Posh Plus XL Disposable Review: Tasty, Long-Lasting Flavors

Design & Build Quality

Once you remove the Posh Plus XL from its packaging, you’ll notice that it’s much, much larger than other disposables on the market. At 112mm tall and 18mm in diameter, this has got to be one of the tallest and largest disposables out there. It also has quite a bit of weight to it for a disposable at 40g. But even with the size and weight, it’s still small enough to fit into your pocket and light enough that it won’t noticeably weigh you down.

The size and weight aren’t just for look and feel; these disposables contain 5ml of 6% nicotine salt eliquid and will last you for days, perhaps even up to a week depending on how much you vape. These are marketed as being good for up to 1500 puffs.

One thing that I really like about these is that they come with a cap for the drip tip. This is great because you don’t need to worry about lint and dirt getting into the mouthpiece when you put it into your pocket. Unfortunately, the cap doesn’t attach to the bottom of the vape when you take it off so it’s very easy to lose. I’ve already lost the caps off of a few of mine.

The aluminum body feels solid and is painted in a color that correlates with the flavor of the disposable. These are a colorful bunch of disposables and they look really good. Although they’re meant to be thrown away once the ejuice runs out, they certainly don’t look like it. The design is very attractive and looks and feels high quality.

The drip tip is made of black plastic and slopes in to form an oval shape opening. The bottom of the disposable is also made of black plastic and houses an LED inside of it. When you take a draw, this LED lights up and cycles through different colors and illuminates a Posh logo which looks neat. The LED also isn’t super bright which is nice.

Flavors

Posh Plus XL disposables come in 14 flavors which are available only in 6% (60mg) nicotine strength. I was sent 10 flavors for this review. All of these flavors have an ‘ice’ component to them so if you’re not a fan of ‘cooling’ vapes, no need to read any further — these are likely not for you.

Mint

This flavor is exactly what you would expect; a chilly, minty blast of freshness. As far as mint flavors go, this one is spot on and has a sweetness to it that makes it very enjoyable to vape on. The cooling is also nice but it’s so cold that I can feel it in my ears a bit!

Frozen Apple

This is easily one of my favorite flavors. It has a cooling component to it but it’s light and not too overpowering. The apple flavor is tasty and reminds me of a green apple Jolly Rancher; slightly tangy and slightly tart. 

Blue Razz Ice

It’s blue raspberry candy in vape form! The blue raspberry notes are sweet, tangy, and tart. It’s a great vape. The cooling in this flavor is noticeable but barely so. The fruit flavor is dominant in this vape. 

Kiwi Strawberry Ice

This is an amazing flavor combination and one that I’m surprised I don’t see more often. It’s sweet, with the perfect balance of kiwi and strawberry notes. I taste the kiwi on the inhale and the strawberry on the exhale. The menthol is stronger in this flavor than the others and really cools your mouth. I definitely recommend trying this one.

Minty Strawberry

I thought that this would be one of the better flavors but the flavor is weak and strange. I taste just the faintest notes of strawberry on the exhale and a whole lot of cooling. It tastes off and not as strong or as sweet as I expect a strawberry flavor to taste.

Lychee Ice

The sweet and tropical notes of lychee are spot on. It’s sweet and very accurate to how lychee actually tastes. This is an odd flavor in the sense that you don’t see it too often, but if you haven’t tried it I would recommend giving it a go. The menthol is strong in this flavor, but if you like fruit flavors and strong cooling then I think that you’ll like it.

Arctic Melon

This is a watermelon and menthol flavor that, while I don’t think it’s bad, isn’t sweet enough for me. The watermelon flavor is there but it’s very toned down. The cooling isn’t so strong and that’s a positive, but it’s a watery watermelon rather than a sweet one. Who knows, you might like it more than I do.

Cool Grape

The cooling is strong with this one. It tastes like grapes, but it strongly reminds me of cough medicine. The combination of strong cooling and grapes makes me feel like I should vape this when I have the flu (this is a bad idea, don’t do this). I’m not sure how I feel about this flavor. On one hand it tastes good, but it also reminds me of medicine.

Strawnana Ice

Strawberry and banana are a match made in heaven. It’s a very popular flavor and not everyone gets it right, but that’s not the case here. The banana is stronger than the strawberry but they both come together for a sweet tasting vape. This flavor has a weak-medium level of menthol in it. It’s quite weak but it still provides a noticeable amount of cooling.

Frozen Mango Berry

Like Strawnana Ice, this flavor is a really nicely done mix. The mango gives a nice tropical taste and overall it’s sweet and enjoyable. This is a mix that should be done more often. Fans of mango flavors will likely enjoy this smooth mix.

How Do They Vape?

Posh Plus XL disposables are filled with 60mg (6%) nicotine salt eliquid. They give a strong but smooth throat hit that is very satisfying for heavy vapers/smokers, but are not suited for more social smokers or those that don’t vape heavily. 

The draw is a nice mouth to lung draw that is looser than that of a cigarette but only slightly. Vapor is warm but verging on the cooler side of things so if you like a hot draw you will likely be disappointed.

The draw activation works well and I haven’t had any issues with it. Every time I take a draw, they start producing vapor immediately. I also haven’t had any of them leak on me or malfunction in any way.

Verdict

These are solid disposable vapes and probably among the best out there, but because of all of the ice and cooling flavors they’re not going to be for everyone. If you do like menthol though, there are a ton of flavor options to choose from. The performance of these is spot on and they will last longer than the competition.

At just $7.99 for up to 1500 puffs from a single disposable, the value you get from one of these Posh Plus XL’s is comparable to 3-4 standard disposable e-cigs. You really can’t go wrong. I highly recommend these to any beginner vaper who likes menthol, or to vapers looking for a long-lasting, hassle-free vaping experience.
