Elfbar primarily makes disposable vapes and they have all sorts of different options available. I recently reviewed their BC3500 & BC5000 disposables and I ended up really liking the performance and flavors that they offered. The Elfbar 3500 and Elfbar 5000 disposables sport a similarly huge ejuice capacity of 10.5ml and 13ml respectively, and come in a bunch of new flavors that are different from their BC series disposables.

On top of their large ejuice capacities, the Elfbar 5000 is also rechargeable through a Type-C port, so you can vape every bit of ejuice out of it without worrying about it dying before you finish it.

For me, the most important things that I look for in a disposable are the flavors, the ejuice capacity, the draw, and performance. So do these disposables live up to my high standards and are they worth purchasing?

Design & Build Quality

The Elfbar 3500 and Elfbar 5000 sport a tube shape that is typical of disposable vapes. However, these aren’t your typical disposables. They’re much larger than average and more similar in size to a vape pen than a disposable.

The Elfbar 3500 is 108mm tall with a 23mm diameter, while the Elfbar 5000 is 112mm tall with a 25mm diameter. This makes them less portable than typical disposables, but it’s still not a problem to carry one or two with you at a time. Taking 3 or more disposables out with you on the go will require a bag, or at the very least a fanny pack, and who wants to wear one of those?

Apart from the size, there’s a few more key differences between the 3500 and 5000. The 3500 comes pre-filled with 10.5ml of ejuice and packs a 1500mAh battery that will get you 3500 puffs. The 5000 comes pre-filled with 13ml of ejuice and packs a 650mAh battery. The battery is smaller, but the 5000 is rechargeable through a Type-C port on the bottom of the device. This recharging capability allows it to deliver 5000 puffs. Whether you choose the 3500 or the 5000, that’s a lot of puffs from a single disposable.

Both the 3500 and 5000 feature a soft touch body with a shiny plastic mouthpiece and base. The soft touch body features a colorway with a 2 color fade that looks very vibrant. The color sort of indicates the flavor, but it can be hard to tell the flavor just based off of the color alone. Thankfully, the flavor is printed on the body, along with an ELFBAR logo and the model (3500 or 5000).

Both models come filled with 5% (50mg) nicotine salt ejuice and at the time of writing this review, this is the only strength that they offer. Whenever you take a puff, an LED will light up on the bottom of the device. It’s a white LED on the 3500 and a blue LED on the 5000. This LED isn’t too bright and it can easily be covered with your palm if you’re worried about being discreet.

These are draw activated and there are no buttons at all. Simple pull on the mouthpiece to start vaping. These are as simple to use as any other disposable.

Much like the BC3500 and BC5000, I’m a fan of the soft touch body and color fade. They look really good and they feel nice in my hand. The build quality is also excellent. The solid construction and nice look makes me apprehensive about tossing these when the ejuice is finished, they’re just such nice disposables! That’s saying something about the build quality — it’s top notch.

Flavors

The Elfbar 3500 and Elfbar 5000 each come in 12 different flavors. There is some flavor overlap between them (like Banana Milk and Peach Mango Guava) but there are also some flavors that are unique to each model. I was sent 14 flavors to review. While this doesn’t encompass all of the available flavors it’s enough to have a good idea of if these are worth purchasing.

I will describe how each one tastes to me and what I think of the flavors. If I like a flavor, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you will like it, and vice versa. This is just my opinion.

Coconut Melon

This is a totally unique flavor that I’ve never seen before today. It doesn’t sound too appealing to be honest, but once you try it it’s not half bad. I don’t taste each taste separately, instead it’s a 50/50 mix of coconut and melon with a slight hint of menthol. The flavors go together really well, as if they were meant to mix.

Peach Mango Guava

The peach is lost in this flavor and it’s mostly mango and guava that come through. Guava is the most prominent, followed closely by mango. It’s a strong and sweet vape that tastes very tropical and refreshing. The vapor is also very thick, like drinking a thick juice.

Juicy Peach

This is hands down one of my favorite flavors out of them all. This tastes exactly like fuzzy peach rings. It’s perfectly sweet and I can vape on this all day long. Why gain the calories from the candy when you can vape on this instead?

Banana Milk

I’m not a big fan of this flavor. It’s very rich and almost nauseating. I’m not particularly fond of any ejuice with milk flavors though, so it was to be expected. The banana is strong, but an equally strong and thick milk flavor comes through that totally kills this flavor for me.

Blue Razz Lemonade

This is expertly done and it’s a really tasty flavor. Blue raspberry and lemonade pair perfectly for a mildly sweet and delicious vape. Far from tasting artificial, the flavors are natural and pleasant. This is another one of my top flavors.

Grape Energy

This flavor is oddly good. It tastes like a sort of altered RedBull. It definitely has an energy drink taste to it, mixed with grape. I can’t quite put my finger on the taste but it’s oddly likeable. You’ll have to taste this one and decide for yourself.

Mango Peach Watermelon

Mango is the most prominent flavor, followed by a subtle mix of peach and watermelon. I would like the peach to be stronger but it’s still quite tasty. Another good fruit flavor here.

Pineapple Mango Orange

This has a whole bunch of tropical fruits bunched all together and the mix tastes super good. Mango is the weakest flavor but still definitely discernible. Pineapple and orange are equally strong. They all come together for a refreshing, tasty, and fruity vape. Sweetness is a medium so it can definitely be vaped all day.

Strawberry Kiwi

As the name says, this is a strawberry and kiwi blend. The kiwi is a bit stronger than the strawberry and comes through from the inhale all the way to the exhale. Strawberry takes a backseat to the kiwi but I can still taste it. Sweetness is medium. Overall it’s a nice fruity flavor.

Berry Peach

I’m really liking the fruit flavors from Elfbar. Berry peach is a combination of mixed berries and peach. I taste some blueberry and raspberry, and the peach flavor is strongest on the exhale. Sweetness is medium to heavy, but still can be vaped all day. This is a flavor I always go back to.

Russian Cream

There’s a heavy milk/cream flavor here that just makes me gag. There’s a creamy sweetness that some might enjoy but I’m not one of them. I couldn’t vape this flavor more than a few puffs so that’s my verdict on this one.

Kiwi Passionfruit Guava

I taste kiwi, closely followed by guava. The passion fruit flavor is missing but I like the kiwi and guava together. Guava is the strongest flavor but it’s delicious and natural tasting. The sweetness is just right and I can vape this flavor all day without issue.

Sour Apple

Mmmm. This flavor is so good! It’s green apples with a touch of sourness that is just perfect. I wish more companies made green apple flavors like this. If you like apple flavors you’re going to love this one, guaranteed.

Jelly Bear

This flavor is too sweet to vape on constantly but it does taste really good. If the sweetness was brought down a couple notches I would really love it. It tastes like gummy bears mixed with some other chewy candies. If you have a sweet tooth this will hit the spot.

How Do They Vape?Elfbar 3500 Disposables 4

Just last week I reviewed Elfbars BC3500 and BC5000 disposables. What I noticed is that aside from the different form factor and flavors, these 3500 and 5000 disposables vape very much the same. That’s to say that I found the performance to be very good for a disposable vape.

These only come in 5% nicotine salt strength so they are going to be best suited to heavy smokers trying to quit or those who vape heavily. The throat hit and draw are heavy and strong and they deliver a very satisfying vaping experience.

One thing that I really like about these is that menthol is absent from most of the flavors. I’m not particularly fond of menthol vapes and most disposables these days tend to have menthol in them so this is nice to see.

I get a loose mouth to lung draw which is perfect for those looking to quit smoking. It’s not too tight that you will struggle to get a draw, but it’s also not too loose either. It’s a good middle ground.

One con I have to mention is that during the writing of this review, one of my 5000 disposables started auto firing but stopped after about 5 seconds. After this it wouldn’t fire any longer. I tried to charge it but to no avail. None of the other disposables gave me any issues so it seems like this was an outlier but it was still concerning. It was also disappointing to lose a disposable with 13ml of ejuice that couldn’t be vaped.

Verdict

These disposables are great for a number of reasons. They have a huge ejuice capacity, the flavors are good, and there’s little menthol. The fact that you can recharge the 5000 is also a huge plus. Where most disposables are filled with 2ml of ejuice, either one of these models will last you 5 or 6 times longer. The value is definitely there so it’s worth picking up a few of these to try.

Aside from the one disposable that auto fired, I had no issues with any of the others. 1 out of 14 isn’t too bad, so chances are you won’t have the issue that I had. Even with this one problem disposable, I would still call these reliable. They’re definitely effective and straightforward to use and those are both things that smokers looking to quit will appreciate.

I think that Elfbar has created a good product with the Elfbar 3000 and Elfbar 5000. I can easily recommend trying them out and seeing which flavors you like.
