The bottom line
The VAPGO Chill Shisha isn’t your typical disposable, and so I tried not to judge it by the same criteria as I would other disposable vapes. It’s not meant to be high-nicotine and ultra-satisfying, and it’s not targeted at vapers who want a tight mouth-to-lung draw, either. So, who is it for?
Anyone who used to smoke and enjoy shisha will probably enjoy VAPGO’s Chill Shisha disposables. It’s such a similar experience that I’m surprised that they could pull it off. The one thing that I think VAPGO did differently, and right, is keeping the nicotine content low.
I’ve tried airy direct-lung disposables in the past, but these were still in the 30-50mg/ml range, which is much too high for the amount of vapor that a DL vape produces. The 0.6% strength here is perfect, allowing these disposables to be satisfying without being overwhelming or sickening.
Even if you’ve never tried shisha in your life, if you’re a vaper who currently vapes around the 6mg/ml strength with freebase ejuices, and you use a direct-lung setup like a mod and tank, you might want to give these a try. Who knows, you might like it!

Product Overview
In my early twenties, going to the shisha bar (or hookah bar, as some call it) was a regular occurrence. It was a great way to hang out with friends, enjoy some great food, and chat for hours while we puffed away.
For those of you unfamiliar with shisha, it’s essentially a large water pipe. At the top of the shisha is a bowl containing tobacco, sweeteners (such as molasses), and flavorings, all mixed together.
A piece of foil is placed over the top of this bowl, and holes are poked into the foil. Finally, a hot coal is placed on top of it. From here, you inhale through the long hose attached to the water bowl.
Those days are long gone, but I still get that itch to smoke shisha from time to time. Apparently, I’m not the only one, because a company called VAPGO has just released a disposable vape called the Chill Shisha 30K.
The Chill Shisha 30K offers an airy, direct-lung draw with adjustable airflow, and it’s my understanding that it’s designed to mimic the experience of smoking shisha, just without the tobacco.
In addition to the airy draw, the VAPGO Chill Shisha features 3-level ice control and two output modes: normal and turbo. It also features a rechargeable 1000mAh battery and comes pre-filled with 25ml of e-juice for up to 30,000 puffs. It only comes in one low-nicotine strength, 0.6% (6mg/ml), which makes sense for a direct-lung disposable.
Is the VAPGO Chill Shisha truly a mini, portable hookah? I tested it to find out.

Design & Build Quality
The VAPGO Chill Shisha is quite large for a disposable. It’s 129mm tall, which is massive, and it’s 35mm in diameter, so it’s pretty chunky too. It also has some weight to it, coming in at 115g, but it’s not as heavy as it looks. I thought it would weigh more, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Each flavor is wrapped in a different color of faux leather, which matches the flavor. Double apple is green, peach ice is peach, blue razz lemonade is blue, etc…
I think the leather looks tacky, but the quality is there. The faux leather is firmly affixed to the body of the device, with no peeling on any of my units. The designs engraved into the leather also look expertly machined. I might not like the look, but I can’t knock the build quality.
At the top of the Chill Shisha is a large, wide-bore mouthpiece made of plastic. The wide opening makes sense for a device trying to imitate the airy draw of a shisha water pipe, and it definitely does the job by allowing a lot of airflow.
On the opposite end, at the bottom of the device, there is an airflow control slider. This slider can be adjusted to fine-tune the draw from very airy to less so, but still a direct-lung draw. The slider is stiff at first, but loosens up over time. There’s not a very large range to adjust, but it still makes a noticeable difference.
This is a draw-activated device, so you have to inhale on the mouthpiece to vape. With the airflow wide open, it takes a decent amount of effort to get the device to activate; more so than on other, MTL vapes with tighter airflow.
However, inhaling on a shisha is a similar experience, as it also takes a lot of effort to pull. In this sense, I guess that VAPGO got it right, but if you’re expecting an easy-to-activate draw, you’ll be disappointed.
Closing the airflow slider helps with the draw activation, so this is a possible fix if you don’t mind the draw being a bit less airy.
Alongside the airflow control slider are the mode and ice control button, as well as a Type-C charging port.
The front of the Chill Shisha has a 1.75-inch color display. It’s very basic and not very informative, but it does offer some information on the mode you’re using (normal or turbo), the ice level the device is set to, and rough estimates of battery and e-juice levels.
The battery and e-juice levels are displayed as circles with three sections. As the battery or e-juice level depletes, the sections disappear. A percentage indicator would have been better, but at least the indicators give some idea of where the levels stand.
Features
Like the Lost Vape Orion Bar and OXBAR ICENIC, the VAPGO Chill Shisha features ice adjustment. Switching between the three levels is done by pressing the button on the bottom of the device. The green snowflake icon on the screen will illuminate the ice level you’ve selected, either 0, 1, or 2.
This same button is used to change between the two output modes: normal and turbo. Press the button twice to change between them. The display will flash and illuminate either ‘normal’ or ‘turbo’, so you know which mode you’ve selected.
Between the two modes and three ice levels, this means that there are six possible configurations in which the Chill Shisha can be used:
- Normal Mode, Level-0 Ice
- Normal Mode, Level-1 Ice
- Normal Mode, Level-2 Ice
- Turbo Mode, Level-0 Ice
- Turbo Mode, Level-1 Ice
- Turbo mode, Level-2 Ice
Add to this the fact that you can adjust the airflow, and you can see that there are quite a few ways to dial in the draw to your liking.
Each Chill Shisha disposable comes pre-filled with 25ml of ejuice, which VAPGO says can last for up to 30,000 puffs. I expect that this is only achievable by using the device exclusively in ‘normal’ mode; using turbo mode will significantly reduce the number of puffs you can expect to get.
Flavors
For being a shisha disposable, there are surprisingly few flavors that I recognize. I thought I would see more mint flavors, which are very popular in shisha, but there are only two in this lineup. Some recognizable flavors from the Chill Shisha range, which are popular shisha options, include double apple, Love 66, and grape mint.
I’m going to describe how five of the Chill Shisha flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor, this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.
Love 66
Although I’ve never tried this flavor in shisha, I’ve heard about it from friends and family. It’s apparently a popular flavor, and if it tastes anything like this vape does, I can see why. This is a mix of passion fruit, honeydew melon, watermelon, and mint, and it’s heavenly. Very tasty, and it’s a flavor that I keep coming back to, despite the low nicotine content.
Lush Ice
Watermelon is a staple vape flavor, and I imagine it’s pretty popular for shisha too. VAPGO’s version here isn’t as sweet as other Lush Ice disposables, and instead, it’s more subtle and light. The watermelon tastes somewhat floral, with most of the flavor coming through on the exhale.
Blue Razz Lemonade
I don’t taste much of the lemonade flavor at all, which is disappointing. The blue razz flavor is pretty good, but subtle like Lush Ice. The flavor that does come through is candied and sweet, leaving a sugary aftertaste once I finish exhaling.
Hubba
This flavor is weird and not at all what I expected from the name. I thought it would be more of a bubble gum flavor, but it’s something else entirely. I’d describe it as an ice cream and mint mix, with maybe some light fruit and candy flavor. Not my favorite flavor.
Strawberry Ice
This is one of the best flavors from the Chill Shisha lineup. The strawberry flavor tastes natural, sweet, and bold. It tastes juicy, and it’s delightful as an all-day vape. The cooling is barely noticeable with the ice level set to 0, but increases in intensity as the ice level is turned up. There’s still not much cooling with the ice level set to 2, though.
How do they vape?
VAPGO’s Chill Shisha disposables are different from other MTL disposable vapes, but they aren’t trying to compete with them. They offer a very airy draw, which is similar to shisha, but also similar to the draw from a sub-ohm tank or DL pod mod.
The low nicotine strength is really nice because I can puff away on these disposables without fear of getting nicotine sick or a headache. It’s a really different experience than I’m used to with disposables, but it’s a nice little change.
I’m more of an MTL vaper myself, but I can appreciate the direct-lung draw and what VAPGO is trying to do with the Chill Shisha. The flavors are pretty good, but I would have liked to see more mint options included.
The auto-draw sensitivity is lackluster when the airflow is entirely open, at least on some of my devices, and it takes a lot of effort to get the device to activate, which is not ideal. Making the auto-draw more sensitive would improve the experience, but as it stands, it makes the draw similar to a shisha, so I can’t fault VAPGO if that was their intention.
Between the two output modes, normal and turbo, I found turbo better. It’s a slightly more intense draw, and I get a lot more vapor than in normal mode. This comes down to preference, but if you’re looking for maximum clouds and a bit more satisfaction from the draw, turbo mode is where it’s at.
The ice control adds a little more iciness to the draw when set to level 2, but it’s maybe not as chilly as die-hard ice vapers might want. It’s rather mild cooling when compared to other disposable vapes, so keep this in mind if you’re grabbing these expecting brain freeze from the draw.
Verdict
The VAPGO Chill Shisha isn’t your typical disposable, and so I tried not to judge it by the same criteria as I would other disposable vapes. It’s not meant to be high-nicotine and ultra-satisfying, and it’s not targeted at vapers who want a tight mouth-to-lung draw, either. So, who is it for?
