VECEE ELLO Disposables Review

Design & Build Quality

The VECEE ELLO is a nice and colorful disposable vape. It’s not over-designed for the sake of style and instead has a clean and simple look. The square body features rounded edges and corners and comes in at 75mm tall, 42mm wide, and 20mm thick. It’s a nice size for a disposable and it feels good in the hand.

The ELLO features two different materials: shiny plastic and a soft-touch material. The mouthpiece and top third of each device is made of a shiny plastic material, as is the base. The rest of the ELLO is finished in a soft-touch material that feels nice and also adds grip.

The downside to the soft-touch material is that it picks up and holds dirt like no tomorrow. If your hands are even the slightest bit dirty it’s going to transfer onto the ELLO. The shiny plastic also picks up and shows scratches quite easily. The bright side is that these are disposable, so you’ll only be using them for a few weeks at most.

ELLO, VECEE, and the flavor is printed in white on the front of each ELLO device. There’s also a lanyard anchor spot on the top corner but unfortunately you don’t get a lanyard included in the box. 

On the bottom of the device is the airflow hole, LED indicator, and Type-C charging port. The LED lights up blue and is not too bright, but it can’t be covered or else it messes up with the draw-activation.

Features

The ELLO is a small disposable with a lot of ejuice and a lot of longevity. Each one comes with a 650mAh battery and comes filled with 14ml of ejuice. The battery can be recharged with the Type-C charging port on the bottom of each device, allowing for up to 7000 puffs from each ELLO.

The ELLO is only available in 5% nicotine strength and comes filled with nicotine salt ejuice. I found the draw to be quite smooth for a high-nicotine strength disposable, but if you’re used to 20mg/ml then you will probably find these to be too much. 

There are no buttons on the ELLO. All that you have to do is inhale on the mouthpiece to vape. Inside there is a mesh coil that does the vaporization work.

A full charge with the ELLO will get you 300-400 puffs. These can’t be vaped on while charging, so you’ll have to use another device while they recharge. It takes around forty minutes for a full charge, so at least you won’t be waiting for too long.

Flavors

There are eleven flavors available for the ELLO, with more planned for the future. Right now, the flavors are mostly fruit/ice flavors, with a few non-ice fruit flavors available. There is also a candy flavor, a mint flavor, and a tobacco flavor. 

I’m going to describe how these flavors taste to me and what I think of them. However, keep in mind that just because I like a flavor that does not mean that you will like it. Similarly, if I don’t like a flavor this does not mean that you will not like it. This is solely my subjective opinion.

Tobacco

This tobacco flavor is bold, strong, and dense. It has an authentic tobacco flavor that is great, while also providing that strong draw that I look for with a tobacco flavored vape. A lot of other tobacco flavors that I’ve tried go too heavy on the tobacco flavor to the point where it kills it, but this one is great.

Mango Ice

The mango flavor is natural and sweet, with a good amount of cooling to add to the flavor profile. The sweetness from the mango is balanced and not overwhelming, which makes this a good flavor that I can vape on all day.

Candy Ice

This is an odd flavor because it’s sweet and has a candy-like taste, but it’s impossible to put my finger on which candy. It doesn’t taste like any candy in particular, but like a mash-up of different sweets. This isn’t a particular favorite of mine, and the added cooling doesn’t make it any better.

Double Apple

What’s better than an apple flavor? Why, a double apple flavor of course! On the real, this is a great apple flavor. It’s a mix of red and green apples and it has an authentic apple taste that hits just right. If you get the ELLO and you like apple flavors then make sure you pick this one up.

Grape Ice

This is another flavor that I’m not too fond of. The grape and ice hit together and the grape  is a little too sweet and synthetic. I couldn’t vape on this flavor for too long before needing to switch to something else, but maybe that’s just me.

How do they vape?

VECEE’s ELLO disposables have a nice, simple, and clean design, but how do they vape? The draw from these is quite smooth for a 5% disposable; almost too smooth. I was able to get the nicotine satisfaction that I was looking for, but only after vaping many more puffs than I normally would with a 5% disposable. 

I’m used to 5% disposables delivering a strong throat hit and draw, but I didn’t get that with any of the flavors that I tried. The bold tobacco flavor was the closest one to feeling like a 5% disposable should, but that’s only because the flavor itself has a little “kick” to it. 

The flavors are okay, but I would only vape on the Double Apple, Tobacco, and Mango Ice flavors as all day vapes. Candy Ice and Grape Ice just didn’t do it for me because of the off-taste.

One thing that the ELLO has going for it is the tight mouth to lung draw that each one delivers. It’s fine-tuned to be just right and the draw activation works flawlessly each and every time. These deliver a good draw in terms of the airflow, even if the strength of the draw is a bit lacking.

Verdict

VECEE’s ELLO disposables are super smooth for being 5% nicotine strength; perhaps too smooth. I didn’t get the strong draw and satisfaction that I desired while vaping these, requiring more puffs to get to that desired level of satisfaction.

While they weren’t to my wants and needs, these could be good for vapers who are looking for a disposable that is in between that 25mg and 50mg range. Since these don’t hit as hard as other 5% disposables they might be perfect for someone who finds other 5% disposables to be too much but 2% to be not enough.

The flavors are another pain point. Three out of the five I tried were quite good, but the other two really missed the mark. I will say though that the tobacco flavor here is one of the best that I’ve tried and so I’m going to continue using it for as long as it lasts.
