Our Verdict

The ejuice viewing window is the standout feature of the PICCO and it’s great to have on a disposable. You know exactly how much ejuice you have left in the tank at all times, simply by a quick glance. The Juice Locking System also seems to make a difference to the flavor, as the initial draws taste fresh and dense; more flavorful and fresh than many other disposables that I’ve tried.

Since the PICCO only comes filled with 2ml of ejuice and a small 400mAh battery, they aren’t meant to last for weeks. They’re TPD compliant, which is nice if you live in the EU, and they’re very portable. You can use one for a few days and then switch the flavor, or use multiple at a time to switch up flavors. In any case, the short lifespan of these devices is something to factor into your purchase decision.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the PICCO and I liked most of the flavors that I tried. The experience of using these is a little different than other disposables due to the JLS and ejuice viewing window, but it’s a positive difference and these features make for a better disposable vaping experience.

VECEE has released a number of disposable vapes recently and the PICCO is one of them. It’s a TPD-friendly disposable that comes prefilled with 2ml of ejuice in 20mg nicotine salt strength. The PICCO is a lot like the VECEE LUKE that I reviewed the other week and it has many of the same features like an ejuice viewing window and VECEE’s “Juice Locking System”.

The ejuice viewing window on the PICCO allows you to see just how much ejuice is left in the disposable just by peeking through the tank on the front of the disposable. The PICCO is good for up to 600 puffs and has a non-rechargeable 400mAh battery.

The “Juice Locking System” is another interesting feature. It’s there to prevent leaking and allows you to open and close the ejuice reservoir by pushing or pulling the mouthpiece.

VECEE is a subsidiary of Yocan. They are a relatively new brand that primarily focuses on disposable vapes. Their goal is to maximize the ease of use of disposable e-cigarettes by implementing new innovative technologies into their products.

Design & Build Quality

  • VECEE PICCO Disposables Review - 3

The PICCO is a lot like the VECEE LUKE in its appearance. It’s tiny compared to a lot of other massive disposables on the market, which is nice to see. It’s a rather nice looking disposable and it seems to be of good manufacturing quality.

The PICCO is similar in size to the LUKE, but a little bit taller. It’s 99mm tall and it has a tube shape that is 15mm in diameter. The tube shape is pretty standard for a disposable vape and the PICCO is pretty light too. The lightweight makes sense because the PICCO only has a 400mAh battery which is non-rechargeable.

The one feature that you’ll notice right away is the ejuice viewing window. It’s shaped like a sort of upside-down triangle with rounded corners and sides and it gives you a nice view into the tank. These disposables come prefilled with 2ml of ejuice and this window allows you to see just how much ejuice is left. There’s a light tint to the window but it’s still easy to see inside.

This ejuice window solves a main issue that vapers have with disposables, which is not knowing when the ejuice is going to run out. It’s super useful when you’re going to be leaving the house or going on a long trip because you can know if it’s going to last or not.

Each device is finished with a soft-touch coating that feels super nice to hold. The color of the body closely matches the flavor inside and each flavor has a different two-tone gradient color. For example, Blue Fantasy fades from a light blue to a dark blue and it has a strong blue raspberry taste.

VECEE PICCO Disposables Review - 7

As much as I like the soft-touch body, there is a downside and that is how fast it gets dirty. If your hands are even a little dirty then the coating will pick up the dirt.

The drip tip is made of black plastic and it is not removable. It’s a rectangle shape that comes straight up, with no slope to it at all. While I wouldn’t say that it’s uncomfortable to use, a slanted mouthpiece would definitely have been nicer and more comfortable.

On the bottom of the PICCO is a black plastic base which houses the airflow inlet hole and a blue LED. The LED lights up each time that you take a puff. It’s a little bright in a completely dark room, and unfortunately you can’t cover it as this messes with the draw activation.

Features

  • VECEE PICCO Disposables Review - JLS Open

The most obvious feature of the PICCO is of course the ejuice viewing window. However, there’s another less obvious feature that is interesting to say the least. This is the “Juice Locking System”, or JLS.

What exactly is this Juice Locking System? Well, from the factory the PICCO ships with the inner wicking ports closed off from the ejuice inside of the tank. According to VECEE, this is to preserve the freshness of the ejuice. Once you take the PICCO out of the box and packaging, you simply press the mouthpiece down to open up the wicking ports and allow the ejuice to soak into the cotton.

In addition to keeping the ejuice and wick fresh until it arrives in your possession, you can also use this system to prevent leaking when you place it into your pocket, or if you aren’t going to be using the disposable for a while.

The VECEE LUKE featured a similar system, however you only had to turn the mouthpiece 45° on the LUKE to open or close the JLS. On the PICCO, it’s not as easy to use. Once you push the mouthpiece down to open up the wicking ports, the slick and small mouthpiece makes it hard to pull it back up again to lock it. It’s doable but can be difficult at times.

The PICCO is TPD compliant and comes filled with 2ml of ejuice in 20mg nicotine strength. If you’re used to vaping higher strength disposables then these will probably be too low strength for you, but they are still satisfying to vape on for what they are. I will touch more on their vaping satisfaction a little later on in this review.

Each PICCO has a 400mAh battery that is built-in and non-rechargeable. This should make each one good for up to around 600 puffs.

Flavors

VECEE PICCO Disposables Review - 1

While the PICCO is similar to the VECEE LUKE in its design, what’s interesting is that there are very few flavors that are shared between the two. They are still mostly fruit flavors and unfortunately there’s no tobacco flavor for the PICCO. These flavors are:

  • Tropical Breeze
  • Mystery Bubblegum
  • Vanilla Fizzle
  • Blue Fantasy
  • Cran Grape
  • Strawnana Pudding
  • Berri Lichi Chill
  • Arctic Melon
  • Strawberry Kiwi
  • Frozen Banana

I’ll describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Blue Fantasy

This is essentially a blue razz flavor with a different name and an altered flavor profile. I definitely taste the raspberry flavor which is the most prominent, but there’s also a blueberry flavor in here as well. I also think I taste black berries, which is nice. It’s a sweet flavor with some sugariness to it. If you like a sweeter blue raspberry vape then check out this flavor.

Vanilla Fizzle

Vanilla coke, anyone? On the inhale there is a strong vanilla flavor, along with a subtle taste of a cola soda pop. The cola taste gets stronger on the exhale and the vanilla gets more subtle. This flavor leaves a pleasant aftertaste in your mouth after you exhale, which is nice. This is one flavor that I just couldn’t put down and I’m going to continue vaping it after this review (for as long as it lasts anyway).

Strawnana Pudding

This tastes like strawberries and banana, as you would expect, with a strong pudding flavor. The banana and pudding flavors are the strongest, with strawberry following closely behind. I don’t think that I’ve had a strawberry banana pudding flavor before, so trying something different was nice. It’s a flavor that I wasn’t sure if I would like, but once I started vaping on it I found myself addicted to the taste.

Frozen Banana

This is a light banana flavor with some cooling paired along with it. The cooling isn’t very strong but rather to a mild level, and the banana flavor is creamy. It’s at the right level of sweetness, and the banana flavor is more towards the natural side of things. It’s a great flavor that I wouldn’t change anything about. Regardless of if you’re a menthol vaper or not, you will probably like this flavor if you enjoy banana vapes.

Tropical Breeze

Oh, this one is tropical alright! It’s a mix of pineapple and what tastes like mango, although I can’t say for certain. It’s definitely a fruity and tropical tasting mix and although I’m not entirely sure of the fruits involved, it tastes great. I can definitely put my finger on the pineapple flavor, and I think vapers who like fruit flavors will like what this flavor has to offer.

How Do They Vape?

VECEE PICCO Disposables Review - 2

These VECEE PICCO disposables provide a nearly identical vaping experience to the VECEE LUKE. They each provide a warm draw that is nearing cool, but this allows you to take long draws without burning your lips. The draw is a loose MTL draw that is also nice; not too tight and not too loose.

As I mentioned earlier, the PICCO is only available in 20mg (2%) nicotine strength. This means that the draw isn’t as strong as that of a higher nicotine disposable. They’re still nice to vape on and I get good satisfaction from them, but I had to take more frequent puffs in order to feel like I was getting the nicotine that I wanted.

With that being said, the draw still feels stronger than that of a 20mg disposable. They feel more like vaping on a 30mg disposable thanks to the dense vapor and strong throat hit and that’s good if you’re trying to cut down on your nicotine. You can use these to give you the feeling that you’re vaping on something higher, when in reality they’re only 20mg.

Of course, the ejuice viewing window is the most useful feature on the PICCO. You don’t need to worry about running out of ejuice at the worst time because you can easily see how much is left in the tank. This makes it perfect for long outings or road trips as you can be confident that you have enough juice to last you until you get home.

The initial flavor from these disposables is also very strong, probably thanks to the Juice Locking System. Once you push the mouthpiece down and wait a few minutes, the first few draws are very flavorful. This flavor continues to be very strong for a while, so I think there’s something to VECEE’s claims that this JLS keeps the ejuice fresh. I didn’t find the need to use the JLS through my time with the PICCO as none of my disposables leaked, but it’s a neat feature.

One last thing to mention about the PICCO is the small ejuice capacity. They only have 2ml of ejuice and a 400mAh battery, so you’re not going to be able to vape for weeks on a single disposable. Realistically, you can expect a couple of days out of each one. But because they’re so small, you can carry a few of these with you at one time if you want, or you can switch your flavor up every few days. Any way that you put it, these aren’t long lasting disposables so factor that into your purchase decision.

Verdict

You know exactly how much ejuice you have left in the tank at all times, simply by a quick glance.
