Juice Head 5K Disposables Review: As Good As Their Ejuices?

Juice Head is a company that consistently delivers quality products and this quality has earned them a place as one of the most recognized ejuice brands in the vaping industry. 

Juice Head is best known for their great freebase ejuices and nicotine salt ejuices, which are highly rated in the vaping community for their variety and excellent flavor. In addition to their ejuices, Juice Head has previously released disposables like their Juice Head Bars.

Today, I’m reviewing another Juice Head disposable, the Juice Head 5K. This is Juice Heads second and most recent line of disposables. The Juice Head 5K holds 14ml of prefilled ejuice and is capable of up to 5000 puffs. It’s available in 9 unique flavors and in only one nicotine strength, 50mg (5%). Each Juice Head 5K packs a 650mAh battery that recharges using Type-C charging.

Do the Juice Head 5K disposables continue to build on Juice Heads’ line of excellent products? How does the vapor hold up throughout the battery life? Does Juice Head continue to deliver excellent flavor in their disposable line-up? Is it a vape you should consider? I’ll answer these questions and more in this review.

Design & Build Quality

The Juice Head 5K is on the larger side when it comes to disposables. It stands at around 100mm tall, which makes it a little less discreet to use than a smaller disposable. Until I got comfortable with it, it felt a little awkward in my hand. It has a similar width to an Elfbar BC5000, but it is almost twice as tall. However, this size is not too surprising considering that it is a larger capacity disposable holding an impressive 14ml of ejuice.

Juice Head did an excellent job of designing the Juice Head 5K. It features a nice metallic side panel that wraps around the device,  and the base and top of the device are a shiny hard plastic. The devices have a stylish look without being over the top and the colors of the devices allow you to quickly differentiate what each flavor is.

The front of the device displays the name, Juice Head 5K, and the nicotine content in white lettering. The back of each device displays the flavor in both small images of associated fruits and in text.

The top of the device is a shiny black plastic that the mouthpiece protrudes out of, which has a comfortable oval shape. The bottom of the device features the same black plastic and houses the airflow slots, Type-C charging port, and an LED indicator for charging and when the device is activated.

Overall, these are nice devices with a simple, clean look. The design is nothing fancy but still looks good and the build quality is certainly there.

Flavors

The flavors available for the Juice Head 5K are a variety of fruit combinations. There are currently a total of nine unique flavors available:

• Watermelon Strawberry
• Raspberry Lemonade
• Strawberry Peach
• Fresh Mint
• Lychee Mango
• Watermelon Lime
• Pineapple Grapefruit
• Pineapple Lemon Lime

Juice Head did an excellent job with all of these flavors. I will do my best to describe each flavor but as always, this is subjective. I recommend that if you see a combination that you think you’ll enjoy, you should grab it as the flavors match the name/description perfectly.

Peach Pear 

I enjoy this flavor due to the fact it is not a strong mix but two very independent flavors. The peach hits strongly on the inhale, followed by a smooth exhale of pear. I usually enjoy flavors that are not mixed but rather independent so this is definitely one I would recommend for those who enjoy the same.

Watermelon Strawberry

Watermelon Strawberry is by far my favorite of the flavors that I tried. It has a smooth mix of both where I can really taste both throughout the entire vape, but neither overpowers the other.

Raspberry Lemonade

I thoroughly enjoy this flavor. It tastes as if you are sipping on a raspberry lemonade on a hot day. Both flavors pair well together throughout the inhale and exhale, with neither overpowering the other to stand out.

Strawberry Peach

I would call this flavor mostly peach as I only taste a faint strawberry flavor on the inhale and then the peach flavor overwhelms and becomes the only taste I can find. The peach flavor is excellent though and very natural.

Fresh Mint

This flavor is very straightforward. Just nice and minty but not too overwhelming. It’s a nice change from the fruity flavors. It is as if you’re chewing on a mint leaf. If you like mint or menthol flavors then you’ll enjoy this one.

Lychee Mango

Lychee mango is a flavor that I’m torn on. It’s a nice flavor but some might find it too strong for their liking. It has a nice mix of sweet and tart between the two flavors and the flavors flow well together. You can taste both through the entire vape, with each flavor sort of mixing in and out as you inhale and exhale.

Watermelon Lime

Another delicious flavor I find myself picking up time and time again. The watermelon flavor is exquisite on the inhale, as if I have a nice watery bite in my mouth and the lime follows smoothly on exhale, creating a lovely blend.

Pineapple Grapefruit

This flavor feels a little underwhelming. I can definitely taste the pineapple but it feels as if the grapefruit could benefit from being a bit more flavorful so the exhale of the vape does not feel so lacking. I can taste the grapefruit, but on exhale I feel it lacks flavor heavily.

Pineapple Lemon Lime

Pineapple Lemon Lime is a very fruity and citrusy flavor. The flavors combine well throughout the entire inhale and exhale to give an enjoyable citrus cocktail. I can’t distinguish the individual flavors but they do give an excellent blend.

How Do They Vape?

The Juice Head 5K disposables are very capable devices that offer exactly what you would want from a disposable. Since they come prefilled with 14ml of ejuice, I was able to get a significant amount of vaping time out of a single disposable. Plus, because of the 650mAh battery, I am able to get several days of vaping without needing to recharge, even while vaping heavily.

The battery life is something that truly impresses me. There was minimal downtime during my use as I was able to take a single device with me for several days of heavy vaping before needing to recharge. Each one charges quickly too and a full charge takes around 45 minutes. 

These pros, combined with the consistent vapor production throughout the entire battery life, make these truly satisfying and consistent disposables. As the battery starts to drain there is almost no change in flavor, vapor, or nicotine delivery, which I absolutely love in these vapes as I do not have to worry about a sudden change in my draw and having to find a place to charge.

I found myself enjoying these devices almost immediately. They deliver a loose MTL draw that is more on the cool side and it does not get much warmer, even after several draws. Utilizing a mesh coil, Juice Head did an outstanding job in flavor and vapor delivery. 

These disposables are only available in 50mg (5%) nicotine strength and deliver a satisfying hit that is perfect for those who usually vape with 50mg strength, but may be too much for those not used to it. As with most disposables, these are draw activated so simply start inhaling on the mouthpiece and the device activates and illuminates the LED at the base of the device. There are no buttons or adjustments to be made with this device so it is very simple to use these disposables.

The Juice Head 5K disposables shine when it comes to performance and reliability. I have not had, and continue to have, no problems with any of the disposables I’ve used. I did not experience any leaking, ejuice in the mouth piece, or any other defects on the devices that I tested.

Juice Head claims that the Juice Head 5K is rated for around 5000 puffs. In my experience, this puff count seems to be accurate as I was able to get full use out of one and it even out performed the 5000 puff count by a little. I was able to get to the end of the device on just a few charges and the flavor held up until the very end with no burnt taste.

Verdict

Juice Head is held in high regard when it comes to their ejuice products. With the Juice Head 5K, they’ve used that knowledge to develop a disposable and it’s a match made in heaven. The Juice Head 5K is an all-around excellent disposable by Juice Head. It delivers excellent performance, nicotine satisfaction, and great flavors, all in a clean and appealing package.

I was most impressed with the longevity, quality, and flavor that these deliver. The flavors are all a variety of fruit mixes which are accurate to their name, but this is Juice Head after all so it is almost to be expected. The flavors perfectly match their descriptions and they do not disappoint.

Juice Head’s 5K disposables do not have many real cons. They are quality built devices, however the only thing that took a little time adjusting to was the size. Not a large complaint but it’s something to consider if you’re concerned about portability.

These disposables are extremely simple to use, requiring no adjustments to be made. Just inhale and enjoy. The draw is very satisfying and consistent throughout both the entire battery life and device life. After just a few days of use, the Juice Head 5K became my go-to disposable, and after continued use the device truly shined in the long term.
