Thanks to disposable e-cigarettes, switching to vaping has never been easier. Disposable vapes require no maintenance and they come prefilled with ejuice which means that you don’t have to worry about filling them up. Once they run out of ejuice you can just toss them out. Disposable vapes are usually draw-activated too so they’re super simple to use. Just inhale on the mouthpiece and you’re vaping.

The Elf Bar is one such disposable vape. Each Elf Bar comes prefilled with 1.4ml of 5% (50mg) strength nicotine salt ejuice. Elf Bars are colorful and compact and come in 8 different flavors. According to their description, each one should be good for over 300 puffs.

These disposables were sent to me by Heaven Gifts for the purpose of this review.

Design & Build Quality

  • Elf Bar Disposable Design

Elf Bar’s disposables are made entirely of plastic. It’s got a neat look to it and looks kind of like a toy (which, now that I think about it, I’m not so sure is a great thing). There are two layers to the shell: an outside clear shell and a colored inner shell. The clear outer plastic shell gives each Elf Bar a shiny appearance that looks good. Each Elf Bar is colored to match the flavor. From how bright the colors are, this already isn’t a very discreet disposable.

In addition to the bright colors, each Elf Bar has an extremely bright LED that lights up when you take a puff. The clear outer shell lights up around the bottom of the device like a ring. It’s seriously bright, so much so that you can use one of these as a flashlight in the dark. Vaping at night time in public? Yeah, people are going to notice.

As for size, each Elf Bar is pretty small at 90mm tall, 20mm wide, and 13mm thick. They’re shorter than other rectangle shaped disposables but they’re slightly thicker.

They have a rounded shape that tapers and slims near the mouthpiece which makes them nice to vape on. These are as portable as a vape gets and I personally carried all 8 flavors with me wherever I went. 8 Elf Bars fit comfortably in my sweater pocket and they didn’t weigh too much either. Maybe carrying all 8 around was overkill but hey, what’s done is done!

Each Elf Bar comes in its own individual package. They’re prefilled with 1.4ml of nicotine salt eliquid in 5% strength (50mg). Currently this is the only strength that they come in.

The description states that each one should last for over 300 puffs and while I haven’t been keeping exact count, each one definitely lasts a long time. I used each flavor exclusively for about a day and none of them have run out of ejuice yet. I would say that their 300+ puff rating seems to be accurate and one of these can last you anywhere from 1 to 2 days depending on how much you use it.

Flavors

  • Elf Bar Disposable Grape

Elf Bars come in 8 different flavors and I was sent all of them for this review. The flavors on offer are: Banana Ice, Lush Ice, Peach Ice, Grape, Cool Mint, Coffee Latte, Blueberry, and Mango. In general I really enjoyed most of these flavors but a few of them could use some tweaking.

Banana Ice: Banana with a light touch of cooling. This tastes like a banana candy and it’s just right in terms of sweetness. The banana flavor is too strong; it’s a nice level of sweetness. Really smooth vape. If you’re a fan of banana candies then you’ll enjoy this.

Lush Ice: Lush Ice is a melon flavor with menthol cooling. I think that this is supposed to be watermelon but it tastes like a mix of watermelon and honeydew/cantaloupe. It’s a tasty flavor but I just can’t put my finger on the exact fruits. Like Banana Ice this isn’t too sweet and rather balanced. It’s similarly smooth and nice to vape on.

Peach Ice: This is a flavor that could use a boost. The peach notes are far too light and just barely noticeable. I can taste the peach, it’s just very toned down. The menthol is also very light. This is a flavor that could use some reworking. Although the little peach that I can taste is quite good, it needs to be stronger. If the peach flavor was any lighter this would be flavorless.

Grape: This Elf Bar flavor is a little weak like Peach Ice. It’s not very strong but it’s stronger than Peach Ice. I like the grape flavoring but it doesn’t taste natural. This flavor could use some strengthening as well and it would definitely be better. A more natural grape flavor would also be nice.

Cool Mint: This is one of my least favorite mint flavors that I’ve tried. It’s a sweet mint but like the other ‘Ice’ flavors, the cooling isn’t very strong. I can do without the menthol on the fruit flavors but for a flavor that’s supposed to be mint, I expect a strong cooling sensation. This flavor actually made me feel sick to vape on so I can’t recommend it. Yuck.

Coffee Latte: This one is spot on — it tastes just like a Coffee Latte. Very strong coffee notes are a highlight of this flavor. It’s very rich and bold while still remaining smooth to vape on. This flavor is a real winner and if you’re a coffee lover you should try it.

Blueberry: This Elf Bar flavor is nice, sweet blueberries. It’s not tangy like a blueberry candy would be but it’s sweeter than a natural blueberry flavor would taste. It’s very enjoyable to vape on and is just sweet enough to hit the spot. This is one of my favorite Elf Bar flavors.

Mango: This Mango flavor is really well done. It’s somewhere between natural and a mango gummy candy. The balance is perfect. Some Mango flavors are overdone and way too strong but this one is just right. Sweet, smooth and tasty.

Performance & Vapor QualityElf Bar Disposable Blueberry 2

I can’t complain about the performance. All 8 Elf Bars that I was sent for review are still working and I haven’t had any leaking or auto-firing issues at all. The draw activation works perfectly every time and I don’t have to pull too hard to get a draw. That alone makes these better than a lot of disposables.

The 5% nicotine salt ejuice gives a nice throat hit. It’s not too aggressive or strong and hits just right. It’s quite satisfying to pull one of these out and take a few puffs. I can see these being especially attractive to someone trying to quit smoking because they’re easy to use and satisfy nicotine cravings wonderfully.

I didn’t keep a good track of my puffs for each Elf Bar but I did use each one heavily for a day. None of them has died yet so that’s a good sign of a long usage life-span. If you don’t vape heavily I can see one of these lasting 2 or even 3 days.

Verdict

Taking all things into consideration, Elf Bars are pretty good disposables. The bright colored shell and unnecessarily bright LED make them less discreet but that’s the only major problem.

I like that their flavors aren’t too sweet and that they don’t overwhelm you. They’re actually more balanced than I expected and the majority of them are really nice to vape on. A few flavors could use some work like the Peach Ice and Cool Mint but 6/8 is pretty good.

  • What a rip off elf pen 600puffs lucky if I got 100 puffs such a rip of don’t believe what they say you do not get anywhere near 600 puffs going trading standards

  • Elf Bar disposables are probably the lowest capacity / shortest life of all the disposables I’ve tried, which is at least six brands. They absolutely do not last 600 puffs, it’s an utter fabrication, even getting half of that is out of the question. Other brands, especially 88Vape, last longer. The 88Vapte disposables last me two days each, whereas the Elfbar last less than one. I actually counted on my last Elfbar and I got 173 uses.
