Our Verdict

Wotofo’s Refillo disposables are refillable, rechargeable, and they have a nice design and quality of build. However, all five of my Refillo’s delivered muted flavor and this made it a struggle to continue using them. It’s unexpected that a disposable using nexMESH coils would produce flavor like this, but it’s the sad truth of my experience with the Refillo’s.

Are there positives to these disposables? Yes, but I don’t think they outweigh the muted flavor. One positive is that the mouth to lung draw is nice. I also get a good throat hit from these with 35mg nicotine salt eliquids. Plus, the battery and coils seem to last a while without burning out and it can be recharged multiple times before having to be thrown away.

It’s possible that my poor experience was due to these being the first batch of Refillo’s, but I can only make recommendations based on my testing, so I would suggest passing on the Wotofo Refillo’s. You’re better off buying a pod vape which will give you better flavor and the ability to throw out the pods instead of the entire device. If you’re in the market for a disposable though, Wotofo’s other disposables are great and I recommend checking them out via the links in the intro paragraph of this review.

Wotofo has been cranking out disposable vapes like there’s no tomorrow. It seems like they are trying to cover every type of vaper possible with their disposables, so instead of releasing just one, each of their disposables caters to the needs of a different type of vaper.

Some of Wotofo’s disposables that we’ve reviewed recently include the Wotofo Mega, Wotofo Airy, Wotofo Mini+, Wotofo Wafer, and Wotofo Ultra. Each of these disposables are different from each other; some come with a ton of ejuice, some are ultra portable, and some are for DL vapers. It’s worth checking them out to see if one of them may fit what you’re looking for in a disposable.

Today I’m going to review Wotofo’s Refillo disposables. These are unique among disposables because they do not come prefilled with any ejuice. Instead, the Refillo is meant to be filled with your own ejuice. It also has a Type-C charging port so it can be recharged when the battery dies. Basically, Wotofo has made a disposable pod vape.

Design & Build Quality

  • Wotofo Refillo Disposable Review - 2

This is a handy little guy! The Refillo isn’t too much different from typical small disposable vapes and it looks much the same. It’s rather small with a height of 96.mm and a diameter of 16mm. It’s among the smaller disposable vapes that I’ve seen and used, and as such it’s very portable and easy to carry around.

The Refillo has a tube shape and it’s made of stainless steel and PCTG. The body is covered in a high quality sticker that matches the color of the plastic tank/mouthpiece. It comes in 12 colors, 5 of which are gradients and 7 which are solid colors. Since this is a refillable disposable, the color obviously does not correspond to the flavor inside as it doesn’t come prefilled with any ejuice.

“REFILLO” is featured in large letters on the body of the device. On the opposite side, there’s a small “Mesh Coil by nexM Technology”, and “Designed and Manufactured by WOTOFO”.

The mouthpiece curves on both sides to come to a flat and thin wedge. There’s nothing wrong with it and it’s as comfortable as other mouthpieces that I’ve used. The mouthpiece is one piece with the tank and is made of a transparent PCTG plastic. This tank is tinted to match the color of the sticker on the body.

To fill the Refillo, there’s a rubber stopper on the side of the tank that is labeled “OPEN”. It opens from the top of the bung to reveal a round fill hole. This hole isn’t very large, but it was big enough to fit my 100ml bottle tips and 60ml bottle tips, no problem. The Refillo can hold up to 3ml of ejuice in the tank.

It’s odd to be filling up a disposable, but I found that it felt like I was using a pod vape with the coil built into the pod. If you think about it, that’s really what this is. But instead of replacing the pod, you replace the entire device when it’s done. It’s still wasteful (an inherent feature of disposables), but less wasteful than disposables that can’t be refilled.

Wotofo Refillo Disposable Review - 6 Mouthpiece

Once the tank is filled, it’s easy to see how much ejuice is inside thanks to the transparent plastic. Although it has a color tint, it’s crystal clear and you can see the built-in coil and ejuice level perfectly. Speaking of the coil, the Refillo has a built-in 1.6Ω coil. This makes it best suited to high-strength nicotine salt eliquids, but regular ejuices (even higher strength ones) will work with it too.

Like other disposables, the Refillo is draw activated and does not have any buttons. To vape, just draw on the mouthpiece. There is no adjustable airflow on the Refillo, but the draw is a tight mouth-to-lung.

In addition to being refillable, the Refillo is also rechargeable and comes with a 400mAh built-in battery. Maybe Wotofo should have called this the RefilloRecharge-O. You know what, on second thought, I’m glad that they didn’t. The Refillo recharges with Type-C charging and the charging port is located on the bottom of the device.

Performance

Wotofo Refillo Disposable Review - 1

Unlike our other disposable vape reviews, I had to skip the “Flavors” section for obvious reasons. The Refillo is much more similar to a pod vape than to a disposable due to its specifications, but the performance isn’t quite the same. What I mean by this is that although the Refillo has qualities that other disposables don’t, the flavor and performance aren’t any better than other disposables that I’ve used. In fact, it’s worse.

When I saw that these came with a mesh coil by nexMESH, I was expecting the flavor to be out of this world. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. I received five of these Refillo’s for review and I used every single one of them, hoping that some of them were just duds and that’s why the flavor wasn’t great. But all five of my Refillo’s gave me the same muted flavor and it was tough to continue using them when I had better options all around me.

To make matters worse, the first one that I used developed a burnt taste within the first 30 puffs. No, I didn’t fill it up and start vaping on it right away either. I filled it and let it sit for 15 minutes before I tried vaping on it and, at first, it was fine. But after 30 puffs or so, I started tasting a burnt taste and I couldn’t continue using it.

With the other four Refillo’s that I used, I didn’t encounter this problem again. However, the flavor never improved. I used the same ejuice that I used in other pod vapes and the flavor doesn’t come through as well with the Refillo. Overall, I’m not impressed.
