Our Verdict

The Funky Republic Ti7000 is a nice, if unexceptional, addition to the disposable vape landscape. The digital display is a very welcome feature and I’d love to see it appear on more disposable devices.

The vape performs well and seems leak-free in daily use. The five flavors that I tried were all enjoyable, with a couple of standout winners that I can see myself buying again. There are potentially 20 other flavors available if you didn’t like the sound of the ones I tested.

If you’re looking for a reasonably tight MTL draw, the Ti7000 won’t disappoint in that area either. The vaping experience is good, with plenty of vapor produced and a satisfying throat hit from the 50/50 mix of VG and PG.

It would be great to be able to say that these disposable vapes offer something more groundbreaking or unique than the LCD. But while they are enjoyable, reliable, and great value for money, there isn’t much else to recommend the Funky Republic Ti7000 over any other high-capacity vape.

The Funky Republic Ti7000 is one of the newest disposable vapes from the company behind the ultra-popular Elfbar brand. It is one of only two devices currently available in the new range, alongside the smaller Fi3000 model.

Each Ti7000 contains nearly 13ml of 50mg/ml strength vape liquid, which is vaporized by a 1.2Ω mesh coil and estimated to last for 7000 puffs. The vape is available in a wide range of familiar flavors providing a mix of mostly fruit and sweet tastes.

Unusually for a disposable vape, it also features a digital display for keeping track of battery and juice levels in the device, rather than the simple LED lights more commonly seen.

But is this just an Elfbar Pi7000 with a fancy new body and a liquid crystal display slapped on the side? Or does the Funky Republic Ti7000 offer something more for fans of disposable vapes? Let’s find out!

Design & Build Quality

Funky Republic Ti7000 Disposable - 3

The Funky Republic Ti7000 is a reasonably large device, but the oval shape makes it comfortable and easy to hold. You might find discreet vaping tricky unless you have huge hands, but that isn’t much of a design flaw. Vapes with this promised puff count aren’t often tiny devices.

The body has a mix of matte and gloss finish with a small, textured area for added grip where your thumb naturally sits. The top section and the flat-style mouthpiece are glossy, making it easy to wipe clean.

Branding is minimal and these vapes look pretty classy in the hand, at least in some colors. The colors vary based on the flavor inside the vape, so green for apple, dark red for cherry, and so on. The dark reds, blues, and greens look better to my eye, but it’s hardly unusual for disposables to use bright colors.

The bottom of the device is wide and flat, so there’s no worry that it will topple over if you bump into the surface it’s placed on. The only time the Ti7000 needs to be laid down on its side is when charging because the base is also where the USB-C port is located.

All in all, it follows a pretty standard design for a large-capacity disposable vape. Nothing new or exciting to see here, folks.

Features

Funky Republic Ti7000 Disposable - 8

The Funky Republic Ti7000 isn’t packed with features. After all, and as with most modern disposables, it’s designed to be cheap and easy to use. However, it does have a couple of noteworthy tricks up its sleeve.

There aren’t many disposables on the market that feature a digital display to show battery and ejuice levels remaining. That immediately makes the Funky Republic vapes pretty unique. The Liquid Crystal Display isn’t incredibly detailed, and it is pretty small, but it’s a useful addition that would be welcomed on more disposable devices. The display is hidden in the bezel that runs down the side of the Ti7000, so unless you’re vaping you won’t even know that it’s there.

These vapes use a 600mAh rechargeable battery. That’s not the largest capacity I’ve ever seen but it’s up there with several similar disposables. As is now becoming normal, charging is done with USB-C, which makes it pretty quick. From low battery warning to full charge takes about 30 minutes.

There are no buttons on the device at all, meaning it’s draw-activated only. Six small holes on the bottom of the vape are your only option for airflow control, and they are so close together that you can either cover all of them or none.

As these vapes are made by the same people as Elfbars, it isn’t surprising that they have the same QUAQ coil found in their other brands. In a nutshell, if you haven’t heard of this coil technology before, it’s designed to produce better flavor and flavor consistency and burn more efficiently using less vape liquid in each puff. All of the disposables I have used that use this type of coil live up to these claims, and the Ti7000s seem to as well.

This coil technology might account for the fact that there is only 12.8ml of liquid inside the vape. I was expecting 15ml or more for a device that promises 7000 puffs, so that volume was surprising. As for strength, you only have a 50mg/ml option, but more could be added as the brand matures.

Flavors

Funky Republic Ti7000 Disposable - 1

There are 15 flavors available in the Ti7000 range at launch, with another 10 to be added in the future. I was able to test several of the launch flavors that encompassed a good cross-section of those available.

Knowing that these vapes are made by the same company that makes Elfbar, I thought I knew what to expect. Happily, there were a few surprises to keep things interesting. Here’s what I thought of the Ti7000 flavors I was lucky enough to test out.

California Cherry

Easily the flavor I found most enjoyable, and interestingly not one I can recall seeing in the usual lineup of Elfbar flavors. It’s got that sweet fruit taste I was expecting but with more of a complex flavor that includes a hint of ice. Very nice indeed, and something I would buy again.

Passionfruit Kiwi Lime

This is a well-used and popular flavor combination. Passion fruit is undeniably the most dominant of the flavors, but it’s balanced out by the lime and subtle kiwi taste. I found it to be just on the right side of too sweet, for my tastes at least, and almost refreshing to use.

Pomelo Pearl Grape

Another interesting flavor that I haven’t encountered before in a disposable or any other liquid. I’m not 100% sure I know what a pomelo tastes like, but if this vape is anything to go by, I’d definitely like to try one. The grape flavor could be a little heavy for some, but it still provides a pleasant fruit vape experience.

Watermelon Ice

A classic for Elfbar and many other disposable brands, watermelon ice is a flavor I variously like and dislike. Without the hint of cooling, I would find this far too sweet and almost candy-like, but with that icy finish, I can enjoy it in small doses. That said, if you enjoy this flavor combination elsewhere in the world of vaping, you’ll also enjoy it here.

Super Berry

My everyday vape juice is commonly mixed berries with menthol and a hint of aniseed. If you were to take away the aniseed and amped up the berries, I imagine it would taste like this flavor. Again, slightly sweet for my personal taste, but really fruity and feels perfect for summer. It tastes almost juicy, if that makes sense.

How do they vape?

Funky Republic Ti7000 Disposable - 2

On to the most crucial bit of the review, because no matter what flashing lights, digital displays, or range of flavors a disposable offers, if it doesn’t vape well, why bother choosing it over any of the hundred other options?

The Funky Republic Ti7000 provides a vaping experience very much in line with what most of us expect from a disposable. The draw activation makes it easy to use and reliable enough to provide a good lungful of vapor on each hit.

The draw is medium to tight, giving a good MTL-style inhale, and can be easily tightened further by covering the airflow holes on the bottom. The throat hit from the 50/50 vape liquid is strong, without being too harsh, and each puff is flavorful.

The battery lasts well, and the digital display makes it easy to see how much vaping time you have left. The battery readout drops in 10% increments which is handy enough, but a more accurate display would have been better.

The device itself is comfortable to hold and use. You probably wouldn’t want too many in your pocket at once, but with 7000 puffs and a battery that should easily last all day, you probably don’t need to carry more than one.

Verdict

The Funky Republic Ti7000 is a nice, if unexceptional, addition to the disposable vape landscape. The digital display is a very welcome feature and I’d love to see it appear on more disposable devices.

It would be great to be able to say that these disposable vapes offer something more groundbreaking or unique than the LCD. But while they are enjoyable, reliable, and great value for money, there isn’t much else to recommend the Funky Republic Ti7000 over any other high-capacity vape.
