Our Verdict

The Binaries 6K devices are another great disposable vape by Horizon Tech. The design and size are much better than the Binaries Cabin (in my opinion) and they perform just as well if not better.

The thing that I like most is the amount of flavors and the uniqueness of their flavor offerings — where else are you going to find Pineapple Upside Down Cake or Strawberry Peach Yogurt? If you’re tired of vaping the same old flavors all the time, then I think you’ll find a nice change with at least one of their 25 flavors.

These disposables are satisfying, the flavor is good, and the draw can be tailored to your liking. Whether you like a loose MTL vape or a tight MTL vape, the adjustable airflow dial will allow you to get the draw to just how you like it. For me, this was with the airflow midway closed, but you can experiment for yourself until you get it just right for you.

If you ask me, I think that the Binaries 6K are Horizon Tech’s new best disposable vape and it might just be one of the best disposable vapes that you can get right now, period. It’s portable, it’s flavorful, it’s satisfying, and each one lasts for a long time; I can easily recommend the Binaries 6K.

Horizon Tech are a brand that are best known for their subohm tanks like the Falcon 2, Sakerz Master, and most recently, the Aquila. All of their tanks are known for their awesome flavor delivery, big clouds, and long coil life, and they are consistently praised by the vaping community. Horizon Tech has their research and development down when it comes to making flavorful tanks and recently they’ve expanded into producing disposable vapes.

Horizon Tech’s first disposable was the Binaries Cabin, which garnered high ratings all around from our team (you can check out our Binaries Cabin review here).

Today, I’m reviewing the Binaries 6K, which is their latest disposable. It’s similar to the Binaries Cabin but it’s much smaller and so it comes prefilled with less ejuice. As the name suggests, the Binaries 6K offers 6000 puffs from its 15ml of prefilled ejuice. It’s available in 25 flavors and in only one nicotine strength, 50mg (5%). Each Binaries 6K has a 650mAh battery which is rechargeable with Type-C charging.

Like its predecessor, the Binaries 6K has an adjustable airflow dial which can be used to tailor the draw to your preference. Is the Binaries 6K a disposable vape that you should consider? Is it better than the Binaries Cabin? I’ll answer these questions and more in this review.

Design & Build Quality

  • Binaries 6K Disposables - 1

The Binaries 6K is the little brother of Horizon’s Binaries Cabin disposables. It’s much smaller and more compact than the Binaries Cabin, so it’s much more portable and easy to take around. The Binaries 6K is 78mm tall, 48mm wide, and 22mm deep, compared to the Binaries Cabin which is 97mm tall, 53mm wide, and 26mm deep.

With the two devices side by side for a comparison, the Binaries Cabin absolutely dwarfs the Binaries 6K. I think that Horizon Tech had portability in mind with the Binaries 6K as some people didn’t like how large the Binaries Cabin is.

They’ve done a good job making the Binaries 6K small without sacrificing or compromising on the amount of ejuice that it comes with, which is still a lot at 15ml. Paired with the rechargeable 650mAh battery, you can get up to 6000 puffs per disposable.

The Binaries 6K is also a nicer looking device. The shell is made entirely out of a shiny plastic and it features more rounded edges and a less boxy shape than the Binaries Cabin. The colors are all very vibrant, no matter the flavor that you pick, and all of the Binaries 6K flavors have a two-tone shell that really stands out. They’re small and even concealable in your hand, but the vibrant colors still attract attention.

  • Binaries 6K Disposables - 10

Each Binaries 6K has “BINARIES 6K” printed on the front, as well as the flavor and nicotine strength. The mouthpiece is plastic and comfortable with a small round opening.

On the side of the Binaries 6K there is an airflow adjustment dial which is similar to the one found on the Binaries Cabin. The dial can be turned counter clockwise to open up the airflow, and clockwise to restrict the airflow. You can achieve anywhere from a loose MTL draw with the airflow fully open, down to a tight MTL draw with the airflow closed down.

The airflow dial has a bit of resistance when adjusting it, which is good because it doesn’t feel cheap and it also stays wherever it is set.

On the bottom of the Binaries 6K there is an LED light and a Type-C charging port. The light isn’t too bright, even in a dark room, and the color changes slightly based on the color of the shell.

Flavors

Binaries 6K Disposables - 2

One of the biggest selling points for the Binaries 6K is the flavors. Not only are there over 25 flavors to choose from, but the flavor options are some of the most unique that I’ve ever seen offered. There are some “standard” flavors like strawberry and blue razz, but I guarantee you that there are some flavors here that you’ve never even thought of before. The flavors are:

  • Aloe Grape
  • Aperol Spritz Ice
  • Apple Pie
  • Blackberry Bubblegum
  • Berries Margarita
  • Blue Raspberry Pink Lemonade
  • Blue Razz
  • Blue Razz Lemon Muffins
  • Blueberry Baked Donuts
  • Butterscotch
  • Cherry Pie
  • Creamy Caramels
  • Gingerbread Men Cookies
  • Lemon Meringue Pie
  • Marshmallow
  • Mint
  • Pineapple Upside Down Cake
  • Portuguese Custard Tarts
  • Rainbow Candy
  • Strawberry
  • Strawberry Cheese Cake
  • Strawberry Grape
  • Strawberry Peach Yogurt
  • Triple Berry Crisp
  • Vanilla Custard
  • Watermelon Ice
  • Watermelon Smoothie

Blackberry Bubblegum? Strawberry Peach Yogurt? Portuguese Custard Tarts? The flavors are so out there that they could either be really great or really bad, but I’ve tried the majority of them and they’re all actually better than you would think.

I’m going to describe how five of these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Blackberry Bubble Gum

I get the flavor of sweet blackberries, followed by an unmistakable bubble gum taste shortly after. The bubble gum flavor is really well done and extremely accurate, as is the blackberry flavor. This flavor is a bit sweet for my liking but it’s still one that I vaped all the time. I think it would be better if the sweetness was toned down a bit but I like it a lot.

Apple Pie

This is a flavor that you will either love or you’ll hate. The pie flavor is very strong and might be overpowering for some. It’s an authentic taste though and the similarity to an actual apple pie is crazy. Dessert flavor lovers will appreciate this flavor, although for me I think that it’s a bit too rich and bold. I liked taking a few puffs here and there from this flavor but it’s not one that I can vape all day long.

Watermelon Smoothie

I found this flavor to be a lot like other watermelon or lush ice flavors, just without any cooling whatsoever. It’s a strong and natural watermelon taste and the sweetness is at just the right amount where it’s enjoyable and tasty. If you like natural tasting watermelon vapes then this is a prime candidate to pick up.

Lemon Meringue Pie

This is another dessert flavor but unlike Apple Pie, the pie flavor is toned down and not as rich and powerful. This flavor has sweet but tangy lemon notes that are just perfect and it reminds me a lot of a famous lemon tart ejuice flavor, only in a disposable. This is easily my favorite flavor out of all of the ones that Horizon offers for the Binaries 6K.

Strawberry

This is a good strawberry flavor if you like natural strawberry vapes. The sweetness is there but equivalent to what you would get from an actual strawberry. It’s not artificially sweet tasting but still enough sweetness that you enjoy vaping on it. There’s no candying to the strawberry flavor at all, which is nice, and this makes a good all day vape to keep with you.

How Do They Vape?

Binaries 6K Disposables - 4

The Binaries 6K disposables offer all of what you would want from a large capacity disposable but in a smaller body that is much more portable. They have a 1.0Ω mesh coil on the inside and I find them to vape a lot like the Binaries Cabin. What’s nice is that these still have 15ml of ejuice but their size doesn’t give you any indication that they hold this much.

They’re all very satisfying to vape with, as they should be for a 50mg (5%) disposable. This is the only strength that they are offered in at the moment, so those who are used to vaping on lower strength disposables might find them to be too strong. For those who are used to 5% though, these will give that hit and satisfaction that you’re looking for while still being smooth to vape on. The draw is really warm too and gets warmer the more you restrict down the airflow.

I found this sweet spot for me to be with the airflow halfway closed. This way I get a medium MTL draw, warm vapor, and the full flavor that each one has to offer.

These are draw activated only, like most disposables, so inhaling on the mouthpiece is all that you need to do to vape. The draw activation is tuned perfectly to activate with little effort, but I’ve never had any of my units activate on me by themselves.

My Binaries 6K disposables have been free of issues during the entire duration of my review, which is about two weeks. They haven’t leaked, malfunctioned, or done anything out of the ordinary. As of the time of writing this review, they’re also all still functioning happily.

Horizon Tech claims that these disposables can get you up to 6000 puffs. While I haven’t used any of them nearly long enough to say if this is the case, I’ve recharged a few of them a couple of times and they’re still going strong. On my units that I’ve recharged 3-4 times, I’ve probably gotten 1000+ puffs and they aren’t showing any signs of degradation or any performance drop whatsoever.

  • Are any of the flavors iced or menthol-tasting? I’m not too fond of anything minty or iced and it’s hard to find a disposable that isn’t iced. like many vapers I have wasted so much money on disposables that are iced covertly for some reason.
I look forward to your response. Thanks!

    • You’re definitely right on the covert ice vapes; it can be so annoying when companies don’t mention that a flavor has cooling!

Of the flavors that I tried, I didn’t taste ice in any of them and I’m pretty sensitive to cooling in vape flavors.
