Fifty Bar 20K Review: Did I Just Find My New Favorite Disposable?

The all-new Fifty Bar 20K closely resembles the original model but features some minor cosmetic updates. Unlike the original, which had two-tone colors, the Fifty Bar 20K is available in one of two series: White and Black. For those who enjoy fruit or candy flavors, the White Series is specifically curated for you. If you prefer dessert flavors, then the Black Series is worth exploring. I like that they are categorized into different series, making it easy for users to distinguish between them.

The color combinations on the device vary depending on the series. The White Series features an all-white top with a grey bottom and a grey mouthpiece. In contrast, the Black Series has a more colorful design, with colors coordinated to the flavor on top, a black bottom, and a black mouthpiece.

Upon examining the device, I initially thought it was the same size as the original; however, it appears to be slightly larger. It measures 87mm tall, 43.5mm wide, and 24.4mm thick. Given the increase in e-juice capacity, the larger battery size, and the addition of a screen, the only slightly larger dimensions are impressive.

With its compact design and a weight of just 68g, this vape is perfect for taking one or even a few with you on the go.

The outer casing is made of plastic with a soft-touch coating that feels pleasant to hold and provides a slight grip. The mouthpiece is also very comfortable to use.

The front of the device includes a screen that lights up with each draw, displaying the Fifty Bar logo at the top, three white wavy lines in the middle, and the e-juice and battery levels at the bottom. The e-juice level is indicated by a water droplet icon with four color-coded lines that deplete as the e-juice is used. The battery percentage is clearly displayed and easy to read. Just below the screen, you can find the flavor of the device printed.

On the back of the device, you’ll find the classic Fifty Bar logo in the center, along with the words “Built in the USA” printed below it. This is a nod to the original design, which I particularly appreciate.

The airflow adjustment slider is positioned at the bottom of the device and feels very sturdy. It requirse a bit of force to move, but at least it won’t slide on its own. When it’s time to charge your device, the Type-C charging port is located just above the slider. 

Features

When the Fifty Bar first entered the market, its standout feature was that it was built in the USA and filled with American-made e-liquid. This remains true for the Fifty Bar 20K, which is filled and manufactured in Thousand Oaks, California.

The Fifty Bar 20K maintains the best aspect of its predecessor: the e-juice. The flavor is potent and, in my personal opinion, it is one of the best-flavored disposables I have ever tried. From the first draw to the last puff, you can expect dense, flavorful hits.

Now, let’s discuss the improvements that come with the Fifty Bar 20K. Each device now contains 18ml of e-juice, an increase of 2ml from the previous version. But despire the small increase in ejuice capacity, each device offers up to 20,000 puffs, a significant jump from the original’s 6,500 puffs. Additionally, each device features a 800mAh battery, an upgrade from the previous 400mAh battery.

One of the highlights is the new screen, which allows users to easily track their e-juice and battery levels. Furthermore, it includes an airflow adjustment slider, providing a more customiz vaping experience.

How long do they last?

The Fifty Bar 20K features an upgraded 800mAh battery, which is double the capacity of the original Fifty Bar’s 400mAh battery. While I couldn’t find specific information about the charging speed, I estimate it supports a charging rate between 1.5A and 2A based on the charging times.

The larger battery is a significant improvement over the previous version, but the Fifty Bar 20K still maintains a compact size despite the increased capacity.

I set a timer on my phone to measure the charging time. After 20 minutes, the battery reached 30% charge. Another 20 minutes later, it climbed to 55%. Completing a full charge took just over one hour.

On the screen, you’ll notice a water droplet icon with four colored lines: green, blue, yellow, and red. These indicate the ejuice levels in 25% increments:

• Green: 100%
• Blue: 75%
• Yellow: 50%
• Red: 25%

One downside of this device is that the ejuice levels do not change until the battery charge is depleted. There appears to be a correlation between the battery charge and ejuice usage, with the device dropping 25% ejuice with every charge. This means you can expect four full charges per device before running out of ejuice. Since each full charge lasts me 2 to 3 days, you can anticipate the device to last for about 8 to 12 days overall.

Flavors

An interesting aspect of the Fifty Bar 20K is that it features two distinct series. The White Series encompasses all the fruit and candy flavors, while the Black Series includes all the dessert flavors.

The fruit and candy flavors have been completely revamped, with none of the original flavors retained in the new Fifty Bar 20K. In contrast, many of the original dessert flavors have been carried over into the new lineup, along with one new addition.

I’m going to describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, remember that just because I like a flavor, this does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I dislike a flavor, this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Raspberry Jam

There aren’t many disposable vapes that offer a strictly raspberry flavor; most tend to blend raspberries with other berries. However, this one stands out as it delivers a pure raspberry taste that mimics raspberry jam perfectly. The flavor hits you immediately upon inhaling and lingers long after you exhale. I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Strawberry Cereal Donut Milk

This flavor is reminiscent of the Blueberry Cereal Donut Milk, but with strawberry replacing the blueberry. When you take your first draw, the taste of strawberry cereal hits you right away, accompanied by lingering notes of donut and milk after you exhale. This is one of the best dessert flavors I have ever tried.

Vanilla Custard

This is one of the best flavors in the lineup and quickly became my favorite. Most desserts can be too overpowering to vape all day, but the Vanilla Custard is one I simply couldn’t put down. It delivers precisely what its name suggests—vanilla custard. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s perfection.

Green Apple Blast

If you love green apple and want a vape that delivers a strong flavor, this one is made just for you. It’s almost surprising how quickly the taste hits your palate. I suppose that’s why they included the word “blast” in the name. It’s an exceptionally accurate flavor that is truly enjoyable.

Strawmelon Twist

This is such a light and refreshing flavor. The strawberry flavor is more pronounced, and the melon gives it a kick that mimics an icy coolness. This would be the perfect vape for a sunny day at the beach. 

How do they vape?

The Fifty Bar 20K is only available in a nicotine strength of 5%. While this may be high for some, it is the ideal level for heavy smokers looking to make the switch. That said, a 2% option would be nice to have.

Another notable feature is the always-active boost mode, which enhances flavor and consistently delivers a satisfying experience. However, considering the high nicotine level, having the ability to turn this mode on or off would have been a welcome feature.

The adjustable airflow consists of three small holes and a slider that can cover one, two, or all of the holes, allowing you to set your desired airflow. There is a noticeable difference when you adjust the slider. It requires a little force to move, but you can trust it won’t slide on its own.

Lastly, the Fifty Bar 20K is equipped with high-quality anti-burn technology, ensuring a flavorful draw without any dry hits, thanks to its dual parallel mesh coil. As I am nearing the end of the vanilla custard flavor, I can confirm that this system works exceptionally well and has done its job of preventing burning and dry hits.

Verdict

The Fifty Bar 20K is an excellent all-around vaping device, boasting more advantages than disadvantages. One of the standout features of the Fifty Bar brand is its exceptional flavor. 

If you like dessert flavors, their Black series has some of the best flavors on the market. If you’re more into traditional fruit or candy flavors, their White series is nearly as good.

I like the new display screen that clearly shows the e-juice and battery levels. It’s a welcome improvement from the original model, making it a little easier to track where the battery and ejuice are at. Still, the Fifty Bar 20K is as user-friendly as the original Fifty Bar, and with no adjustable wattage or buttons, even a complete beginner to vaping can pick one up and use it without trouble.

One downside to the Fifty Bar 20K is that it’s only available in 5% nicotine strength, so unless you’re a heavy smoker or a vaper already used to this nicotine strength, you might find it to be too strong of a draw. In the future, I’d like to see them come out with a 2% version, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

If you’re looking for an easy-to-use, portable, and flavorful device, the Fifty Bar 20K is an excellent choice.
