The bottom line
In terms of pure vaping quality, the Max Pro is one of the better additions to the disposable market. The overall smoothness of the vapor and the decent flavors provide an experience that will keep you coming back for more throughout the day.
The two power modes are great and seem to cater to both types of vapers: smooth throat and lung hits on normal mode, and a bit more of a rounded ‘kick’ on boost mode.
The design is great, offering a futuristic and modern look that won’t cause people to double-take or confuse it for something else. It pretty much screams ‘I’m a cool-looking vape,’ unlike other disposables on the market that, for some reason, try to take the shape of a cartoon character or soda cups.
The airflow is fantastic, despite it not being a changeable feature. This goes to show how much effort the design team put into finding that perfect vapor flow, taste, and feel.
My one gripe with the Max Pro is the inaccurate battery life readout that, if you’re out in public and without access to a charger, can really ruin your day. I really hope this was just a bad prototype batch that I received, or perhaps something Flonq can fix in future releases. This really could be one of the best devices out there if the battery/readout issue is addressed!
The Flonq Max Pro is another impressive offering from Flonq’s extensive lineup of vape devices. Known for their innovative designs and high-quality builds, Flonq continues to push the boundaries with the Max Pro, a device that promises up to 20,000 puffs and features dual power modes: normal and boost. This device is the successor to the Flonq Max, which we reviewed in 2023. I also recently reviewed the Flonq Ultra, which you can check out if you’re interested in Flonq’s other devices.
This sleek and modern vape is designed to fit comfortably in your hand while providing a satisfying vaping experience. Equipped with an LED screen for easy battery and e-juice level monitoring, and powered by a 650mAh rechargeable battery with Type-C charging, the Max Pro is as functional as it is stylish. With 25 flavors to choose from and a draw-activated mechanism, it’s an enticing option for those seeking a reliable and flavorful vaping experience.
But does the Flonq Max Pro live up to its hype? I tested various flavors and settings to find out if this disposable vape is a worthy addition to your collection.

Design Build & Quality
When it comes to design quality, Flonq seem to have this nailed down. Each one of their device lines will take inspiration from a design of some sort, with the Max Pro nodding to an aerodynamic sort of design. The website compares the device to a modern sports car with the BMW I8 coming to mind instantly.
Weighing in at just 72.2g, the Max Pro boasts a sleek, modern design with an ergonomic shape. It features a smooth, curved body that tapers slightly towards the top, resembling a small, compact bottle or pod.
When viewed from the front, with the LCD screen facing you, the mouthpiece curves off to the back, creating an almost squashed spherical shape. This thoughtful design allows the device to be held comfortably in various ways, whether in a clenched fist, with fingers and a supporting thumb, or with one finger and thumb at the bottom.
The side of the device includes a glossy black display panel with an LED screen and a power button at the bottom.
In the middle of the two curved edges at the bottom of the device, you’ll find the Type C charging port. The issue here is that the device is so curvy it can’t stand up on its own. If you like to charge your devices standing up without the fear of leaking juice, you’ll have to prop it against a wall. This is definitely a pet peeve of mine!
The overall shape is crafted to fit comfortably in the hand, making the Flonq Max Pro both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
One thing I noticed pretty quickly was that the device itself can’t actually be turned off via the button on the LCD screen. It seems as though it will fall into a ‘sleep’ mode after around 5 seconds of not vaping or pressing any buttons.
So, what does this button actually do? Well, with the device being a strictly auto-draw vape only, the button serves one purpose; to change between the ‘normal’ and ‘boost’ mode. More on these modes later).
The LCD screen on the Max Pro is a notable upgrade compared to the newer Flonq Ultra. It displays battery power percentages, providing a clearer indication of your remaining power.
For tracking juice levels, the Max Pro relies on five arrow-shaped increments to show how much juice is left. When you press the button located on the screen, you can switch between two power modes, indicated by a simple rocket ship design. In ‘normal’ mode, the rocket is white, and in ‘boost’ mode, both the button and the rocket turn red.
Mouthpiece-wise, nothing to write home about. The oblong outer shape of the mouthpiece is pretty much for show, with the inside of the mouthpiece actually sporting a much smaller, circular hole.
The Flonq Max Pro doesn’t have airflow control which could be annoying for some who like to customize their vaping experience. To not have a small airflow control panel for disposables in this day and age is slightly confusing, but it does make the Max Pro a very easy to use device.
Features
When it comes to pinpointing the device’s standout features, there aren’t many to choose from. Yes, the design is fantastic, and the option to switch between power modes is great, but apart from this, it’s a pretty simple vape.
Let’s stay on the topic of these power modes, though. As mentioned previously, the Max Pro has two power settings: normal and boost mode. Determining the wattages is pretty much a mystery, as no official indication is given for what power these two modes yield. If I were to hazard a guess based on other devices, I’d say the normal mode is between 10-12W and the boosted mode is somewhere in the low 20s.
Now, back to the LCD screen and its information. There are percentage indicators for the battery power, but whether or not they provide accurate readings is up for debate.
Straight out of the box, all six of the devices I received were around the lower end of 90%, which is disappointing as many disposables come fully charged. Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there with the battery life. Whether you’re in normal or boost mode, the battery seems to drain pretty quickly, leaving you scrambling for a charger sooner than expected.
Within the first 5 minutes of vaping out of the box, I was already at 75% battery power. After a full charge (which lasts around 30 minutes), this seemed to put the brakes on the power leakage, but it still lost power quicker than other devices. I theorize this is due to not being able to turn the device off fully or perhaps a bad prototype batch.
Flavors
According to the box that was sent to me and the Flonq website, there are 25 flavors to enjoy, showing that there really is a flavor preference for everyone. Here’s what they have to offer in this line:
- Tobacco
- White Gummy
- Pineapple Coconut
- Clear
- Strawberry Ice Cream
- Banana Milkshake
- Miami Mint
- Watermelon Bubble Gum
- Peach Icy
- Cool Mint
- Strawberry Icy
- Mango Icy
- Menthol
- Strawberry Watermelon
- Strawberry Banana
- Blueberry Lemonade
- Cherry Lemon
- Kiwi Lime
- Blue Razz Icy
- Cola Lemon
- Strawberry Kiwi
- Grape
- Milk Chocolate
- Watermelon Icy
- Energy Berry
So, how do they really taste? Well, Flonq were nice enough to send me a little goodie-bag with 6 of their different flavors to try. Here are my thoughts on each of them:
Blue Razz Icy
Blue Razz Icy feels cool on the inhale and smooth on the exhale, but the ‘icy’ flavor profile is barely detectable. The Blue Razz flavor itself isn’t very strong and, if blindfolded, it would be hard to specifically identify it as blue raspberry.
Banana Milkshake
Banana Milkshake offers a true banana milkshake experience, reminiscent of Nesquick milkshake. It’s warm on both inhale and exhale, making it a hit for banana fans. This flavor captures the essence of a creamy banana treat perfectly.
Watermelon Icy
Watermelon Icy continues the theme of having a subtle ‘icy’ profile. The watermelon flavor is very artificial but surprisingly enjoyable. Despite its artificiality, it’s one of my favorites, offering a pleasant and satisfying vape experience.
Miami Mint
Miami Mint immediately brings to mind Polos or Tic Tacs with its sweet spearmint flavor. It’s cool on the inhale and sweet and light on the exhale, making it a very enjoyable and refreshing vape any time of the day.
Strawberry Kiwi
Strawberry Kiwi has a super artificial flavor, but it somehow works. However, it can become too sickly at times, so it wouldn’t be suitable for all-day vaping. It’s a decent flavor for short vaping sessions.
Strawberry Watermelon
Strawberry Watermelon is one of the nicest flavors, offering an enjoyable vape all day without losing its flavor. It’s cool on both inhale and exhale, making it a refreshing and consistently satisfying option.
How do they vape?
The Max Pro boasts three different nicotine levels: 0%, 2%, and 5%. Flonq sent me their 5% line, and while this was a little higher than what I was used to, the design quality and the dual mesh coil made this a really enjoyable vape.
For me, the ‘normal’ mode provided the best experience with a cool inhale and flavorful exhale. Despite the nicotine level being 5%, it still delivered a perfect throat hit and a satisfying amount of vapor.
Turbo mode was great, but not a setting I would use all day. The hot inhale was quite harsh on my lungs, with a strong throat hit. But remember, this is just my preference; others might crave this big hit on both lungs and throat. Honestly, I’d use turbo mode when my work got a little stressful!
The Max Pro claims to be a 20,000 puff device, but is that really true? Well, on normal mode, yes, it’s certainly in the ballpark. After a week of consistent usage on normal mode, the e-juice counter had only just hit the halfway point.
I predict that two weeks’ worth of usage is about what you can expect to get out of each device. In my experience with other disposables, this would equate to about 20,000 puffs, as advertised. However, with turbo mode, due to its approximately double power, you’d probably get around a week’s worth of usage.
Flavor-wise, apart from the generic, artificial flavors, most of the ones I received were great. I was able to switch between flavors at any point during the day. In fact, the flavors were so accessible that I ended up making the Max Pro my all-day vape for a week straight. It hit the spot well, and what more can you ask for with a disposable vape?
