Our Verdict
I like what OXBAR has created with their G8000 disposables. They look and feel so much like a pod vape that you’ll feel bad throwing them away when you’re done with them, but you’ll love using them while they last. They’ll last for a while too thanks to the 16ml of ejuice and rechargeable 650mAh battery, so you’ll get to use and admire each one for some time.
The design isn’t the whole reason that I like them though. Although I only got to try three flavors, I liked two out of the three. That’s only 66%, but it’s the way the two flavors taste which have me curious to try more G8000’s. They don’t slap you with sweetness, but deliver a refined flavor that is tasty without being too much. I loved that about these flavors and I can only imagine that their other flavors are similar.
The performance of these devices is also just what I look for in a disposable. A smooth draw that is satisfying to vape on and consistent in its performance.

OXBAR is the disposable brand of OXVA. They offer twelve different types of disposable vapes, each with a different design, size, and puffs. The G8000 is one of OXBAR’s latest devices and it’s also one of their highest puff count disposables that they offer.
The G8000 comes filled with 16ml of eliquid and it houses a rechargeable 650mAh battery. Each one offers up to 8000 puffs which should last at least a week of vaping, even for heavy users.
The OXBAR G8000 is currently available in 20mg/ml or 50mg/ml nicotine strengths. There are seventeen flavors available which include fruit flavors, ice flavors, and more.
We’ve previously reviewed a few of OXBAR’s offerings, such as their RRD Pod and The Fox disposable. Both of these received good reviews from our team, but is the G8000 good as well? I used these disposables for a week to find out.

Design & Build Quality
The G8000 has a nice design that consists of an inner shell and an outer shell. The outer shell is transparent, while the inner shell is colorful and features a wavy texture. This clear shell over the colored shell gives each device a cool and 3D look. This design ,and the size of each one, makes the G8000 feel more like a pod vape than a disposable, and that’s a good thing.
Rather than feeling cheap, the G8000 feels like a device that is made to last. Of course, you’ll still throw it out once the ejuice is done, but it has the build quality, design, and feel of a refillable pod vape. It’s a shame that a device this nice has to be thrown away once the ejuice is finished.
Each G8000 is 85.6mm tall, 49.7mm wide, and 25.4mm thick. This is larger than some pod vapes out there and I found it cumbersome to keep more than one or two on me at a time. These aren’t slim and thin 600 puff count disposables after all, so the large size is the tradeoff for their increased longevity.
The bright side is that the 16ml of ejuice will last for more than ten times longer than a 600 puff count disposable, so they’re kind of like ten small-capacity devices in one, and nowhere near as large.
Each device has OXBAR, ROCKY VAPOR, G800, and the flavor, printed in raised lettering on the clear shell. I’ve looked at photos of the G8000 on OXBAR’s website and, for some reason, the devices on there do not have ROCKY VAPOR printed on them. They also do not mention Rocky Vapor anywhere on the product page.
I was under the impression that the G8000 was a collaboration with Rocky Vapor, but it’s unclear if this is the case. At any rate, don’t be surprised if you purchase a G8000 and it doesn’t have the same branding as my units.
The bottom portion of the G8000 features a white plastic base that meets the clear shell. As a whole, the G8000 looks good but it might have looked better if the entire body was the clear shell instead of this white piece of plastic. On the bottom of this piece is an LED indicator light, an airflow hole, and the Type-C charging port.
Each G8000 also includes a lanyard, which is not something that you see often. It’s a pretty nice fabric lanyard too; stylish if I do say so myself. There’s a lanyard anchor spot on the top corner of the G8000, so it’s easy to attach and wear around your neck. Although these weigh 72g each, I found it comfortable to wear around my neck.
The mouthpiece is completely transparent and one-piece with the clear shell. It’s a nice size and shape, with a slight concave slope that fits nicely between my lips.
Features
The G8000 isn’t exactly a feature-filled disposable. There’s no adjustable airflow, no fancy lighting, and no surprises. Rather, you get what you expect with the G8000 and that’s a good thing when you look at the specs.
Each G8000 is filled with a lot of ejuice, 16ml to be exact. They’re also rechargeable and pack a 650mAh battery which recharges with Type-C charging. You can expect to vape for a few days on a full charge, after which it can be recharged and used again until the ejuice runs out. Altogether, you’re looking at 8000 puffs from each G800. That works out to be days of vaping if you’re a very heavy vaper, or a week+ if you’re a more moderate vaper.
These disposables use a 1.2Ω mesh coil for vaporizing the ejuice inside. OXBAR claims that this provides 30% more performance than a ‘normal device’ and 25% more vapor production. We’ll get to this in the performance section.
Currently, these are available in 20mg/ml strength or 50mg/ml. The 50mg/ml will be fine if you’re used to higher nicotine strengths, but anyone else might find this nicotine concentration to be too much to handle. If this is the case, you can go with the 20mg/ml strength which I found to be quite smooth. The 20mg/ml versions are also what I am using for this review.
Like most disposables these are draw-activated only. Since there’s no settings to adjust, you can take them out of the packaging, remove the stickers, and start vaping by drawing on the mouthpiece.
Flavors
The G8000 comes in seventeen flavors. There are fruit flavors, fruit and ice flavors, a tobacco flavor, a mint flavor, and a candy flavor. The flavors listed on their website are:
- Avocado Nano
- Double Apple
- Fanta Strawberry
- Kiwi Passion Kick
- Mad Blue
- Sea Salt Lemon
- Mango Peach
- Rainbow Skittles
- Peach Ice
- Watermelon Slushie
- Virginia Tobacco
- Triple Melon Blast
- Cranberry Grape
- Clear
- Sakura Grape
- Strawnana
- Cool Mint
What’s interesting is that I received three flavors for review, and none of them are listed on OXBAR’s website.
The closest one that I received is “SKIT” which I believe is Rainbow Skittles. The other two flavors I received are “DUB DUB” and Lychee Watermelon. Since I’m located in Canada, this could be the reason for the difference in flavors. They might also list these flavors on their website in the future, but we’ll see.
I’m going to describe how these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.
DUB DUB
In Canada, we go to our local Tim Horton’s coffee shop and order a double double (two cream and two sugar coffee). I think that this is what this flavor is supposed to be, but it misses the mark for me. It definitely has a coffee taste but it’s very sweet and has a weird after taste. I think I’ll stick with my real coffee.
SKIT
This flavor is what I believe to be the Rainbow Skittles listed on the OXBAR website and it’s really good. It’s fruity and tasty but also not too sweet. There’s a nice candy flavor that isn’t overdone, which is a nice change from other candy flavors that bombard you with sweetness. Of the three flavors that I tried, this one was my favorite.
Lychee Watermelon
This is a close second to SKIT in terms of the flavor. The lychee and watermelon flavors are balanced and equally shine through on the inhale and exhale. These two fruits work really well together for a slightly sweet and undeniably fruity flavor.
How do they vape?
OXBAR is made by OXVA, a vaping brand that does well at making good pod devices and tanks. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that their disposables provide good flavor, good satisfaction, and a smooth vaping experience.
After reviewing so many disposables made by prominent vaping brands, this seems to be the case when they make a disposable; they already have the knowledge on making good devices, so transitioning that knowledge to disposables is (apparently) a piece of cake.
First, let’s talk about the claims that OXBAR makes about these. Namely, that they provide 30% more performance than a ‘normal device’ and 25% more vapor production. I definitely feel like these disposables produce a lot of vapor, more than normal even. But I can’t definitively state that they provide 30% more performance. Yes, they deliver good flavor and they’re satisfying to vape with, but are they 30% better than other options on the market? That I’m not sure of.
Still, these are good disposables; that I won’t dispute. The 20mg/ml strength that I’m using is smooth and satisfying, especially for a low-strength disposable. Not once did I find them harsh, and draw after draw felt the same and consistent.
The draw is a mouth-to-lung one that is on the looser side, but it can be made a little tighter by covering the airflow hole on the bottom of the device. It’s not the ideal way to change the airflow, but since there’s no adjustability, it’s what you have to do if you want a tighter draw. I personally like the MTL draw that the G8000 offers.
The draw activation is tuned well to work every time and without hesitation. I didn’t have any problems with the draw activation. As a matter of fact, I didn’t have any problems with any of my three devices. There was no leaking, no malfunctioning, and really nothing ill to speak of the performance. These are well made and OXBAR’s quality control seems to be right where it should be.

I just got one of these to try it out and vapor is continuously leaking out of the bottom. Has anyone else had this issue or did I just get a dud?
Same here. (Purchased from Mi-Pod in US.) Bought this device a couple of times before & LOVED them. Best flavor (Sakura Grape tastes actually “juicy” somehow. AWESOME), sturdy, long-lasting. Never noticed the vapor creep before, but I wasn’t looking. At any rate, I hope it’s not a sign I got 5 dud devices!!
