting you know that it’s time to recharge.

Battery

The Wotofo Skuare 6000 is the first disposable I have tried that comes with an external battery. As a safety measure when dealing with external batteries and charging,, I strongly suggest that you use an external battery charger to charge your battery and only use the Type-C charging port when you are in a pinch. 

Removing the battery is very easy. Use your fingernail to get underneath the small opening at the bottom of the front panel (with the printed text), and then pull out the battery. 

I would also like to mention that you should not use the battery that comes with the device on any other devices you may own. There is no information on the maximum safe amperage or continuous discharge rating for this battery on Wotofo’s website, so using this battery on a high wattage device could lead to injury. To be safe, only use this battery with the Skuare 6000.

I found that I got between 2-3 days of usage off of a fully charged battery. However, I would suggest charging the battery daily or at least every other day as the flavor quickly drops off when the device’s battery drops below 50%.

The Wotofo Skuare 6000 has a few battery safety features built-in, such as reverse battery protection, short-circuit protection and over-charging protection. 

Flavors

The flavor of the Skuare 6000 is very potent and intense. It is not diluted at all and provides excellent flavor. There are twelve different flavor options that mostly include fruit flavors, but there are also two ice cream flavors and two iced flavors.

For this review, I was sent 5 flavors to try. I’m going to describe how each flavor tastes to me and what I think of them. Keep in mind that because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it, and vice-versa. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Gummy Bear

This candied flavor is not too sweet and does indeed taste like gummy bear candies. The flavor lasts quite a while and the vapor is very dense. I like that it isn’t overly sweet and I consider this flavor to be one to be one of my favorites.

Strawberry Ice Cream

I personally was not a fan of this one. The cream is very strong and sweet, and the strawberry flavor tastes very artificial. Vaping on this one too much makes me feel sick, so I am going to pass on this one. 

Sour Apple

If you like sour Granny Smith apples then this is the disposable for you. It is not overly sweet but tastes very organic. It’s just the right amount of sweet and the flavor is full but not too strong. It’s delicious and absolutely my favorite flavor of the bunch. 

Grape Ice

This flavor tastes exactly like a grape freezie or otter pop. The flavor is quite dense and just the right amount of sweetness. There is no menthol or ice in this flavor and it is quite yummy. 

Watermelon Cantaloupe Honeydew

Melons, melons and more melons. This flavor has them all and it is so refreshing and tastes really good. Again, another potent flavor but the flavor itself is very light and not too sweet. I highly recommend this to those who like melons. 

How Do They Vape?

The Skuare 6000 disposables deliver a satisfying and tight MTL draw. The draw delivers dense vapor that is also nice and warm. These come in 20mg and 50mg nicotine strengths, but I was sent the 20mg strength for this review. I would usually go for the higher nicotine strength disposables, however with the Skuare 6000 I was pleasantly surprised to find that I wasn’t looking for a higher nicotine vape to satisfy my urge.

I found that the Skuare 6000 disposable reallys performs like a high end device, but without all the worry of buttons, menus, or maintenance. The one con that I did find while trying out these disposables was that when the battery gets to below around 50%, the flavor drops significantly. As I stated previously, I would try to keep the battery charged for the best flavor.

As someone who takes long draws on my devices, I did not have any dry or burnt hits. The nexM coils perform very well in these devices and keep up with chain-vaping well.

Verdict

The Skuare 6000 disposable is a little bigger than your standard disposable, but still remains light and portable. It’s a super simple and easy-to-use device as there are no buttons, menus or maintenance to worry about. The Skuare 6000 delivers a tight MTL draw that is just right, and the warmth of the vapor is also perfect.

The flavors of these disposables are also quite potent and the flavors are mostly good.  However, as the battery begins to die, you will notice a drop in flavor. 

I am a fan of being able to easily see my ejuice level and it’s super easy with this device as the entire thing is translucent. If you remove the battery door then you can even see a little window into the juice area. This is different from other disposables where you won’t know if you’re out of ejuice until you end up with a dry or burnt hit, so it’s definitely a useful feature.

But the best thing about this device is the fact that the battery can be removed. This gives you the option of switching out the battery when it dies, and also lets you remove the battery to more easily dispose of the device, which helps the environment. We all love disposable devices, but sometimes we forget how many of these little guys are ending up on the streets or in landfills. To me, being able to remove the battery is a game changer. I would even go as far to say all disposables should come with a removable battery.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the Skuare 6000’s and I have no intention of putting them away until they are out of ejuice. If you are looking for an inexpensive device that can perform like a high end device, I would suggest picking one up and trying it for yourself.
