The bottom line
While most disposable brands focus on high-nicotine-strength products and high puff counts, Cyclone Pods has gone in the opposite direction with a completely nicotine-free disposable that feels satisfying to use and which offers a decent 20,000 puffs. Rather than the quantity of puffs, it feels like Cyclone Pods focused on the quality of the puffs instead.
What I really like about the Gust Pro is that you can almost forget youโre vaping without nicotine. The experience feels very similar to vaping on a โregularโ disposable, especially in turbo mode. The warm vapor and throat hit are surprisingly good for a nicotine-free vape, which will no doubt be helpful for users trying to lower or eliminate their nicotine intake.
As for the drawbacks, there are a few, but theyโre all relatively minor. The device is fairly bulky, charging takes longer than I would like for an 850mAh battery, and the lack of pass-through charging really hurts if your device is completely dead.
Some of the flavors, at least the ones I tried, are also quite subtle, and some vapers might feel that they arenโt quite sweet enough (Blue Razz and Cherry Blast, Iโm looking at you).
But the bottom line is this: if youโre looking to go from vaping with nicotine to nicotine-free, the Gust Pro is one of the best options that Iโve tried so far. Plus, they back up their nicotine-free vapes with actual lab testing data, which isnโt something that most vaping brands can say. Highly recommended.

Product Overview
Founded in 2018, Cyclone Pods is a vape brand from Santa Monica, California. Like other vape brands, they offer pouches, pod vapes, and disposable vapes.
But what sets Cyclone Pods apart is that all of their products are nicotine-free. You donโt have to just take their word for it either; every product and every batch is independently tested by an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory in St. Paul, Minnesota, with published lab test results available, so you know exactly what youโre inhaling.
Their flagship product, the Gust Pro, is a nicotine-free disposable that offers up to 20,000 puffs from its 20ml of prefilled ejuice, two mode settings, and four levels of cooling intensity. It also has a real-time battery and e-juice display, along with an 850mAh battery and Type-C charging.
I spent two weeks puffing away on five different flavors, and in this review, Iโm going to tell you everything you need to know.ย

Design & Build Quality
One of the main selling points of the Gust Pro is that itโs a nicotine-free disposable, but you would never know from looking at it.
It has a definite โdisposable lookโ, with a chunky rectangular body and rounded off corners, and it feels like Iโm holding any other disposable vape. This is great, because if youโre trying to switch from nicotine-containing vapes to a nicotine-free one, you want the experience to feel the same, and that includes the physical experience of holding and using the product. The Gust Pro accomplishes this handily.
Size-wise, itโs a bit tall and chunky at 103mm tall, 51.5mm wide, and 31mm deep, so concealing it in my palm is a no-go. Itโs still portable enough, though I found carrying more than one around with me at a time to be too much.
The design is very Apple-esque, which is to say that itโs modern, clean, simple, and attractive. No matter the flavor, the main body of the device is white, with a small Cyclone Pods logo printed in black, and the flavor printed in an appropriate color.
Blue Razz is printed in purple, Pina Colada in yellow, and Cherry Blast in red. This small pop of color looks great, and also makes it easy to tell at a glance which flavor youโre picking up (which is useful if youโre using five flavors in rotation, like I am).
The display is, like the rest of the device, modern, clean, and simple. Itโs a color display, with each readout in a different color: mode, remaining e-juice, ice level, and battery life. The button above the display changes the output mode, while the button below the display changes the ice level.
Despite the all-plastic construction, the Gust Pro feels solid. I particularly like the soft, flexible mouthpiece, which can be bent back and forth easily. It feels great to use, but it also picks up pocket lint and dust, which is the downside.
Okay. So it looks good, and the build quality is solid, but what else does it bring to the table?
Featuresย
If youโre thinking of getting the Gust Pro, the fact that itโs a nicotine-free vape is likely a factor. But what sets the Gust Pro apart from other nicotine-free vapes out there? During my research, one thing stood out: the availability of independent, third-party lab testing.
Cyclone Pods doesnโt just say its products are lab-tested and expect you to believe it; you can view the full lab report on their website. Every batch is independently tested by an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory in St. Paul, Minnesota, for nicotine, diacetyl, vitamin E acetate,ย heavy metals, pesticide residues, and microbiologicals (bacteria, yeast, mold).
While, to be fair, most vapes from reputable brands wonโt contain any of the above aside from nicotine, itโs nice to see it shown and proven, with the results easily available.
If youโre particular about your vapes, Cyclone Pods give you the data to work off of. All thatโs inside the Gust Pro is Vegetable Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, and food-grade flavorings.
Display, Modes, & Ice Control
The display on the Gust Pro neatly packs a lot of information and features. It has two modes, normal and Turbo, which can be selected using the button above the display.ย
The e-juice level is at the top of the display in yellow, while the battery percentage is at the bottom of the display in green.
In the middle of the display, in blue, is the ice level. There are four ice levels: off, 1, 2, and 3. The ice level can be changed by pressing the button just below the display.
Flavors
The Gust Pro comes in 14 flavors. There are 12 fruit flavors, with menthol and mint flavors available as well. Since all of these flavors have adjustable ice levels, you can make them as icy (or not) as you like.ย
Iโm going to describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I donโt like a flavor, it doesnโt mean you wonโt like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.
Blue Razz
This blue razz flavor isnโt quite as sweet or bold as Iโm used to, and it tastes subtler than other blue razz flavors Iโve tried. That said, itโs the flavor that I used the most out of the five that I received, and thatโs because it still tastes great. As long as youโre not expecting a strong blue razz and are prepared for a lighter, more laid-back flavor, itโs nice to vape on.
Cherry Blast
Like Blue Razz, Cherry Blast is subtle and light, so it tastes more natural than your typical vape flavor. Just like a real cherry isnโt sugary sweet, neither is this flavor. The flavor really comes through most on the exhale, which keeps me puffing for more.
Miami Mint
This Miami Mint flavor is really good. Itโs a sweet mint, and it only gets better when you turn the ice level up. It has a refreshing taste and, surprisingly, the flavor is more bold than the previous two fruit flavors. If you like sweet mint flavors, I would definitely give this one a try.
Pina Colada
A little bit of coconut and a little bit of pineapple flavor make this one of the best flavors that I’ve tried; nicotine-free or not. Itโs stronger and more flavorful than the other Gust Pro flavors I tried, and really hits just the right level of sweetness.
Mango Peach Fusion
The fusion of mango and peach is excellent in this flavor. Some draws, I feel like the mango is stronger, but then with other draws, the peach comes in more strongly. The two flavors are so perfectly balanced that itโs hard to really say which one is stronger, and I think theyโre actually pretty even. Delicious fruit flavor, and itโs one that Iโll keep vaping on for as long as it lasts.
How long do they last?
I couldnโt find the battery capacity for the Gust Pro listed anywhere, so I took matters into my own hands and opened one up to get a look at the cell. Unsurprisingly, the cell is labeled with an 850 mAh capacity, which makes sense given how long these last on a charge.
Using Turbo mode almost exclusively, a charge on the Gust Pro lasts me for 2-3 days. Thatโs decent battery life, and given that an 850mAh cell isnโt large by any means, good usage time for the battery capacity.
These are rated for up to 20,000 puffs, but like most vapes with different modes, thatโs probably only going to be the case if you use normal mode. Using Turbo mode will likely cut the number of puffs down significantly, so keep that in mind.
Charging from a dead battery takes 55 minutes, which is lengthy for the battery capacity. Unfortunately, thereโs no pass-through charging either, so youโll want to keep a backup vape handy, since you canโt use these while they charge.
How do they vape?
For being nicotine-free, these hit surprisingly well. In normal mode, itโs a more chill draw with less intensity than a vape with nicotine would have. The throat hit isnโt all that there, and the vapor is very smooth and easy to inhale.
However, if you want a draw that will make you almost forget that these are nicotine-free, turning on turbo mode will do just that. Turbo takes the intensity up a notch, with much warmer, heavier vapor and a respectable throat hit, too. If I tried one of these in turbo mode without knowing that they were nicotine-free, Iโd probably think it was just lower nicotine and not zero strength.
The ice adjustment works really well and adds another level of variety to each flavor. With the ice off, itโs just a regular flavor. But as the ice level is increased, from 1 to 2, and then to 3, the icy chill of the draw gets stronger and stronger. Level one is just a touch of cooling, level two is a decent chill, and level three really brings the ice.
Verdict

Rather than the quantity of puffs, it feels like Cyclone Pods focused on the quality of the puffs instead.
