The bottom line

The Artrix Drillor is very comfortable to use and it’s evident that it is made with high-quality materials. The design is beautiful, yet durable. It has a very clean look that is simple, yet still effective for vaping distillates and oils.

The Drillor is extremely easy to fill but can only be used one time as I found it very difficult to remove the mouthpiece without damaging the liquid silicone material. It may be possible to remove and refill, but you’ll destroy the mouthpiece in the process.

For all intents and purposes, this is a single-use cartridge and that’s unfortunate. I felt that the coil still had life left in it after going through a full tank. This tank could definitely handle another fill, it’s just a matter of removing the mouthpiece without damage.

I really enjoyed using this cartridge and one major reason was the drip tip. The flexible, liquid-silicone mouthpiece uses double injection molding which guarantees a leak proof design. It also provides a sleek and comfortable feel on the lips.

The upside down Artrix logo as the max fill line allows you to fill your cartridge to the 1ml line without overfilling and causing any unwanted mess or loss of product. The all glass cartridge allows you to visually track your product level.

I did not have any issues with the cartridge getting clogged at all and it worked every time I went to take a draw. Each draw was flavorful and smooth; exactly what you want from a cartridge that you’re filling with expensive material.

If you’re looking for a new 510 cartridge that delivers excellent flavor and smooth draws, the Artrix Drillor is for you.

Artrix may not be a household name, but if their products are any representation of them as a company, I’d give them some well-earned praise.

Artrix specializes in cannabis hardware such as empty 510 cartridges that can be filled by the consumer, as well as refillable THC pod systems and disposable THC vapes.

Using a 3 in 1 service model that consists of marketing, consulting and great customer experience, Artrix aims to deliver well beyond the delivery of the product. With this system, they hope to reshape the meaning of cannabis hardware beyond the product’s design.

The Artrix Drillor is a 510 cartridge that is compatible with all 510 batteries. It holds up to 1ml of material and is compatible with THC and CBD distillates and vape oils. The Drillor has a standard 510 thread and uses a SUS316L (stainless steel) post that won’t interfere with the flavor of any product that you use.

The Artrix Drillor can be filled with your own product. Once you are done, you can install the soft, flexible mouthpiece that uses double injection molding to create a leak proof seal.

Is the Artrix Drillor 510 cartridge the next one that you should add to your shopping list, or is it a cartridge that you should skip out on? Keep reading to find out everything that you need to know.

Design & Build Quality

Artrix Drillor 510 Cartridge - 10

The Artrix Drillor is not standard by any means of the definition. It’s obvious to me that the design and quality of the cartridge has been meticulously thought out and planned. Additionally, this cartridge has a few perks that I have not seen on other carts.

The tank is made of high-strength borosilicate glass which is perfect for high temperatures; this is the same type of glass used in high end restaurants and labs. Printed on the glass is an upside down Artrix logo that is simply three lines that make a triangular shape. The line closest to the mouthpiece is the max fill line. When filled up, the cartridge can hold up to 1ml of distillate.

The central post is made of SUS316L. This stainless steel is known for its long life and since it’s inert it offers the bonus of not interacting or interfering with the flavor of the oil that you add. The post is placed in the center of the device, which gives ample room for filling.

The mouthpiece is what is the game changer for me. I absolutely love the look and feel of the mouthpiece on the Drillor. The circular shape, which is much different than the flat and oval shape typically seen on other cartridges, makes it very comfortable to use. The liquid silicone material, which makes the mouthpiece very soft, also adds to the comfort.

When installing the mouthpiece after filling, you will notice that you don’t have to worry about any of those annoying o-rings. Since the mouthpiece itself is made is flexible liquid silicone, it creates a tight seal when seated against the glass, making it as leak-proof as o-rings would.

Finally, the base of the cartridge has an anti-slip, knurled texture which is supposed to help with installing or removing the cartridge from the battery. While this textured base adds a bit of flair to the design, it’s not etched deep enough to really provide the grip that it’s supposed to.

Performance

Artrix Drillor 510 Cartridge - 12

I used the Artrix Drillor 510 cartridge with the new CCELL Go Stick and the combo performed great with oils and distillates. When using either THC oil or CBD distillate, I had no issues with wicking.

What I did, and what I suggest that you do as well, is to leave each cartridge for 3-4 hours after filling. This ensures that the cartridge has enough time to wick and will guarantee a good vaping experience when you start using the cartridge.

Rather than drawing on my cart once-in-a-while, I prefer longer sessions. That being said, I had no issues with the cartridge being able to keep up with my demand. It wicks very well and the flavor has been great throughout. The inlet holes allow the vapor to cool enough, but not too much, still providing a pleasantly warm draw.

The battery that I used features a low and high setting. Even on its high setting, the cartridge and vapor don’t get too hot. The Drillor offers warm, smooth and full flavor draws.

Filling the Drillor is also super simple, as you will see by my step-by-step instructions down below. The mouthpiece is also very easy to install, with no need for any extra tools.

How to use the Drillor 510 Cartridge

Artrix Drillor 510 Cartridge - 11

The Artrix Drillor 510 cartridge, like any user-fillable cartridge, can seem a little intimidating at first. But after just one fill, I felt like a pro. The steps are extremely simple. So much so that you shouldn’t have any trouble, even if you have never filled your own cartridge before.

To become a pro yourself, this is how to get started with the Drillor:

  1. To fill your Drillor 510 cartridge, take the tank and place it on a flat surface or hold in your hand for extra control. The cartridge comes without the mouthpiece attached, so grab your material of choice. The Drillor is compatible with concentrates like oil or distillate.
  2. Next, take your concentrate product and insert the needle into the tank. It’s possible to fill the tank without a needle but you will have to be a little more careful as to not make a mess.
  3. Fill the product to the top line closest to the mouthpiece; this marking shows the maximum 1.0ml capacity.
  4. Take the mouthpiece and snap it into place pushing down vertically. For this step you will want to have the tank resting on a flat surface, such as a table, to ensure that the mouthpiece is fully seated.
  5. Once you have filled your tank and installed the mouthpiece, let the tank sit for 3-4 hours before use. This will give the wick enough time to fully saturate and eliminate any unwanted or premature burning of the coil.
  6. After the 4 hour waiting period, remove the rubber stopper from the base and screw the tank onto your battery.
  7. Now you are ready to use your Drillor.
