The bottom line
The SVOPP has exceeded my expectation for a device of this type. The separate battery and ejuice cartridge offers a lot of benefits over disposables; environmentally, economically, and convenience-wise, all while keeping the simplicity and experience of vaping on a disposable intact.
I can’t think of any ways that the SVOPP being two-pieces makes it worse than a regular disposable. Attaching the ejuice cartridge and battery is so quick and easy that I can’t possibly say that it’s a negative. A firmer connection between the two pieces, to make it more difficult to detach them, would be good but it’s not a major issue.
I like the different wattage levels and the airflow adjustment. By using both, I was able to get the draw exactly how I wanted it. The Boost power levels were too strong for me but those who are used to 50mg/ml will probably like that they’re there.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the flavors. I wish that I had a more concrete answer for which flavors are actually going to be available but we’ll just have to wait and see. What I can say is that the ones that I tried are more or less accurate to their name and I really liked a few of them.
If you’re looking for a more environmentally friendly and convenient disposable, the SVOPP closed pod system is a really good purchase. I recommended buying two batteries though so that you can get the most out of what it has to offer.

These days, disposable vapes are the most popular way to vape and it’s easy to see why. They’re convenient, satisfying, and affordable. But while there’s no question that disposable devices have a lot to offer, they also do a lot of damage to the environment.
With this fact in mind, OXBAR has come out with a new product that keeps the convenience of disposables alive while reducing e-waste at the same time.
The OXBAR SVOPP is a cross between closed pod systems and disposables. It’s a small and light battery that can be paired with one of OXBAR’s twenty different flavors. Once paired together, you simply use it like you would any other disposable vape. When the ejuice runs out, you only throw out the ejuice cartridge and keep the battery to be used with another flavor.
The SVOPP battery has a 1100mAh capacity and recharges with Type-C charging. It features six output modes, ranging from 11W-30W, so it’s quite powerful for such a small battery.
The ejuice cartridges for the SVOPP come filled with 13ml of ejuice for up to 25,000 puffs. They are only available in 50mg/ml nicotine strength. Like OXBAR’s Magic Maze and Magic Maze 2, the available flavors are a collaboration with Pod Juice.
These disposables were sent to me by OXBAR for the purpose of this review. However, this does not in any way affect my thoughts, opinions, or ratings in this review.

Design & Build Quality
The introduction of this review might lead you to believe that the SVOPP is much more complicated than a disposable vape, but that’s really not the case. When the battery and ejuice cartridge are put together, which isn’t complicated and doesn’t take a lot of effort to do, the SVOPP is just like any other disposable.
How they go together is a good solution by OXBAR. The SVOPP uses a rail system where the battery slides into the ejuice cartridge and clicks into place.
This rail connection keeps the two pieces securely attached and makes it impossible for them to pull apart from the sides, but you have to be mindful about putting downwards pressure on the battery. Pushing down on the battery separates the two pieces quite easily so I would have liked to see a firmer connection once the battery is clicked into place.
The ejuice cartridge is two-thirds of the total size of the SVOPP and the battery is about a third. When they’re put together, it would be hard to tell that this is a two-piece device. They go together really seamlessly.
When assembled, the entire device is 93mm tall by 53mm wide and 25mm thick with a weight of around 90g. It’s a medium sized disposable but still very portable. If you want it to be even smaller, the two pieces can be detached from each other and carried in separate pockets.
The battery has a large screen which displays the wattage output and battery percentage. There’s no ejuice capacity readout. There’s a single button on the battery which is used to change the wattage.
The ejuice cartridge is where all of the branding is located. There is a SVOPP and Pod Juice logo, as well as the flavor. The back side of the cartridge has a wavy pattern that makes it a bit grippier to hold.
The mouthpiece has a TPU soft mouthpiece that is made of food-grade materials. It feels soft and it’s comfortable but it’s not as flexible as the OXBAR website makes it appear. Their website shows it bending back and forth but this isn’t the case. It’s still comfortable, it just doesn’t flex a lot.
Features
The main and largest feature of the SVOPP is the interchangeable nature of the battery and ejuice cartridge. In my opinion, this is a huge step in the right direction for disposable vapes because it greatly lessens their impact on the environment while keeping the convenience that vapers love about disposables.
To illustrate my point a bit more clearly, here’s a comparison of a regular disposable vape and the SVOPP.
With a regular disposable vape you purchase it, take it out of the packaging and vape. When it’s finished, you throw the entire thing (including the battery) away. You then replace it with an entirely new disposable vape.
With the SVOPP, you purchase an ejuice cartridge, attach it to the battery and vape. When it’s finished, you detach the ejuice cartridge and throw it away. You then replace it with a new ejuice cartridge, which you attach to the SVOPP.
As you can see, there’s really not a huge difference in how the two are used but the SVOPP eliminates the bad practice of throwing out perfectly good batteries. The SVOPP is actually even more convenient than disposable vapes in some ways.
For instance, let’s say you like sticking to a single flavor. You can purchase two batteries and swap between them when they die, preventing you from ever being with a dead device. If you like to vape on multiple different flavors, the SVOPP also comes in clutch. You can just swap between flavors by switching over the battery. All I’m seeing are upsides with the removable battery.
Something that is interesting is that there is a fill port located on the ejuice cartridge. It’s located on the side of the cartridge that connects to the battery. It takes a lot of effort to open but once it’s open, it’s clear that the cartridge can be refilled. If OXBAR sells replacement refills for the cartridge, this would make the SVOPP even more eco-friendly.
I wouldn’t recommend refilling with other flavors of ejuice, only because they’ll never taste as they’re supposed to due to being mixed with the remnants of whatever flavor was in the cartridge to begin with.
The SVOPP has six different wattage modes: 11W, 13W, 15W, 22W, 26W, and 30W. You can switch between them by pressing the button on the battery. The first, lower three modes are ‘Normal’ outputs, while the higher, last three modes are ’Boost’ outputs.
When used in any of the Normal outputs, you can expect to get somewhere around 25,000 puffs. If used exclusively in the Boost output modes, the rated puff count is nearly halved to 15,000 puffs.
Airflow
The airflow control slider on the SVOPP is useful to have. It’s going to deliver a mouth-to-lung draw no matter how it is set but you can dial in the draw a bit more using the airflow slider.
Leaving it wide open results in a medium-loose mouth to lung draw. If I close it down nearly all the way then it gets down to a tight mouth to lung draw. There’s a nice variation in the draw that can be achieved by playing around the airflow and I personally like the range.
Battery Life & Charging
Overall, I’ve been pleased with the battery on the SVOPP. I’ve been vaping almost entirely in the Normal modes (11-15W) with the occasional few puffs at 22W. When used like this, the SVOPP easily lasts for 2-3 days of relatively heavy vaping. If you vape less heavily you can expect to get even longer out of the battery. On the other hand, if you use the Boost modes (22-30W) a lot, you can likely expect less usage time.
OXBAR does not state the charging speed of the SVOPP but I timed a few charges and they all took an hour and a half from fully dead to completely charged. This tells me that the SVOPP does not have 2A charging, which is a shame; it seems to be around 0.75A. An hour or less would have been ideal but I can live with the charging speed.
Flavors
There are twenty flavors available for the SVOPP. That’s a large amount of flavors to choose from and that’s good news for a device where you’re going to be keeping the battery. You don’t want to be stuck with a battery that can only be used for a few flavors.
What’s odd is that the flavors that are listed on their website are not the same flavors that I received for review, nor the same flavors that are listed in the flavor card that comes in the packaging. According to OXBAR’s website, the twenty flavors are:
- Blueberry Raspberry Lemon
- Cherry Cola Ice
- Cool Mint
- Dragon fruit Lemon
- Extreme Mint
- Grape Bull
- Grape Ice
- Grapefruit Passion Fruit
- Green Apple Ice
- Mango Peach Ice
- Mango Pineapple
- Orange Fanta
- Peach Blue Razz
- Peach Ice
- Peach Mango Watermelon
- Sour Cherry
- Strawberry Lemon
- Strawberry Watermelon Peach
- Watermelon Ice
However, according to the flavor card in the box and the flavors that I received, the flavors are:
- Clear Emerald
- Dragon fruit Lemonade
- Fruity Pebz
- Fruity Worms
- Honey Nutty O’s
- Jewel Mint Emerald
- Jolly Blue Razz
- Juice Pink Watermelon
- Rocket Pop
- Strawberry Banana Dream
- Strawberry Pink Burst
You’ll notice that there is absolutely no crossover between the two flavor lists so it’s really confusing as to which is the actual list of available flavors. With this in mind, the flavors that I’m going to be sharing my thoughts on may not be available. However, if the flavors are accurate to their description then this will be a good indicator for the SVOPP flavors as a whole.
Jolly Blue Razz
I’m liking this twist on blue razz. It’s what I would expect from a blue razz flavor but with a jolly rancher, candy taste. It’s hard to put this flavor down because it’s so good and different, but still familiar. As a blue razz fan myself, this flavor adds a new dimension that refreshes the flavor for me.
Clear Emerald
This is a sort of sweet mint and spearmint put together. I don’t taste any sort of fruit flavor. The mints in this flavor have a nice amount of cooling, along with equal parts sweet and minty for a really balanced profile.
Strawberry Banana Dream
This isn’t your average strawberry banana flavor. There’s the obvious sweet strawberry and banana notes, but also a slightly candied other fruity flavor at the end. Maybe it’s raspberry? I’m not sure but it’s different from what I’m used to from a strawberry banana vape. It’s good though so I’m not complaining.
Fruity Pebz
I expected Fruity Pebz to have a cereal-like flavor to it but I’m not picking that up. It tastes like a fruity mix of candy with strong flavor and nice depth to the different fruit flavors. It’s sweet to a point but mellow enough to be an all day vape.
Fruity Worms
Fruity worms is similar to Fruity Pebz but with a gummy worms taste. It’s a little less sweet and the gummy worms taste is addictive. I would probably rank this flavor higher than Fruity Pebz overall but I think Jolly Blue Razz is still the winner out of the five flavors that I tried.
Performance
Since these are 5% nicotine strength and only available in this strength, I didn’t go too crazy vaping the SVOPP in the Boost modes. Even 22W just felt much too strong. Vaping the SVOPP in the Normal modes was a much better experience for me and felt more like what I wanted in terms of satisfaction and draw strength.
The dual mesh coil does a great job of bringing out the flavor from the cartridges. The experience is more or less identical to a disposable vape, just with the added convenience and less-wastefulness of the removable battery.
While vaping on the SVOPP, I tended to forget that it wasn’t just a regular disposable. That’s what I hoped for too because if it was a different experience, how could disposable vapers be expected to switch over? Thankfully it’s a familiar vaping experience when compared to other 5% disposables and if I were given this vape to try without knowing, I wouldn’t think anything of it.
Being able to switch batteries is awesome. I’ve been vaping on the Jolly Blue Razz flavor more than the others and being able to swap the battery when it dies has made using the SVOPP even better. There’s not a moment that I’m left unable to vape on my favorite flavor and I like that a lot.
Verdict
