Our Verdict

The Innokin Klypse is a great device if you are just starting out or if you are looking for something that is super user friendly and easy to just vape with. There are lots of pros for this device, including the long lasting battery life, great flavor, and an overall great design which includes the magnetic dust cap.

As for the cons of the Klypse, there aren’t that many. The device only comes with one pod and when I say they are difficult to remove, I am not joking. And with having to remove the pod to fill, as well as to check the ejuice level, this quickly becomes irritating.

Another issue is that the device only uses one colored light for battery and this doesn’t give you much information other than knowing your device has more than 10% battery, or that it is below 10%.

As a whole, the Klypse has a lot more pros than cons. If these minor cons are things that you can look past, and if you are looking for a loose MTL device that is portable, lightweight, and performs at a top level, then I can easily recommend picking one up.

Innokin is no stranger when it comes to the vape world. They offer a wide selection of vape devices that cater to all types of vapers, including new users and even more advanced vapers. They have disposables, pod vapes, tanks and kits, with two of their latest devices being the Coolfire Z60 and Sceptre 2

Today, I am reviewing the Innokin Klypse pod vape. It fires at up to 16W and has a built in 700mAh battery that is rechargeable with Type C charging. It comes with a 0.8Ω Klypse mesh pod that holds up to 2ml of ejuice.

The Klypse comes in twelve different color options, with some of the colors being solid and some being a gradient of two colors. The Klypse also comes with a convenient dust cap that is implemented into the design in a unique and interesting way.

Design & Build Quality

  • Innokin Klypse - With Dust Cap Attached

The Innokin Klypse is a very unique device and at first glance you probably wouldn’t even know that it is a vape. It almost looks like a small power bank, but I will explain why it has such an interesting and almost deceiving design later on.

The Klypse is a good sized device standing at 94mm tall, 29mm wide and 15.2mm deep. It is also rather light and super portable. You should have no issues fitting this device in even the smallest of pockets.

I received the Violet version of the Innokin Klypse for the purpose of this review and the blue-purple gradient is stunning. The paint is of high quality and hasn’t chipped or peeled over the few weeks that I have been testing it out.

The body of the Klypse is oval shaped, but it has two flat panels, one on either side, which make the shape not so circular. These flat panels help with gripping the device as the aluminum alloy material can be quite slippery. The Klypse is a very simple device and it has a clean design with not too much going on.

The front of the device is where you will find the first flat panel. This panel is all black and has the word Innokin printed in a reflective silver color. Hidden under this thin black panel is the white LED battery light.

On the back of the Klypse, located on the left side, is another thin and flat panel which is the same material and color as the rest of the device. The word Klypse is printed in the same reflective silver color.

On either side of the device you will find a tiny airflow hole, as well as the Type C charging port which is located just under one of the holes.

Now let’s get into the most interesting thing about this device; the dust cap. This is the main reason why the Klypse has such a unique and interesting look. It sits flush with the device and clicks into place over the mouthpiece, sitting securely with no wiggle or movement.

One of the interesting things about this specific dust cap design is that the device does not have to have a pod installed for it to attach to the device. It does so with or without a pod.

But what normally happens when you get a dust cap with a device? You lose it, right? I have a hard enough time not losing my vape, let alone a small dust cap.

Innokin Klypse - Pod and Magnetic Bottom Connection

But Innokin thought of this and made it so that the top part of the dust cap and the base of the device are magnetic, thus allowing you to store your dust cap at the base of the device while you vape. The magnet is very strong and holds the dust cap securely in place.

The only con about the dust cap is that it does make the device longer when it is connected to the bottom of the vape. By no means is this a deal breaker but it’s definitely something worth keeping in mind.

The Klypse is available in twelve different color options, with some of the colors being solid and some being a gradient of two colors. These colors are:

  • Mint
  • Indigo
  • Blush
  • Scarlet
  • Graphite
  • Charcoal
  • Chartreuse
  • Gold
  • Peach
  • Phantom
  • Sunset
  • Violet

Pods

Innokin Klypse - Pod and Battery Connection

The Innokin Klypse comes with only one pod in the box. I really wish that it came with two, but what can you do? The 0.8Ω Klypse mesh pod is optimized for use at lower wattages and delivers a nice loose MTL draw. It can hold up to 2ml of ejuice and the flavor is really good. I used a 20mg Watermelon Grape nic salt ejuice and this device delivered the best flavor out of any device that I have tried this ejuice with.

One thing that I found is that it is a little difficult to remove the pod from the device. The magnetic suction of the pod is super strong, causing it to be hard to take out. If you can get a good grip and give it a nice tug then it will come out, but you’re going to have to work for it.

Innokin Klypse - Pod Fill Port

You can see a decent amount of the ejuice without having to remove the pod, but there is a lot of the pod that is hidden inside of the device. If you’ve been vaping on the device for a while and your ejuice level is getting low, you will have to remove the pod in order to check your ejuice level.

To fill the Klypse mesh pod, remove the black rubber stopper located on the side of the pod, insert your ejuice bottle, and fill. When you’re done, make sure that the rubber stopper is completely closed in order to prevent any leaking.

If you are just filling the pod for the first time, give it about 5 minutes before you vape. This gives the coil time to saturate and will prevent you from burning your coil before you even get a chance to use it.

Battery & Charging

Innokin Klypse - With Dust Cap Attached 3

The Innokin Klypse comes with a built-in 700mAh battery. It can be charged using the Type-C charging port located on the side of the device. Due to the low output of the Klypse, you can get over 2 days before needing to recharge. I would consider myself to be a fairly heavy vaper and even I got two and half days before I had to charge.

The LED on the front black panel will light up every time that you insert the pod and each time that you take a draw. The light only uses one color so keep an eye out for when it starts flashing as that is when it will need to be charged.

This is one of my main issues with the Klypse; it only has a single battery LED color. You can never be quite sure where your battery life is sitting. This sucks, because you only really know that the battery is low when the white LED starts flashing, and at this point you’re under 10%. If Innokin had just made this a three color battery life indicator, it would have been so much better.

It should take approximately one hour to charge from dead. The Klypse offers pass-thru charging so you don’t have to wait for it to finish charging to use it.

Battery LED

  • Battery >10%: Solid white light
  • Battery <10% White light will flash 10 times

Charging LED

  • Charging: Solid white light
  • Fully charged: Light will turn off

Performance

Innokin Klypse - Device 1

I really enjoyed using the Innokin Klypse and I found its performance to be up there amongst the best of the best. The 0.8Ω mesh pod offers a loose MTL draw that is quite satisfying. The coil delivers an excellent flavor that is really smooth and warm, and the draw with nicotine salts is very satisfying. The throat hit is also smooth and not too harsh.

I had zero leaking or performance issues while using the Klypse. I didn’t experience any dry hits either and found that the coil wicked without issue, even with heavy vaping and taking one draw after another. The draw activation worked flawlessly every time as well. Overall, the performance of the Klypse is top notch.

Verdict

The Innokin Klypse is a great device if you are just starting out or if you are looking for something that is super user friendly and easy to just vape with. There are lots of pros for this device, including the long lasting battery life, great flavor, and an overall great design which includes the magnetic dust cap.
