- Great flavors
- Good battery life
- Has pass-thru charging; can be used while charging
CONS
- Puff count is misleading
- Replacement pods are expensive (~14 USD)
- Poor value compared to other disposables
- Limited flavor selection
The bottom line
Iโm not thrilled with the overstated puff count of the RAZ VUE, nor the pricing of the replacement pods. The battery percentage indicator being only for the base is another issue, but at least the e-juice pod has an LED indicator.
Itโs a shame that the price of a replacement pod is on par with buying another disposable brand that comes with more e-juice. If the replacement pods were cheaper, then maybe the VUE could be a good value, but as it stands, paying $14 USD for a VUE replacement pod when you could pay close to the same price for a disposable with more puffs just doesnโt make sense.
If we forget cost and value just for a second, though, the RAZ VUE vapes really well. It lives up to the high standards that RAZ has established as a brand, and itโs super satisfying and problem-free to use.
The flavors are really great, the draw and satisfaction are on point, and the battery lasts long enough to get good use out of a charge without feeling anxious about being away from a charger.
When it comes to how it vapes, the RAZ VUE is up there with the best disposables. But considering the value, itโs hard to recommend.

Product Overview
The RAZ VUE is one of RAZ’s latest high-puff disposables, and itโs a little different from their other products, such as the RAZ DC25000, which we reviewed back in 2024.
Rather than an e-juice tank that is built in and non-removable, the VUE is the first RAZ vape with a detachable battery and magnetic swappable pods. When youโre feeling a new flavor, or when the pod runs out, you simply swap out the pod for a new one and keep the same battery.
Notable specs include a 1320mAh battery (420mAh pod + 900mAh base), two output modes (normal and boost), a transparent e-juice tank, and an HD display. There are 10 flavors to choose from, all of which are available in 5% (50mg/ml) nicotine strength.
Iโve been testing the VUE for close to two weeks now, and Iโve really been liking it. But like any vape, there are some things you should know before you decide to pick one of these up. Letโs get into the review.

- MTL Draw
- Three airflow modes
- Two power modes

Design & Build Quality
The RAZ VUE is marketed as a disposable vape, but itโs somewhat of a hybrid between a disposable and a pod vape. You dispose of the pod when the e-juice is finished, but you can reuse the battery base. Unfortunately, you canโt refill the pod, so itโs not a โtrueโ pod vape, but being able to reuse the main battery base is certainly a good thing.
The design reminds me of the Geekvape Aegis HERO devices, like the HERO 5. Itโs a nice design, with a thick metal-like bezel and a plastic body. The e-juice pod magnetically attaches from the top and slots in to form the โgripโ of the device, sitting within the bezel.
This is nice because the e-juice tank is transparent, with only a slight tint, so you can easily see how much e-juice is left. The flavor is also printed on the e-juice tank and visible when inserted, so itโs no mystery what flavor you have loaded up.
The top of the device has a Type-C charging port under a rubber cover that charges both the e-juice tank and the battery base.
The display on the VUE is bright and clear, but itโs nothing to write home about. Itโs just a backlit display for the most part, but there is a percentage indicator for the battery as well. The display shows which mode youโre in, normal or boost, and you can swap between the modes using the button located just above the display. Normal functions at 12W, and boost outputs 24W for a more powerful draw.
The bottom of the e-juice tank has an airflow control switch with three modes: closed, two holes open, or three holes open. Thereโs an opening at the bottom of the battery base that lets you adjust the airflow even with the e-juice tank inserted, so you donโt have to remove it to change the airflow.
Features
An interesting feature of the RAZ VUE is that both components have a battery: the battery base and the e-juice tank. The base has a 900mAh battery, while the e-juice tank has a smaller 420mAh cell for a total battery capacity of 1320mAh.
You can use the e-juice tank completely by itself and adjust the airflow too, although you wonโt be able to switch the output mode between normal and boost. Whatโs most interesting, though, is that even when the battery base is depleted, and the display reads 0% battery, the display and mode switching still function and run off the 420mAh battery in the e-juice tank.
Itโs great that the pod has a battery and you can continue vaping even when the battery base is depleted, but is the battery readout really all that useful if itโs only tracking the battery of the base?
The e-juice tank has an LED indicator that lights up green when itโs full, blue when itโs mid-charge, and red when itโs close to dying, so you get some indication of when the battery is actually going to die, but it would have been better if the display percentage tracked the pod battery, too.
As a side note, because the e-juice tank has a battery, you canโt just throw it in the trash; make sure to dispose of it in a battery/electronics recycling bin.
RAZ markets the VUE as a 50,000 puff disposable vape, but the pod only comes with 13ml of e-juice, so how is that possible? The answer: itโs not.
On their distributor website, which features a breakdown of the specs, it states: โSystem puffs 50,000 across pods. Per pod ~12,500 puffs.โ
I would go so far as to call this deceptive marketing, because you only get one pod with the starter kit, which is 12,500 puffs. This means you have to buy three extra pods to get the 50K puffs the packaging suggests youโll get from a single pod, which doesnโt seem right.
It says right on the packaging: 12W Normal mode > 50K, 24W Boost mode > 25K. While it doesnโt explicitly say “puffs” on the package (though it does say “50K puffs” in some marketing pictures), what else are these numbers supposed to be? The battery can definitely be recharged and used for more than four pods, so by this logic, why stop at 50K? Why not call this the RAZ VUE 100K or 200K? Itโs misleading at best.
Flavors
While RAZ, as a brand, offers over 100 flavors across its disposable devices, the VUE has a pretty limited flavor selection. There are only 10 flavors available, but the bright side is that they all sound tasty! The flavors available for the RAZ VUE are:
- Strawberry Blast
- Watermelon Ice
- White Gummy
- Blue Razz Ice
- Triple Berry Lime
- Hawaiian Punch
- Miami Mint
- Pineapple MTN Dew
- Polar Ice
- Sour Apple Ice
Iโm going to describe how three of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I donโt like a flavor, it doesnโt mean you wonโt like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.
White Gummy
This has a sugary and very sweet flavor with candied notes. Itโs similar to other white gummy and regular gummy flavors Iโve tried, but if you like those flavors, this one is great. Itโs not too sweet to vape on all day long either, so even if you just like sweet flavors, you could give this one a try.
Triple Berry Lime
This is a flavor you donโt see every day. Itโs mostly a berry/fruity flavor, but I can taste a bite of lime on the exhale. If youโre expecting big lime flavor, youโll be disappointed, but if you get this expecting a berry flavor with a hint of lime, then there will be no surprises. Still a good flavor!
Pineapple MTN Dew
I saved the best for last. This is a really good, tart pineapple flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. A fizzy, soda flavor comes through as well, which really brings the flavor up a notch.
How long do they last?
The 1320mAh total battery capacity between the base and e-juice pod allows the RAZ VUE to go for days, especially if you stick to using the 12W normal mode.
This will obviously vary depending on how much you vape, but you can expect 2-3 days per charge with average use. Thatโs what Iโve been getting, and each charge uses up about a quarter to a third of the e-juice in the pod.
The RAZ VUE only has 1A charging, so it takes an hour to fully recharge when both the base and e-juice pod are dead. Luckily, thereโs pass-thru charging, so you can still vape on it while it recharges.
On the topic of how long these last, letโs talk pricing. Iโm seeing the kit being sold for around $16 USD. This gets you a reusable battery and a pod with 13ml of ejuice for ~12,500 puffs. Replacement pods are $14 USD. With this pricing, youโre better off buying something like the Dinner Lady Galax, which comes prefilled with 24ml of e-juice for $10 USD, or the Geek Bar Pulse X, which comes with 18ml of e-juice for $16.
At $14 USD for a replacement pod, the pricing just doesnโt make much sense when compared to other disposable options. In the long run, youโre spending more money for fewer puffs, just so that you can reuse the same battery base.
How do they vape?
For all the disappointment that I have with the misleading puff count rating, the RAZ VUE makes up for it with how well it vapes. Sure, youโre not going to get anywhere near 50K puffs from a single pod, but the 12,500 puffs that you do get are all very enjoyable.
In normal mode, the draw is warm and extremely smooth. The flavors express themselves well, and the 50mg/ml nicotine strength delivers a really good throat hit with ample satisfaction. Switching it to boost mode makes the draw noticeably stronger, as itโs an increase from 12W to 24W, but it doesnโt make it too strong. Itโs hotter, but still just as smooth, with the satisfaction from each draw turned up a couple of notches.
The airflow control slider works very well and actually changes the draw. With the more restrictive setting of two airflow holes, itโs a tight mouth-to-lung draw, and the vapor is also warmer. Switching to the more open setting of three airflow holes keeps the draw mouth-to-lung, but itโs just a tiny bit looser, which might be more enjoyable for some. I liked both settings, but if I had to choose one, Iโd go with the tighter setting personally.
Verdict
