Our Verdict
The OXVA Xlim Pro is a great all-around device. It is beautifully designed and built to last. It is an excellent option for MTL users because whether you prefer a tighter mouth to lung draw or a looser MTL draw, the adjustable airflow allows you to set it just right for you. The all new top filling pods also eliminate any issues with leaking, so it’s a hassle-free device too.
The OLED mini screen offers all of the needed information including: wattage, battery, resistance, puff count and whether your device is locked or unlocked. The all new RGB light bar comes with four different settings including the option of being able to turn it off completely. This light bar makes the device more modern and it’s a nice design touch.
There wasn’t anything about this device that disappointed me. The only con I can think of is that the display does not illuminate when you draw on the device. The only time the screen turns on is when the power button is activated, whether you press it to draw or are using it to adjust something on the device. It would have been nice if it turned on with draw activated firing as well.
Overall, I would strongly suggest this device to any vaper who is looking for a sturdy, well designed and well-made device that offers great flavor and excellent battery life.
At first sight, you can clearly see that the OXVA Xlim Pro is the most classy and premium pod device that has been released in the Xlim series. Previous versions of the OXVA Xlim have been good, but the look and feel of the new Xlim Pro is what takes this Xlim to another level.
There are many new upgrades to the Xlim Pro that previous versions lacked. The body of the device is made of more durable and premium materials that make the device a real looker. The smoothed out edges also make the device more comfortable to hold.
The other major improvement made to the Xlim Pro is the all new top filling port which allows you to fill the pod without removing it. These new pods are also compatible with all previous Xlim devices like the XLIM V2, but not the Xlim C.
The Xlim Pro has adjustable wattage control from 5-30W, is button and draw activated, and has a 1000mAh rechargeable battery that charges through the USB-C charging port at the bottom of the device. The Xlim Pro is available in 8 different designs, six of which have iridescent/holographic panels and two which have carbon fiber panels.

Design & Build Quality
If you were a fan of the design of previous Xlim pod devices, prepare to have your mind blown. The newest Xlim device, the Xlim Pro, is absolutely stunning and made of more high-end materials than previous Xlim devices. This version is for sure the most durable, classy and supreme version of any Xlim device that I have used.
The new design and materials have amped up the Xlim Pro and have contributed to a beautiful device. The Xlim Pro is 111mm tall, 24mm wide and 14mm deep. The Xlim Pro and Xlim C are pretty much identical in size, but the Xlim Pro is significantly heavier, weighing 66g, whereas the Xlim C weighs only 45g.
The device’s weight increase has a lot to do with the newer and higher quality materials. There are eight different design options for the Xlim Pro. The one that I am using for this review is the Black Gold option, which features black carbon fiber panels and a gold bezel.
The front of the device has a mini OLED screen centered in the middle. This screen provides all necessary information with the click of a button.
This screen tells you your wattage level, whether the device is locked or unlocked, the resistance of the coil installed, and even the puff count. The screen only turns on when the power button is pressed, whether you click it once to check the screen or you use the button to draw. The screen does not illuminate when you use draw activation.
Just below the screen there is an RGB light bar that illuminates as you draw on the device. This lights up whether you use draw or button activation. It makes the device look more modern but it is quite bright. If this is something you do not like, there is the option of turning it off completely. The RGB light bar and OLED screen are encased in a golden border that again adds to the overall premium look of the device and gives it a more finished look.
The black carbon fiber panel is well made and looks to be made with materials that are set to last. There is a small OXVA logo at the bottom of the panel. The back panel is made of the same carbon fiber design. It does not have any logos or writing on the back of the device.
Outside of these two panels, the device is made entirely of a gold painted zinc alloy metal. I am a huge fan of the rounded edges here as I found previous Xlim devices to be a little rough around the edges, no pun intended. The smoothed edges of the Xlim Pro have made the device more comfortable to hold.
One side of the device has the power/draw button that is raised and responds well. It has a nice click and is easy to use. It takes a little effort to press the button so that may help with any accidental firings in your pocket or bag.
On the other side of the device is the adjustable airflow control. This is very similar to previous devices and still features the three slotted holes to adjust the airflow. The slider is firm but works well and doesn’t move on its own. Near the bottom of this side there is also a small Xlim Pro logo etched in the metal.
At the base of the device is the Type-C charging port. This device does support pass-thru charging so no need for a spare device when this guy runs out of battery.
Pods
It seems as though every time OXVA comes out with a device, there is some type of upgrade to the pods. I have to give OXVA credit, when customers complain about design flaws or issues with the device, they actively try to remedy the issue or completely overhaul the design to improve the customers overall experience.
The Xlim Pro comes with an all new top-filling pod system. These pods may be mistaken for most top filling pods which require a cap to be removed to fill the pod, but the Xlim Pro has done something different.
The refill port is on the side of the pod like many other pods on the market. But this one does not require you to remove the pod to fill. The filling port is completely exposed and does not get hidden when the pod is inserted into the device. The rubber stopper is almost unnoticeable and it’s well designed to look nice, which is good considering it is exposed.
The shape and size of the pod make it very comfortable to use. The new pods are tinted, but with a decent light source you can easily see the ejuice level inside.
These new top-filling pods are also compatible with other Xlim devices except the Xlim C. They are available in the following resistances:
- Xlim Top Fill Cartridge 0.6Ω
- Xlim Top Fill Cartridge 0.8Ω
- Xlim Top Fill Cartridge 1.2Ω
How to use the Xlim Pro
The Xlim Pro offers some features that are useful, while still not being too overwhelming for new users. These features include allowing you to adjust the wattage, locking the device, and adjusting the RGB LED bar. For those of you who are newer to vaping, the features are easy enough to use.
To turn on the device, press the power button 5 times. To adjust the wattage, click the power button three times and your wattage number should start flashing. Then you can press the power button to increase the wattage by 0.5W increments.
The Xlim Pro will round robin the wattage so once you reach the max wattage for the resistance of the coil you have inserted, it will go right back to 5W again.
A great feature for newer users is that when you insert a pod, the device automatically sets it to the recommended wattage. This will give you an idea of where to start. Then you can increase or decrease the wattage to your liking. Another great feature is that the device will not allow you to set the wattage to higher than what the coil can handle.
Locking and unlocking the device is also very easy. To unlock or lock the device, simply press the power button four times.
Button Combinations:
- Power On/Off: Press power button 5 times
- Adjust Wattage: Press the power button 3 times, then press button 1 time to increase the wattage by 0.5 increments.
- RGB Light adjustments: Press the button twice in 1 second to change the lighting between the three different lighting options.
- Reset Puff Count: Press the power button 7 times quickly to reset the puff count.
The settings for the RGB Lights are as follows:
- RGB multicolor lighting.
- Sequential blue light.
- Solid blue light.
- Light off.
Whichever you set it to will work when you draw on the device.
Airflow
The airflow adjustment on the Xlim Pro is very similar to that of previous versions of the Xlim lineup. The Xlim Pro features a slider adjustment airflow that has three slots. Whether you like a more restricted mouth to lung draw or a looser mouth to lung draw the Xlim Pro’s adjustable airflow allows you to set it to exactly what you like.
I found that both pods provided similar airflow and I wasn’t able to notice too much of a difference between the two.
Battery & Charging
The Oxva Xlim Pro comes with a 1000mAh battery that is rechargeable using Type-C. The battery size has been increased, but will that allow for longer lasting battery life than the XLIM C?
Well, I found that the battery lasted about the same amount of time as the Xlim C device, about two days of use. Considering that the battery size has been increased, I can only assume that the RGB light bar is eating up some of the battery, as it illuminates every time you take a puff.
Once I turned off the light, I noticed that I was able to get more time vaping out of a charge. I am a fan of the RGB lights though, so two days without needing a charge is good enough for me. But for those of you looking to get as much time as possible without having to recharge, you might want to turn off the RGB lighting.
Even with the RGB light on, I was still able to get two full pods and over two days of usage before needing to charge the device. It takes less than an hour to charge the device from completely dead. The Xlim Pro supports pass-thru charging so you won’t be stranded for a device when it dies.
Performance
I think the biggest thing that stood out to me with the performance of the Xlim Pro is that, compared to that of other devices in the lineup, I didn’t have any condensation or ejuice leaking out.
Every time I removed the pod to check, it was bone dry. This is a great upgrade from previous versions as the pods did struggle with leaking and condensation. The new top filling side port was a game changer here.
I found the flavor from the 0.6Ω pod to be a little better than the 0.8Ω pod, but overall there isn’t that much of a difference between the two. This pod does best when vaped between 20-25W. I usually set my wattage to the middle of the suggested wattage and was very pleased with the flavor and vapor.
Like I said, there isn’t too much of a difference with these pods and the 0.8Ω pod is very similar to the 0.6Ω pod. The suggested wattage setting for the 0.8Ω pod is between 12-16W. As I prefer a warmer draw, I set this to 16W and was very satisfied.
I have been using these pods for quite some time and have refilled both of them numerous times. I still have not noticed any flavor change or performance drop off. These pods are very flavorful and last a long time. Not to mention the top filling port and no leaking issues makes it a good option for vapers looking for a leak-free experience.
